The object of analysis was online dictionaries: ABBYY Lingvo, Multitran, Babylon NG, Duden online, Langenscheidt online. These electronic tools are effectively used at the Department of Applied Linguistics of the Lviv Polytechnic National University o in the process of teaching German as a sпecond foreign language and the cycle of translation disciplines for the training of specialists of the first (bachelor) level of higher education in the field 035 \"Philology\" (disciplines: \"Modern German Language\", \"Practice of Speech\", \"Translation practice\", \"Translation workshop\"), fields of knowledge 03 \"Humanities\" in face-to-face, distance and mixed learning conditions. It is noted that in the era of digitization, electronic means of education, in particular lexicographic sources, occupy a significant place in the educational process, becoming an integral part of it, which is explained by the successful competition of electronic sources with their paper counterparts. Electronic dictionaries make it possible to optimize the volume and composition of articles, combine different forms of information presentation (text, sound, graphics, animation), supplement and correct the content of databases, rationally structure information using hypertext technologies. The research is based on scientific and methodological principles regarding the use of electronic dictionaries in the process of learning foreign languages, developed in the works of domestic and foreign authors. Hodonyms are characterized in the context of denotative-nominative classification. It was found out that the formation of Ostroh hodonymicon began at the end of the XVI century, and the first mentions of street names were recorded in the Primary Tribute Register of Ostroh Volost and Zdovbytsky Dvir in 1576. Two types of street names were distinguished and described: hodonyms-landmarks that helped people to orientate them locality, and really hodonyms that clearly named the street. The names of streets, which consist of their own name supplemented by an indication of an external object, were analyzed separately. It has been determined that for medieval Ostroh landmark objects were the princely castle, city fence (palisade), Lutsk and Tatar towers, pond, river, mills, etc. It was found that really hodonyms are most often motivated by the names of ethnic groups (Jews, Turks, Tatars) or the type of people’s activity (shoemakers, wheelwrights, tanners) who lived on the streets of Ostroh, as well as by the names of cities (Lutsk, Rivne, Zviahel, Kamianets), in the direction which were led by the street. Single hodonyms are associated with features of the terrain, place or order of location and in historical documents they have different names, which prove their non-codification and instability. Examples of the renaming of some streets at the end of the XVI century have been recorded and the formation of memorial hodonyms common in the modern onymic space has been fixed. It has been confirmed that the hodonymicon of the XVI–XVII centuries reflects key information from the history of Ostroh development, settlement of suburbs and social stratification of the city.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». So, the paper deals with cooperative learning, which is a teaching arrangement that refers to small, heterogeneous groups of students working together to achieve a common goal.  We have conducted a theoretical analysis of the relevant books and papers and analyzed the essential conditions for the use of cooperative learning. The paper has studied possible failures when applying this toolkit and suggested ways to solve problems or prevent failures. The role of a teacher is really great when planning cooperative activities. She/he should identify objectives, decide group sizes and divide students into groups, prepare instructions to promote interdependence, specify group roles, assign tasks, monitor the behavior of students, provide help, sum up, evaluate the work result, and give feedback. Although she is called the “conscience of the nation”, she has eschewed all labels, clichés and classifications; a dissident, she has reaffirmed the importance of freedom of thought and art through her life choices and her work. Yet, Lina Kostenko − the poet − deserves a closer reading. In this paper, the authors analyze the structure of the poem “I will listen to this rain. It steals up and clamors…” and examine its form and content.  The poem’s mirror-like symmetry creates a stereoscopic effect, opening the door to new interpretations. The poem’s fascinating intermedial elements, including an intertextual reference to “Forest Song” by Lesia Ukrainka and auto-intertextuality, as well as biographical parallels, enable a broader understanding of the work. As the focus narrows, then widens, and other planes are superimposed, the poem expands, revealing its many layers. The sound-symbolism employed in the poem speaks volumes: in addition to the more apparent use of alliteration and assonance in the first few lines, the attentive reader will find patterns on another level that connect the earthly, the human and the beyond, the cosmic; the living and the dead; the transient and the eternal. The poem “I will listen to this rain. It was established that the researched concepts have a complex structure and a branched nominative field. One of the significant linguistic resources of the linguistic representation of conceptual units in journalism is artistic imagery, because it is tropes that convey cultural meanings in a special way: through mentality, ontology, stereotypes, the modern artistic dimension of the representation of the present. Thanks to the tropeic constructions, the authors emphasize the individual vision of certain realities of modern military life, single out the essential features, signs of the personality, the described object or phenomenon. No matter which journalists choose the language means of expressing their creativity, their function is mainly aimed at addressing new concepts and phenomena related to the full-scale war in Ukraine, and also, taking into account the interest of readers, not only to increase the information literacy of the recipients, but also to cause excessive emotionality and encourage to react to the journalistic text, to critically interpret the described current events. It has been proven that in newspaper discourse media workers achieve a high degree of emotional coloring and expression thanks to the use of profanity to denote the enemy, because newspaper texts have accumulated folk wisdom, national characteristics, and moral-ethical, philosophical views in the process of verbalizing the semantic field of concepts of war, peace, woman, man. That is why, for an objective understanding of conceptual units, we used an integrative approach, which involves the synergy of linguistic, psychological, and cultural understanding. This theme has not been designated as the subject of a special study and merits for the utmost respect, because it is closely related with features of the development of Gogol’s plan and idea. The object of the article is chronotopic organization of the second part of the poem, where the richness of the description of the activity is attributed to the trio of equals: «earthly», «transitional» and «spiritual». Such threefold conception sacralizes the text, potentiates the sound of the idea of resurrection, imbues the realities with the biblical symbolism. Coordinates of the road as a main motive of the second volume of «Dead Souls» are universalized, the space paradigm is realized with the help of the landscape, which is different from the images of pictures of nature in the first part of the poem. Specular image of the churches and trees complements the mountain landscape and organizes a harmonious perspective of connection between nature and the human world. Mirror projections semantically correlate with the infernal, or eternal matrix, microcosm of «dead» and «alive», and are identified as a device of complexity, characteristic of medieval painting, Renaissance and baroque art, as a manifestation of «reversal perspective». The author also studies the specificity of the landscape and the functioning of biblical images associated with it; a role of «dumb scene», spacious «confusion»; a motive of the road as an axial constant of the poem, which has two dimensions: the road, connected with Chichikov’s troika, and the road of all historical world, which Rus-troika rushes, which correlates with the synodic spiritual vertical, with the Easter basis – a characteristic of Gogol’s «Dead Souls» structure.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». It focuses on the work of Mykola Chernyavsky, a representative of Ukrainian literary modernism, a victim of Stalinist totalitarianism. The main attention is paid to the understanding of the writer’s work, which was the result of his trip to the Crimea in the summer of 1927 for the sanatorium treatment. This trip is interpreted as an example of a modernistic pilgrimage, with its attraction to the discovery of a new space, which becomes a lever of self-discovery, and a means of self-identification. The non-fiction text of Mykola Chernyavsky, which was preserved in his diary entries, is analyzed for the first time. It is proven that the writer’s notebook became the protext of the author’s further artistic searches in poetry and prose. The Crimean routes of the author recorded in his documentary records, are traced. The main artistic toposes can be devided into three groups topos: natural (sea, mountains, vegetation), social (populations, sanatoriums), ethno-cultural. Despite the dominant imperial discourse in Crimea, which was preserved in the post-revolutionary period, the author discovers the world of the Crimean Tatars, finds areas of popularity of Ukrainian culture, reflects on its achievements and prospects on the Crimean Peninsula. The poetic cycle “Crimea” (1927-1928) by Mykola Chernyavsky testifies to the originality of the author’s artistic visions, his intensive use of toponyms, with the help of which he expresses the uniqueness of the Crimean space. In the novel “Under the Black Flag” (1928), the writer introduces the inner text – short story “Iphigenia in Taurida”, which becomes an artistic version of the writer’s diary, resorting to gender inversion: the female protagonist acts as an observer in it. The conclusions emphasize the cartographic originality of the writer’s Crimean work, the sacralization of the region's landscape, its utopian aura, which can cause catharsis in pilgrims. Bestіuk","doi":"10.25264/2519-2558-2023-17(85)-244-246","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.25264/2519-2558-2023-17(85)-244-246","url":null,"abstract":"The author of the article believes that Sofia Yablonska's travelogue “The Magic of Morocco” (1932), in the artistic expression of which pictorial semiotics is metaphorized, should be studied in creative tandem with Zinaida Serebryakova's Moroccan series of paintings. Such verbal-visual collaboration has other motivational factors. Born in Ukraine, both artists visited Marrakesh, where their African tour began, in 1928 and perceived its geographical and urban infrastructure, national types, cultural and religious traditions through an imagological lens. In Marrakesh, whose name translates as “land of the Gods”, European travelers experience “intoxication” (S. Yablonska) and “intoxication” (Z. Serebryakova) from the initial “meeting with the Other” (A. Fіut). Endowed with transcendental conductivity, the toponymy of this city, which corresponds to the descriptions of hierophanies, motivates the mental stirrings, shocks and surprises modeled in the travelogue, as ecstatic practices of pagan, Christian and Buddhist traditions. Stunned by the exotic colors of Marrakech, they capture the same locations: a panoramic view of the city against the backdrop of the Atlas Mountains; the central square of Jemaa el-Fna, which is perceived as theatergoers, sincerely enthralled by the staged attraction; reproduce a multicultural gallery (Arabs, Berbers, Negroes, “Senegalese”, “Sagarians”); local women are presented with special erotic sensuality. Attention is primarily focused on those features of the poetic language that reflect its historical dynamics and allow us to classify the poetic language as one that, while preserving its universal typological features (expressive richness, aesthetic significance, etc.), at the same time appears as a specific historical phenomenon. The article is devoted to the analysis of poetic language as a linguistic and aesthetic object that needs to be studied in all its inherent complexity, heterogeneity and contradiction, and dialectical unity of all components. The comic plays an extremely important role in philosophical, civic, and love lyrics, which is manifested in the semantic and compositional plans of the artistic text. The subject of the research is the comic in different genres of lyrics, that is, the subject itself is not limited in any way to a single variety or the work of one poet. In general, poetic language determines the means of creating the comic, its paradigm, and its scope. The development of the poetic language directly affects the peculiarities of the linguistic expression of the comic. The study of the constituent elements of poetic imagery is an important condition for the linguistic analysis of the specifics of linguistic means and techniques of comic creation, in particular with regard to emotional and expressive charge and evaluative semantics. The linguistic means of creating the comic is quite important and valuable because with its help a certain artistic effect is achieved, it is the linguistic means that activate the reader's understanding of the comic at the denotative level, where encyclopedic information, presupposition, etc., play an important role.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». Derivatives in formal and semantic structure of text provide semantic compression, which lies in their ability to express semantics, commensurate with the value of syntactic units, as well as grammatical re-categorization of sign values, which provides for them new communicative functions. A derivative word, in comparison with simple, underived, introduces more information because of its motivation, because of presence in it of additional component that carries this information. The complex character of meaning of word-building units, semantic and functional correlation of most derivative words with the corresponding syntactic structures, predetermines the possibility and need for the use of secondary names. Continuous replenishment of vocabulary of a given language with derivative words serves as a very suitable material to study the ways of language functioning, its connection with the development of society. A particularly broad perspective opens the study of semantic structure in the context of a new derivative word, which can capture the direct act of word formation, as well as interpret the use of neologisms in it. Any text displays the sequence of nominative units, including derivative words. In the text, the word-forming unit receives an incentive to disclose its derivative possibilities, since the text is the environment in which the word is born, it is in it that it is possible to define the stages of the natural process of formation of derivatives. The property of the derivative verb by means of one token to convey information that is equivalent to the semantics of the syntactic construction, can become decisive in the content organization of the text.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ».
