Abstract

We describe realization of indoor unit for the new series of digital radio relay systems produced by Institut IMTEL, RRU13A and RRU23A. The purpose of this redesign was compactness and price decrease, which would make this equipment concurrent on the world market, and still fulfilling all technical standards. This was achieved by integration of three units from the previous modular solution into one unit and development and application of a new multiplexing unit design which brought together the E2 multiplexer and service channel multiplexer for service communication and remote monitoring and control.
