Due to the weakening of the role of teacher supervisors and the lack of students' self-control, the academic procrastination of students in online learning is more likely to occur. At present, it has become a trend to use educational data mining and artificial intelligence technology to evaluate, predict and intervene in online learning, so as to solve the problem of practical teaching lag and improve the teaching effect of vocational education. In this paper, the data of \"Computer Application Foundation\" course of higher vocational students on Chaoxing platform is used to process the data by using K-means and DBSCAN clustering algorithms, and the performance of the two algorithms is evaluated by using the contour coefficient. The results show that the K-means algorithm has better performance. The students were divided into active learners, mild procrastinators and severe procrastinators by K-means clustering algorithm. Then, combined with decision tree (DT), neural network (NN) and Naive Bayes (NB) algorithm to verify the accuracy of K-means clustering algorithm in identifying the classification of students' procrastination tendency, this paper hopes to provide some advises for online learning procrastinators and encourage students to keep learning initiative and enthusiasm.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"57 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120819834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is an integrated education of aesthetics and art review, and plays an important role in improving the comprehensive quality of students. In today's information-based society, it is very necessary for schools to establish corresponding curriculum websites for primary school art courses that require hands-on participation and communication. This can not only enable more people to enjoy valuable educational resources, but also help to improve the teaching quality of school art courses and improve students' imagination, appreciation, expression and practical ability. The course website uses software to design the page, database and programming language to realize the website. The website mainly includes three parts: homework management system, website page system and learning forum system. The function of the designed system is tested and the performance is analyzed. This system enhances the interactive effect of art class, improves the teaching effect of the course, and is of great significance to promote the further development of art class teaching and multimedia teaching.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129769174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Learners may have limitation of time to understand and apply their knowledge and skills of these topics. This study aimed to create a course design and a flexible learning platform to increase the flexibility learning platform for programming languages in both the normal and the COVID-19 situations. The way in which learners learn was discussed and designed. After a lecture-based session, students could use any of their computing devices including computers with several operating systems, tablets, and smartphones to practice the exercise. Students may workout whenever they wanted and from any locations when the internet connection was provided. In the course design, it began with the programming module and then follow by the computer system module. In this module, a flexible learning platform was constructed to teach the PHP. The real server was installed with Ubuntu Linux, and environments for running the PHP. For the client, only a web browser was enough to learn coding. However, some useful editors with the ability of remote syncing files on the server, were introduced. With this platform, instructors could easily review and modify codes written by learners. Learners also gained some experiences in the computer systems module, i.e., operating systems and network. This concept was applied on a course namely “Computer Systems and Principles of Programming for Pharmaceutical and Health Informatics” in Master Degree in Pharmacy (Health Informatics) in academic year of 2021 during the COVID-19 situation. The results from the questionnaire suggested that the course design and the platform were very useful and flexible. Students had more knowledge and skills by using this learning environment.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131545593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, despite the rise of the educational technologies in online learning setting, the problem of English communication skills especially in written form faced by students is being emphasized as one of the urgent matters that requests more attentions and solutions. The problem also includes the students lost their motivation to communicate in English language, in online learning setting particularly. Through literature, it is found that the implementation of feedback provision and the utilization of learning analytics are regarded as one of the effective ways in improving students’ written communication skills and motivation to communicate in online learning setting. However, very limited studies focusing on such area are found in language education. As a result, it is necessary to propose a conceptual framework of implementation of both feedback provision and learning analytics in language education context to improve English communication skills in online learning. Therefore, this study is intended to provide a conceptual framework on improving English communication skills in online learning through the utilization of feedback provision and learning analytics. This could serve as a roadmap for future research into this topic. Furthermore, the ways to implement this framework and the implication of the framework are also discussed in this paper that can contribute for literatures.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115094230","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As digital natives, today's children grow up with video games and digital technologies. Digital games have been validated helpful for neuropsychiatric disorders, and they are a very suitable form to engage children. This paper presents an upcoming study which aims to investigate computer games as an alternative for treating behavior and neuropsychiatric disorders. It will study the use of computer games that include emotionally charged scenarios as an intervention for autistic children, especially enhancing their emotional understanding abilities. Players’ emotional response is an amazing and fundamental aspect of computer gaming experience, which is very difficult for traditional media to both trigger and capture. In addition, computer games can make greater use of player motivation, a key tool for helping ASD sufferers (especially children) concentrate on a specific task, and most studies reported positive outcomes. This study will develop a computer game for ASD therapy and then a pilot test will be conducted to validate the game intervention. The outcome of this project will contribute to the gamification studies for health and wellbeing by building a concrete design case to assist children with autism with empirical evaluation. The unique value proposition is the use of computer game to provide an engaging, effective, economic and low-side effect intervention.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129094438","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a possible tool to assist with this problem, this paper presents a computer-aided assessment system that outputs a summarized assessment for three calisthenics exercises, namely the push-up, the squat, and the sit-up. The system uses OpenCV as a platform for computer vision and utilizes Mediapipe's pose detection library to detect the pose of the target within a video. By calculating the angle between the landmark body parts associated with the execution of a specific exercise, the system can count the reps as well as provide insight on the angle depth of the exercise execution and its range of motion. It outputs this data as an Excel spreadsheet for convenience since the system is intended to assist Physical Education instructors with checking the exercise videos of their students. The system was validated by comparing its summary output with that of a human PE professor and statistically treated using SPSS. The results show that it provides a similar rating to that of the human in terms of counting total number of reps and correct reps for push-ups and squats but had some issues with assessing range of motion for sit-ups.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129290884","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the main factors affecting vocabulary learning and memory is vocabulary presentation modes. In this study, total nine categories of vocabulary presentation modes are summarized, and the short-term and long-term memory effects of English vocabulary in different vocabulary presentation modes with classical word-list presentation as the baseline are examined by a meta-analysis of 27 empirical studies about Chinese learners. The results showed that thematic clustering and context presentation have the best effects for short-term and long-term memory respectively. In terms of educational levels, thematic clustering and picture presentation are most suitable for middle school students' short-term and long-term memory respectively, while for high school, the presentation modes with the best short-term and long-term effects are word-list and context guessing respectively. These findings will provide implications for future English vocabulary learning.","PeriodicalId":200698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Digital Technology in Education","volume":"123 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123370186","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
