Digital beamforming consists of antenna elements (array), receiver modules, analog-to-digital converters and a controller. These adaptive radar systems have been successfully applied to the practical tasks of processing measured data from the experimental phased-array antennas. These antennas follow the classic \"digital beamforming\" model since we have available the digitized amplitude and phase of the received signal at every antenna element. In receive mode the main advantages of adaptive radar systems are improved fast adaptive pattern nulling, antenna self-calibration, ultra-low sidelobes and adaptive space-time processing.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. The dynamic time-warping method is applied for implementation of the very fast real-time speech sequence recognition. An advanced version of the basic algorithm is incorporated in the AREX v1.0 application for the real-time isolated speech sequence recognition. The application developed by the author is intended to operate as a real-time voice command processor.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. The basic idea is that a pseudo bit error ratio (PBER) detector is used for fast detection of loop synchronization loss, and to trigger the frequency-sweeping circuitry. After synchronization is achieved the PBER detector detects the small BER and switches off the sweeping circuitry. Several types of PBER detector are considered and experimentally tested. One version is implemented in IMTEL's (Institute for Microwave Techniques and Electronics) digital radio relay systems (DRRS) RRU13A and RRU23A.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. First, the conditions under which the dispersion effects dominate over the nonlinear effects are defined. The case of Gaussian pulse propagation is assumed. The error probability is calculated for unchirped and chirped incident pulses in the presence of dispersion, timing jitter and Gaussian noise. Also the detailed analysis of obtained results is performed.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. In this paper all such problems are evaded/eased by extracting the transmission zeros as groups to form circuit sections which are readily convertible to multiple coupled resonator forms. In this approach, transmission zeros at s=0 and s= /spl infin/ are extracted as groups to form doublets of resonators, the j/spl omega/-axis and /spl sigma/-axis transmission zeros are extracted as groups to form triplets of resonators, pairs of j/spl omega/-axis and /spl sigma/-axis transmission zeros and complex transmission zeros are extracted as groups to form quadruplets of resonators, etc. The classical element extraction procedure in transformed frequency domain is revised to cover extraction of complex transmission zeros as forth order section by zero shifting from both s=0 and s= /spl infin/ leading to realisation as a quadruplet of resonators. Thus, the theory of cascade synthesis is generalised to include cascaded doublets, triplets, quadruplets and other N-tuplets of resonators as building blocks. It is found out that the limitations due to usual numerical accuracy problems are also reduced a lot and the resulting element value spreads can be controlled to avoid extreme values.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. Further, many historians and book writers have elevated the names of entrepreneurs and technologists for discoveries made by early pioneers, and if we are not more mindful our historical heritage will be lost forever.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service. The noise modeling is based on a wave representation of transistor intrinsic circuit. The variable noise wave temperatures are introduced as empirical parameters of the model and their frequency dependence is modeled using polynomial regression. In that way noise temperatures can be computed for any frequency from desired frequency range yielding modeling of noise parameters with very good accuracy.","PeriodicalId":253344,"journal":{"name":"5th International Conference on Telecommunications in Modern Satellite, Cable and Broadcasting Service.
