Excluding responses with missing data, 187 responses were used for data analysis. The respondents were 38.5% in their 30s, 47.1% with 6 to 10 years of experience and 39.6% in elementary schools. In terms of knowledge, ‘facility and energy management (4.24)’ category received the highest perceived need score, followed by ‘procurement (4.07)’ and ‘waste management (4.04)’. The knowledge category that received the highest self evaluation was ‘procurement (3.59)’, while the category that received the lowest self-evaluation was ‘nutrition education (3.04)’. In terms of attitude, the highest perceived need was associated with ‘procurement (4.21)’, followed by ‘facility and energy management (4.14)’ and ‘waste management (4.08)’. The attitude category that received the highest self evaluation was ‘facility and energy management (3.88)’, while the category that received the lowest self-evaluation was ‘nutrition education (3.15)’. The dietitians’ requirements of knowledge and attitude scores were significantly higher than their self-evaluated knowledge and attitude scores in all job functional areas (p<0.001). In most areas, the needs and self-evaluation showed significant differences according to career, type of contract, and working school level. In all functional area, dietitians’ knowledge and attitude scores of elementary school were the highest (p<0.001).","PeriodicalId":185170,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Nursing Education and Research","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122692264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data were collected from 250 nursing students using self-reports. The questionnaire was based on the Knowledge-Attitude-Practice (KAP) survey model using Delphi methodology with 3-round surveys. The standardized contents of scale were categorized into three domains, seven subgroups, and a total of 57 items. The data were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, a Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, a regression analysis, and a Sobel test. Students' knowledge level was at 57%, a low score when compared to attitude and practice. Major barriers to NFT were associated with negative attitudes such as fear of side effects or complications, or using a computerized approach. The attitude toward NFT had a complete mediating effect on the relationship between knowledge and practice (R 2 =.43; Z=7.44, p<.001). In order for students to be able to apply NFT in the clinical field after graduation, a positive attitude should be cultivated in regular nursing school curriculum. We suggest that NFT can act as a positive nursing intervention if students ’ positive attitudes are increased. Future research on a variety of types of NFT is needed. As a result, job stress had a positive correlation with the number of employees and emotional labor and negative correlation with positive psychological capital. Role ambiguity was negatively correlated with work experience and duration of employment, and there was a positively correlation with emotional labor. Positive psychological capital was positively correlated with work experience, role ambiguity, and negative correlation with emotional labor. Based on the above results, we examined role ambiguity, emotional labor, and positive psychological capital that affect job stress of nursing assistants. The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to establish a systematic education and management plan for job stress, which can improve positive psychological capital, reduce role ambiguity and emotional labor.","PeriodicalId":185170,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Nursing Education and Research","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127048892","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Physical violence experience, post-traumatic stress disorder, and isolation of self-compassion were measured using a structured questionnaire among 96 nurses in the emergency departments located in D and G cities in South Korea from June to July of 2017. The collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0 and SPSS PROCESS Macro. The results showed that isolation was significantly and positively correlated with post-traumatic stress disorder. The explanatory power for post-traumatic stress disorder in emergency department nurses increased when the interaction between isolation and physical violence experience was entered. The high-isolation group showed higher increase in post-traumatic stress disorder than the low-isolation group. Isolation was found to be the moderator that increased the negative influence of physical violence experience on post-traumatic stress disorder. The findings suggest that consideration should be given to the fact that the effect of physical violence experience on post-traumatic stress disorder varies depending on the level of isolation of emergency department nurses when developing intervention programs for post-traumatic stress disorder in emergency department nurses.","PeriodicalId":185170,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Nursing Education and Research","volume":"147 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134510672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
