We introduce the closed form relations for the design of fast IIR filters for interpolation, decimation, and QMF banks with perfect magnitude reconstruction. The design is based on the third-order half-band IIR filters and the fifth-order non minimum-phase optimal FIR filters.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. In such a circuit there is an additional need to monitor the current that flows from and to the battery. This current can be as high as 2A for GSM applications. We present a low-offset current sense amplifier that can allow sensing of currents as low as 10mA.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. The purpose of this redesign was compactness and price decrease, which would make this equipment concurrent on the world market, and still fulfilling all technical standards. This was achieved by integration of three units from the previous modular solution into one unit and development and application of a new multiplexing unit design which brought together the E2 multiplexer and service channel multiplexer for service communication and remote monitoring and control.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. First of all, an overview of the NRD guide technology progress is presented. It indicates that the hybrid planar/NRD-guide (HP/NRDG) technology provides a straightforward assembly of MMIC circuits with NRD-guide. To begin with, a simple fabrication technique for NRD-guide is described, which allows the fabrication of complex NRD circuits in a single step. Then, a new magic tee junction based on HP/NRDG technology is presented with measured results. New mode suppressor topologies compatible with the HP/NRDG technology are discussed for spurious waveguide modes, the LSE/sub 10/ mode and also the LSM/sub 10/ mode. Finally a discussion is made on different design possibilities of HP/NRDG power amplifier topologies. The present overview of some of our ongoing research work on the HP/NRDG technology suggests that the realization of a low-cost millimeter-wave transceiver is possible.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. GSM standard and radio requirements are reviewed, and circuits that meet those requirements are discussed. A low-phase noise VCO, a high linearity low noise amplifier, a high linearity mixer, and a low-residual phase noise buffer amplifier, all fully integrated in 0.25 /spl mu/m BiCMOS technology, are presented. Performance of these circuits demonstrated that it is feasible to use low cost silicon technology for base station receiver radios.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. The design of a 32-bit bus transceiver is efficient when either capacitive load/coupling between bus lines causes transitions or signal delays on such lines with respect to the fault-free case, or when permanent faults (stuck at zero/one) on bus lines exist. Transient errors are detected by self-testing checking hardware, while permanent faults are sensed by boundary scan logic. The transceiver features high-speed online detection and can be implemented using custom and semi-custom VLSI ICs, very deep submicron technology, as well as low-cost FPGAs.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. Information is mostly stored directly, and can then also be interpreted directly. However, since each information can also always be assigned to a certain context, there is a close assumption that each information is also redundant. An adapted mathematical context-oriented transformation enables, therefore, a secured increase to the effectiveness of general compression algorithms, which can be used for data storage and transfer.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service.
