Formation of linguo-socio-cultural competence as a constituent part of communicative competence of a philology student from the point of view of culture text study is analyzed. Attention is focused on the fact that “informative condensation” and “hyper-semanticism” as well as conceptuality, emotionality, imagery, rhythm and euphony cause inexhaustible esthetic, cognitive, communicative, personally-valuable, mnemonic, educational and training opportunities of authentic poetic text. The main object of poetry – depiction of a person; his inner world, his thoughts about the surrounding world and life in it, his attitude to other people, the nature and society; emotions, feelings and unrest of human’s soul. Depicting events and phenomena of everyday life of a person, raising his psychological, ethical, esthetical, ideological, philosophical, spiritual and other issues, expressing attitude to them of a poet as a thinker and humanist, poetry in such a way, firstly, demonstrates solution of these issues, and secondly, performs its cognitive-informational function. Is serves to enrich socio-cultural experience of a person, his spiritual, moral and intellectual improvement. Communicative, axiological, cognitive, informational, culture-bearing, meaningful functions of poetic text are characterized. {"title":"THE EXTRALINGUAL PECULIARITIES OF AMERICAN POLITICAL DISCOURSE","authors":"Yu. The prerequisite for such popularity to this type of speech activity is, on the one hand, the use of advanced communicative technologies of language nature, and, on the other hand, the outstanding personalities of the US politicians themselves. Undoubtedly, the main way to wage a political struggle with opponents for the favor of voters is to use various linguistic means: communicative strategies and tactics, stylistic devices, lexical units with pragmatic potential inherent at the semantic level, prosodic elements. However, when composing these elements in order to realize speakers’ communicative intentions, politicians and their speechwriters should take into account a number of extralinguistic factors historically formed by American society, which significantly affect the construction of political texts. The purpose of the article is to identify, describe and systematize such factors. The material for the analysis is the corpus of election speeches of the main candidates for the US presidency in 2020, Joe Biden and Donald Trump compiled from texts taken from the website The American Presidency Project. Speech processing, lexical items search, and access to context have been carried out using the corpus management software AntConc 3.4.4. In order to identify the relationship between extra-linguistic factors and the means of realizing their influence on the recipients, pragmatic and contextual analyzes of election speeches have been applied. The author covers the problem of conceptual identification of dialogue of cultures and cross-cultural dialogue and outlines that this phenomenon can exist in synchronic and diachronic dimensions. The author describes the characteristic features of dialogue of cultures as the interaction and influence of various historical and modern cultures. The article shows that dialogue of cultures is a complicated and multifaceted phenomenon. It emerges as philosophical concept and it functions as scientific and methodological and linguistic-methodological method in the linguistic problem field. The article emphasizes that today Ukrainian educational space is one of the platforms for cross-cultural dialogue implementation. The main vectors of the development of dialogue of cultures in German learning process are primarily related to linguistic studies and translation studies. Based on the analysis of German stable expressions, the author shows the importance of awareness of German people culture rooted in ethno-linguistic markers of phraseological units for faithful interpretation of the meaning of phraseological unit and formation of cross-cultural competence of the students. The author emphasizes the necessity to use authentic educational materials and interactive methods and forms of learning for successful implementation of dialogue of cultures as linguistic-methodological principle. The article shows the conclusion that the implementation of dialogue of cultures is the basis for the formation of cross-cultural competence of future specialists in the field of German language. Information policy concerns all public spheres. It preconditions functioning of the social system. Change of ideas makes provision for a change in political public rhetorics as culturally accepted logic of progression of events. Rhetorics unite people emotionally, creating their identity. Texts carrying the main rhetorics in the course of the war can be called ones of the main constituents of the process of strategic communications. Texts of political speeches of the politicians during the Russian-Ukrainian war are basic factors of creation of rhetorics of this war within the societies addressed by them. The basis of their impact on the audience is the complex of stylistic tonality creation. Stylistic tonality is the text category which embodies the concentration of expressive means used by the author in their speech activity with the purpose of representation of the essence of the subject matter and their personal attitude to it. The stylistic tonality of a text is created based on the functionally-communicative features – invariant features of the texts which are based on its extralingual constituents and are called for simplification of their reveal in the text, which is the task of the addresser. They serve as mediators between the extralinguistics of the text and its linguistic implementation. The main functionally-communicative features of the speech by the Federal President are “evaluativity” and “inventivity”. Stylistic tonality of the text is characterized by the usage of metaphors, epithets, antitheses and an anaphor, as a kind of distant repetition. Russia's invasion of Ukraine took not so much the whole world by surprise as the Ukrainians. Victims of direct contact with the invaders, who have been 'providing' civilian 'liberation services' in Ukraine for a year now, from a civilised life, an acquired property and a peaceful existence, are forced to look all over the world for refuge, safe places and opportunities for survival. Accepting their refugee status, and fleeing the war, they continue to witness the hostilities and wish to report on the events taking place in Ukraine to their families. The term language of war, which appears in the text, is understood in terms of the material used by the media during the conflict, i.e. how journalists express themselves about the situation in Ukraine when presenting war reports, and in terms of social and propaganda narratives. The language of war furthermore defines additional problem planes, e.g. forms of expressing emotions or the creation of various linguistic constructions, as well as the extent to which it functions on the visual plane. The article presents a list of necessary structures, and lexical units, which can be used to formulate a message about the war in Ukraine, and the crimes committed by the Russian occupier, and help in displaying reports from the front line in real-time. The content showcases various types of semantic models utilized for text analysis, such as Latent Semantic Analysis (LSA), topic modeling, named entity recognition (NER), sentiment analysis, and dependency parsing. While each model has its own advantages and drawbacks, challenges in their utilization exist, such as over-reliance on quantitative analysis, model biases, lack of contextual information, and potential misinterpretation of meaning. Nevertheless, semantic models have significantly impacted the field by enabling the identification of instances of plagiarism and copyright infringement more efficiently and accurately. The overview presented in the publication on the essence and peculiarities of using semantic models in copyright expertise and literary analysis allows for the following conclusions. Semantic models significantly improve the efficiency of text analysis. These models use advanced technologies to identify structural patterns, themes, and similar elements in texts, as well as allowing experts to gain a deeper understanding of the works they are analyzing. In the field of copyright expertise, semantic models are used for analyzing significant volumes of text and identifying possible copyright infringements. Although semantic models have many advantages, they also have functional limitations. It is important to be aware of these limitations and use analytical models in combination with other methods to ensure a more comprehensive understanding of the text. There are several ways to address possible problems with using semantic models, including combining quantitative and qualitative analysis, using multiple models at once, taking into account selection biases of analytical information, studying the broader context, and additional verification of results by human experts. Ultimately, the use of semantic models in copyright expertise and literary analysis has enormous practical value, but it is important to be aware of their limitations and use them in conjunction with other analysis methods to ensure the most objective and comprehensive research. As a result of consideration of the achievements of scientists in the study of spatial semantics, differences in their views on issues of terminological, identification and classification nature were revealed. Also, considering the lack of a single approach to the identification and classification of the space nominations characteristics in modern linguistics, the paper carries out the analysis and develops unique identification and differential loci parameters which underlie the concept of space, i.e. a fundamental division of the lexical units semantics into two major groups “real space” and “virtual space”; principles of loci classification are proposed. Also, the research outlines the loci potential implementation spheres and their reflection in the language, types of space, classification criteria, and a wide range of basic identification and distinctive features, which are further on grouped into blocks: recognition signs (what-system)– organisation signs or space types; location and dynamic signs (where-system). In their turn, the distinctive features enable to single out the nominations in question from the empirical material; applying the developed criteria for differentiating the empirical database, it becomes possible to categorise the loci on the basis of recognition, space organisation, and location (opposition between the real / virtual substance based on the features of objective / subjective, individual / social, natural / sociocultural markers, taking into account the space type within its horizontal and vertical localisation: vertical spatial trichotomy (an overland, extraterrestrial world / real world, terrestrial / underground world); three-dimensional spatial trichotomy (close world / transitional world / distant alien world); universal space dichotomy (internal world / external world), etc.).The main criterion when evaluating whether the lexeme belongs to the loci group nucleus or periphery is the degree of the spatial semantics explicitness in the structure of its lexical meanings.","PeriodicalId":237537,"journal":{"name":"Naukovì zapiski Nacìonalʹnogo unìversitetu «Ostrozʹka akademìâ». The weight feature is considered to be one of the oldest forms of characterizing objects. In the studies conducted on the material of various European languages, the ability of the weight feature to act as a source of synesthetic transfers has been proven to be high compared to other perceptual characteristics. As a study result of the synesthesia phenomenon on the material of the Ukrainian prose text, it was found that the weight feature is often used to characterize the phenomena of other modalities. Illustrations for the use of the weight feature of \"heavy\" / \"difficult\" in the modes of hearing, pain, sight, smell, taste, and temperature have been found. The absolute favourite in the use of a weight feature to characterize personal objects turned out to be the modus of hearing (33% of the material). The material reveals the existence of certain thematic groups of audio vocabulary that have an open valence to the perception of a weight feature: names and results of the speech process, nominations related to movement, names of physiological audio phenomena (sighing), names of silence, audio expression of emotions. The use of the weight feature in the modes of pain (12%), vision (8%), smell (5%), taste (3%), and temperature (2% of the analysed material) is presented in a smaller number. In isolated cases, complex patterns of a combination of weight, pain and auditory features have been recorded. We believe that emotional vocabulary, together with perceptual modusi, are a component of synesthetic changes. Enrolment of the field of emotional expression in the linguistic objects of synesthesia radically changes the picture, since the WEIGHT – EMOTION model occupies the first position in a number of quantitative realization of synesthetic transitions of the weight feature (37%). The adjectives \"heavy\" / \"difficult\" are used to describe suffering, sorrow, and grief. Malanyuk’s poetic work. The subject of the study is images of historical Volyn in the light of M. Foucault's heterotopic concept. The goal is to prove the aesthetic and heterochronic originality of the presentation of the region in the poet’s work. The author is presented primarily as a master of literary mapping, and various spatial images, which are marked in the poet’s work by a whole range of meanings. The research overviews the facts of the intersection of the Malanyuk’s life path with Volhyn, in particular, during emigration. The main attention is paid to the geopoetical analysis of poems written in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century, such as: “Duma”, “Volodymeria”, “Dedicatory Stanzas”, “Harvest”, “Volynske” and others. The topos, which in the poetry of E. Malaniuk become symbols of historical struggles, the personification of the intemperance of Volhyn (Kremenets, Dubno, Ostrig, Volodymyr) are singled out. The special role of the pathonym Ikva in the Volyn artistic world of the poet is emphasized: the river evokes idyllic associations, ancient Greek projections, so Volyn gets the features of an utopian place. The name code of Volhyn, which is represented in E. Malaniuk’s poems by historical figures (Prince Lyubart, Olgerd) and writers (Lesya Ukrainka, U. Samchuk, O. Lyaturynska, etc.) is considered. Throughout the poems dedicated to Volyn, there is piety to the duration of time, eternity, the mythological language of which the poet is able to decipher at the level of unreality, imagination, and dream. In the expanses of Volyn, the artist meditated on the concept of freedom and affirmed his own faith in the historical prospects of Ukraine. The influence of stylistic means and techniques to enhance the overall connotative load of the advertising text of the hotel industry is generalized. Despite the considerable number of linguistic works devoted to the study of various aspects of English texts of the advertising industry, it should be noted that the English thematic group denoting the Australian hotel industry has not yet been the subject of a special linguistic description. The advertising text of the Australian hotel industry is compiled taking into account the ways of dialogization, de-automation of the addressee's perception of the language and the formation of positive emotions. The article is based on the analysis of 90 advertising texts and slogans of the Australian hotel industry (2020-2023). In particular, the following lexical and stylistic means have been identified that are widely used in advertising texts of the Australian hotel industry: hyperbole, metonymy, synecdoche, metaphor, personification, epithet, comparison, synonyms, antithesis.
