Owing to the time-expensive calculation of the evolutionary algorithm and especially the collision-detection algorithm, the calculation of robot trajectories is mostly not in real time. Therefore, this paper presents an approach for shortening the calculation time by parallelising the whole algorithm. First, the problem to be solved is described. Here, the special coding of the robot trajectories is presented. Then the parallel algorithm and its realisation on a cluster is introduced. In the process of the hardware design it is very important to regulate the operation of control logic, especially when it is separated into several independent blocks. This paper shows the manner of hardware mid-value select architecture (HMVSA) control logic coupling. Realization of HMVSA assumes ASIC chip implementation, and further integration within fault tolerant data acquisition systems (FTDAS). However, this integration in practice is performed over a finite impulse response leading to the inaccuracy in SPL determination. In order to analyse the mentioned accuracy, the influence of finite upper limit of integration and noise is investigated using impulse responses generated by simulation and measured responses. The results show that an acceptable accuracy of the SPL for response with sufficiently small noise floor (below -20 or -15 dB) is obtained if the integration upper limit is placed at T/3 or T/4. It describes C compiler designed for the Micronas Semiconductor MAS family of DSPs, that are primarily designed for real-time audio and speech applications. During the development of this compiler, several problems related to the highly asymmetric architecture were faced. We describe the support for different memory word-accumulator lengths, the use of instructions with memory operands, MAC instructions, the use of the auto increment/decrement feature of address generators and hardware loops. Also we present ways to improve resource allocation, context saving and synchronizing code.
