These trends lead to the emergence of non-traditional forms of interaction in the business community. Outsourcing and freelancing as forms of employment based on temporary contracts, part-time employment, and self-employment are among the dynamically developing trends in the labor market. In this regard, the identification of the features of outsourcing and freelancing as socio-economic phenomena is of certain relevance. The article examines the essential characteristics of these forms of economic relations, defines their features in comparison with traditional forms of labor relations, identifies the positive aspects and possible risks of their use. Some trends in the development of outsourcing and freelancing which contribute to their wide distribution in the Russian business reality and make them in demand among young people – university graduates – have been found. To identify professional needs of students as future actors of economic activity, the authors of the study have conducted a survey among students of various areas of study of bachelor programs, aimed at identifying students' plans for building a future career, self-assessment of the degree of development of their personal and professional qualities necessary for successful professional realization. The main goal of the study is to substantiate the economic feasibility of further development of the integration of the EAEU member states, within the framework of which the task was set to form a specific approach to assessing the quality effects of the economic integration of the EAEU countries from the standpoint of ongoing reforms, opportunities to improve the welfare of the population, the quality of life of the population, etc. The authors have carried out a comparative analysis of various quality parameters in relation to the transformational reforms carried out in the EAEU region in comparison with some post-Soviet countries, have analyzed the main characteristics of the Doing Business data, the dynamics of the Human Development Index, global competitiveness, quality of life, the Gini index, etc. The obtained results substantiate the fact that integration ties have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of the countries. Based on this analysis, some problems in the activities of the EAEU states regarding the development of integration processes have been highlighted, and they indicate that the Eurasian countries need the development of quality institutions; also, the shortcomings in the development of industry and the need to form value-added chains have been indicated. The conclusion has been made about the weakness of the institutional basis of the EAEU, and the possibilities for the development of integration processes for reforms in various areas of the economy. In order to achieve high efficiency of business processes, remain competitive and earn profit, provide customers with quality products within the shortest time possible, the company needs to optimize production, timely eliminate losses and efforts that do not bring results. The relevance of the research topic is beyond doubt, since the improvement of the enterprise’s activities at all its stages is facilitated by introducing methods and tools of lean manufacturing, which are currently widely used. Based on studying the practical experience of using lean tools by Russian and foreign organizations in various sectors of the economy, this study presents the features and benefits of the concept of lean manufacturing, as well as the problems associated with its use. The article presents the results of a pilot project on introducing lean technologies at a meat-processing enterprise in order to optimize the work of a canning shop. The project focuses on applying basic lean methods and tools: a system for organizing a safe and efficient workplace (5S), value stream mapping, work standardization, quick readjustment (SMED) and a system for collecting proposals for improvements (Kaizen). The current state of the pilot stream has been assessed in the work in order to identify existing losses and problems; the main directions for optimizing the value stream, eliminating identified problems and minimizing losses have been developed; the results of implementing measures to introduce lean technologies in the canning shop have been evaluated. Earlier in the scientific literature, the issues of estimating the probabilistic characteristics (of such problems as, for example, the average weight of the edge of the minimal spanning graph), or the asymptotics of numerical characteristics were discussed. The authors of this article have set a goal that is to find the decision rules that can be used to implement the construction of a road system in practice since the totality of the results of previous studies does not allow us to eliminate the uncertainty in choosing a specific solution that is applicable in practice. The present article examines the cases when the distribution of the cost of constructing roads is discrete (in general) or continuous (using the example of three towns and independent and uniform distribution of the costs of building roads). In the discrete case, the authors propose decision-making methods in the form of the most probable minimum spanning tree, or a tree that maximizes the expected utility or minimizes the expected risk in the game with nature, associated with the original problem. In the continuous case, the authors consider an analytical approach (in situations with a small number of towns), which can be used to find the probability distribution on the set of minimum spanning trees, as well as a solution method based on the transition to the average values of the construction costs for each road. We highlight the specifics of implementation of medium- and long-term forecasting as a management function for the regional level. It is determined that within the framework of the forecasting of economic security it is vital not only to form a complete list of internal and external factors that determine socio-economic processes, but also to identify those factors and conditions that will have the strongest impact on the individual components of economic security. The study identifies the main groups of factors that will determine the development of the Murmansk Oblast in the medium and long term (environmental and nature-related, macroeconomic and market, technological, demographic, political, geopolitical, social).The impact of factors on the potential change in both the general fields that form the level of economic security of any subject of the Russian Federation and the specific fields that determine the economic security of coastal Arctic regions has been assessed. We established that the opportunities to increase the level of economic security of the Murmansk Oblast are connected with the increase in the region's ability to develop sustainably by improving the investment climate and development of the main sectors of the economy, as well as by improving transport infrastructure. The processes of digital transformation of the economy made the interaction of professional education and the labor market inevitable, while the role of additional professional education has grown significantly. At the stage of digital transformation of society and the economy the labor market is characterized, on the one hand, by the disappearance of traditional professions and the emergence of new ones meeting the needs of the digital economy and society and, on the other, by the shortage of professionals with new competencies. This shortage is evident in many spheres, but especially in the spheres of high-tech. The problem of the personnel shortage can be solved with the strong pool of regional additional professional education system resources which exists mainly in higher education institutions. To find the solution, various forms of interaction and collaboration between educational and research organizations are necessary. The article presents the results of a theoretical research on the current state and prospects for the development of additional professional education in Higher Education Institutions. It has been established that in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of organizing the production of scientifically advanced products, it is necessary to unify the principles and tools used in solving production management problems at all stages of the product life cycle. The applicability of the concept, methods, and tools of lean production for the development of management systems of machine-building enterprises has been substantiated. A systematic analysis of the regulatory and technical base of national standardization in the field of lean production has been carried out. The classification features for the grouping of documents on the standardization of tools and approaches of lean production have been determined. A brief description of the main standards and the interconnections of their requirements when building a lean production management system is presented. A model of the production system of a machine-building enterprise has been formalized, which includes the following organizational elements: goals and tasks of management, objects and subjects of management, levels of management, external and internal requirements, processes. The model allows us to form an optimal approach to improving the efficiency of management processes based on standardization. The analysis of the level of development of production systems of machine-building enterprises in the field of development, production, and supply of scientifically advanced products has been carried out. Based on the results of the analysis, the key processes affecting the production system of the enterprise have been identified: planning, material and technical support, instrumental support, production. A development concept for the production system of a machine-building enterprise has been proposed, which is based on the methodology of Balanced Scorecard on the key areas of the organization's activities: development potential, external environment, processes and management system, financial results. The proposed concept takes into account the peculiarities of modern scientifically advanced production. This is actively facilitated by the development of digital technologies and their introduction into production and private life. The article is devoted to the development of a model of the ecosystem of a region. The tasks of the study have been to systematize theoretical approaches to regional management, to define the essence of the ecosystem approach, to analyze the possibility of its application in domestic practice of regional management based on studying the experience of its application in domestic business, to analyze the economic prerequisites for the concept of the ecosystem of a region on the example of the Southern Federal District of the Russian Federation (SFD), to develop a model of the ecosystem of a region. The main research methods have been structural-logical, system-logical, bibliographic, and statistical analyses. The theoretical foundation of the approaches to region management has been analyzed; the authors’ concept of the ecosystem approach within the framework of public management has been formed. The expediency of using the concept of an ecosystem within the framework of regional management has been substantiated on the basis of an analysis of several economic indicators of the development of the SFD and its constituent entities. As a result of bibliographic analysis, four main research discourses of the ecosystem concept have been identified including a business ecosystem, a platform-based ecosystem, and a regional ecosystem. A model of the ecosystem of a region has been formed based on region marketing, the use of its tools, taking into account active digitalization of the country's economy, and the introduction of the ecosystem approach into the practice of domestic business. Digital transformation has affected all spheres of development, especially the economy and its sectors. However, digital simulation of economic processes is still not considered a priority for the development of the digital economy, despite its innovative importance. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the transition from traditional business models to strategic management using digital twins. At the same time, the author refers to early academic papers on the study of digital twins and their role in the economic process. Based on statistical data, the current innovative state of entrepreneurship is presented. In addition, conclusions were drawn regarding digitalization of economic entities. The practical application of digital simulations in economic activity, types of digital simulations, their advantages and disadvantages are discussed in detail in the study. Relevant conclusions are drawn on the basis of the analysis. The results of the study show the importance of digital simulations not only for enterprises, but also for the country. The prospects for the development of digital simulation in Russia under the relevant conditions are described. All other things being equal, the development of digital simulation of economic processes may remain at the initial stage. These problems are connected, on the one hand, with comparative assessments of environmental measures, taking into account both their ecological significance and economic viability, and, on the other hand, they relate to building a system of priorities in the presentation of material reflecting the realities of environmental policy in the study of ecology at different levels of education and in different subject areas. The article discusses methodological approaches and model ideas for assessing the viability of economic investments in environmental activities, taking into account both social and economic factors. Approaches to the description of the relationship of scientific and technological parameters with the formation of conditions for the economically profitable introduction of new technologies, when the need to solve environmental problems is a stimulating factor, have been considered, and the concept of an Economic and Environmental Barrier reflecting the level at which old technological solutions, although they satisfy technological requirements, but no longer meet environmental requirements is introduced. It is shown that, other things being equal, the economic component is to dominate over the environmental one when making decisions on financial investments in environmental projects. However, mobilizing public opinion in support of environmental initiatives can change attitudes towards assessing the economic viability of projects related to environmental protection. This especially applies to public funding of environmental initiatives, including in the field of environmental education. At the same time, an assumption is made about the significant dependence of the perception of scientific and popular scientific information on ecology on the level of social protection of the population and the level of its economic well-being.
