The research was carried out on the material of typical graphic, phonetic and lexical errors, selected as a result of long-term observations of the speech of Turkish-speaking students who begin to learn the Ukrainian as a foreign language (levels A-1, А-2, B-1). Attention is focused on the systemic, structural (graphic, phonetic, lexical, morphological, syntactic, etc. levels) and multifaceted (linguistic, translational, linguodidactic) nature of the studied language phenomenon. Typical graphic, phonetic and lexical errors caused by the influence of interlingual interference are classified, which allows to make the necessary accents in the teacher's work in order to prevent possible errors. The main directions of the teacher's work with graphic, phonetic and lexical material are outlined according to the types of errors. Examples of the destructive and constructive influence of cross-linguistic interference in the process of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language are given. Special attention is paid to the phenomenon of interlinguistic homonymy (“false friends of the translator”). Various types of cross-linguistic homonyms have been established according to the matching options (in the sound of the original forms of words, the sound of a single word and word combination or sentence, in certain grammatical forms, common words with proper names, different parts of speech, only in writing under the condition of different emphasis, one from the meanings of polysemous word, etc.) Methodical advices are given to teachers for working in Turkish-speaking audience, taking into account the peculiarities of the Turkish language system. In our study of the peculiarities of the narrative structure of the literary text of the New Novel period, we rely on theoretical positions related to the central categories of the theory of narrative. The main attention is paid to the cognitive and communicative mechanisms of the construction of the literary narrative through such narrative constructs as the narrator, the story and its varieties, focalization. The narrator is one of the main components of the narrative structure of a literary text, as it appears as a structural and organizing element that determines the plot-compositional text structure of a literary work. The story is considered a functional category of the narrative structure of the literary text, since it realizes the function of a narrative image, the carrier of which can be equally the narrator and the character in the literary text. During the literary analysis, the author used a certain set of methods, but the most important was the semiotic analysis of the intertextuality of individual parts of the manuscript. For the first time, it is proved that the hidden story is present in the cycle, which consists of four songs. This story is related to the time of Jakub Rynievych-Trembetskyi as the pastor of the Kiselinsk Congregation of the Socinians. The carried out analysis of 30 gamebooks belonging to different genres and publishing houses resulted in our singling out two basic types of such stories, which we termed «classic» and «multi-element» gamebooks. Each type of gamebooks has its verbal and structural peculiarities, but both of them present an existential multiverse of the reader’s survival under the given circumstances. «Classic» gamebooks rest more on the narrative itself, which, in its turn, is governed by the choices the reader makes while reading the book. The options are verbally represented as a number of decisions for the reader to choose from and, consequently, be provided with a necessary follow-up in the narrative. In «multi-element» gamebooks, the concept of «chance» comes into play, brought in with the help of such extra reading tools as a pencil, some paper, dice, numberplates or other non-verbal elements that make this type of gamebooks more interactive. The purpose of this investigation was to identify and investigate the main factors that influence the transformation of the modern English language and their general features that change the process of modern dialogue of cultures. In the course of our research, it was found that the main factors are ecolinguistic, gender-neutral language and slangisms, which significantly affect the development and transformation of the English language, and they have influence on the features of the modern dialogue of cultures. They are the most important elements of the influence of globalization processes on the modern English language. Under the pressure of these processes, the English language, first of all, undergoes significant lexical transformations, because interaction with different cultures has made a significant impact on its lexical system. It was significantly enriched by various borrowings and graphic transformations of words – a modern type of abbreviation, which is often used in Internet communication, when words can be shortened to write only consonant letters. Also, the grammatical structure of the language is changing gradually. Every year, transformations change the English language more and more. On the one hand, the English language is greatly simplified in use, and on the other hand, the process of understanding it and transmitting the message is significantly complicated by the modern social features, such as gender-neutral language, slangisms, etc. The modern world tends to save people’s time, so the author of the message should express his or her thoughts as clearly and concisely as possible, so that the recipient should be able to quickly analyze the received information, understand it and convey it as short as possible in a foreign language. At the same time, take into account the cultural characteristics of the author of the message to avoid discrimination and conflict situations. The features of metalinguistic knowledge and metalinguistic abilities are considered. Different educational concepts were analyzed for successful learning of the material. Special attention is paid to metalinguistic awareness, which is the awareness of language, its structures and functions, which allows speakers of this language to think about language and use it consciously. Metacognitive awareness is one of the types of metacognition, it can be defined as the ability of an individual to focus on language as an object in itself, to reflect on language and evaluate it. The types of metalinguistic abilities are: phonological awareness, word awareness, syntactic awareness, and pragmatic awareness, or, in other words, knowledge analysis and control of cognitive operations involving language processing. As a result, teachers should use a range of methods to increase metalinguistic awareness, such as word recognition, syntactic comprehension, and vocabulary recognition exercises. Nowadays, one of the urgent issues of modern linguistics is the study of discourse in terms of the speech behavior of a person in the broad context of his life activities in society. Directly, \"discourse\" is multifaceted and is used with different meanings. In the study, the authors used President Volodymyr Zelenskyi's speeches to the legislative bodies of other countries and online appeals to the world community regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war. The research proves that compositional clarity is essential in constructing the «public speech of a politician» genre. According to many researchers, the addressee needs to have a sense of proportion in the volume: the speech should be the topic and facts required at most. In particular, three blocks can be distinguished in the composition: – greetings to the audience; – the main part, and the summary. Each block differs in the corresponding graphic and linguistic stylistic embodiment. Attention is focused on convincing the audience and taking into account socio-cultural and historical factors, professional characteristics of listeners, and regional differences. The authors note that in each block, the president of Ukraine carefully chooses words to emphasize the importance of what he said. The relevance of the proposed research is substantiated in view of the modern needs of society and the problems of science. Based on the results of modern scientific studies, the essence of the concept of the term has been clarified. The publications devoted to the study of various aspects of the terms were analyzed, and the requirements put forward to this layer of the lexical structure of the language were singled out. It is emphasized that there are no terms that fully meet all requirements and this creates certain difficulties in the translation process. It was found that there are still a number of challenges faced by a translator who works with specialized vocabulary. Among them is the need to deepen knowledge in a certain sphere, consult with experts, lack of updated dictionaries of terms, etc. As a result of the analysis of the received data, it was found that the majority of multi-component terms in the sphere of energy are translated by calquing. The results of our research also indicate the predominance of the multicomponent term system of the energy orientation of word combinations. However, most of these terms are translated literally (calquing), that is, they have a concrete analogue in the target languages. The multicomponent nature in this case is determined by the complexity of the described physical concepts and phenomena and indicates a poorly developed term system. In our study, we interpret newspaper discourse as a complex mental and sociocultural phenomenon, pragmatic in its expressive representations, complex in content and construction structure due to the need to reflect information about the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. The modern newspaper text of the war period is a vivid representative of the use of paremiological units, which testify to an extremely expressive atmosphere in the information space and explain the national potentials and originality of the native language. A significant feature of the activation of paremia in journalism is that the modern newspaper text becomes more readable, harmonious, ethnically marked, attractive, with bright expressive semantic and stylistic shades of appreciation, relies on the popular phraseological trends of Ukrainians to express reality. In our study, paremias are understood as linguistic units with a pragmatic effect, which form a functionally productive source of expressions for uncontrollable emotions, excitement and upheavals, most fully reflect the tragedy of modern realities of war, express a positive or negative social/authorial assessment of the depicted events. Paremiological units are powerful repeaters of national culture, they contain the genetic code of the people, ethnic group, nation, so journalists use paremiological material as an effective way of rhetorical argumentation, an authoritative source of folk wisdom, to finally convince the audience, emotionally impress them, make them believe and trust the author. We have proven that the array of paremias in newspaper texts ensures the success of the communicative act, because it contributes to the process of mental encoding and decoding of information, the levelling of communication barriers, the popularization of Ukrainian culture, and the expression of intellectual thought. It is summarized that the modern concept of translation competence is defined as a dynamic combination of knowledge and practical skills to transfer information from one language to another, taking into account the differences between the two language systems, communicative situations and cultures. It is stated that translation competence is multifaceted, contradictory, dynamic and complex. It consists of different types of competences due to the translation types. The linguistic and country competence is one of the important components of translation competence and is defined as a set of socio-cultural information on the history, geography, economy, literature, norms of behavior, traditions, customs and culture realized by the cultural vocabulary of the language. The set of knowledge that forms the linguistic and country competence of a translator is summarized. The main skills that include linguistic and country studies competence are described, including the ability to identify the characteristic historical, geographical, national, and cultural features of the language communities of the country, the ability to operate cultural vocabulary; the ability to analyze dialectal and social variants of the language and describe the language situation.
