It is expected to revolutionize our society, having extremely high target requirements. Moreover, it will bring new applications, new technologies, and increases on data rates, capacity, energy and spectrum efficiency, number of connected devices, among many others. The use of spectrum is, therefore, extremely important, since it is a limited and expensive resource, from the operator point of view. A solution for the spectrum efficiency is the use of DSS, where an operator can share the spectrum between two different technologies. This paper investigates the impact of the DSS feature for an LTE-NR system. Performance results are analyzed in terms of throughput and show that DSS constitutes a good feature for the future mobile systems, with an increase of spectrum efficiency and cost reduction.","PeriodicalId":165650,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Electronics and Telecommunications (ISETC)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123769994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The solar system is used to generate current and heat up water. Gathering and monitoring data can be always beneficial to any system, since upon a failure, an immediate remedy can be done. If using a reaction loop, it can react if the parameters of the system are out of limits. The presented system has 23 parameters monitored, like temperatures, pressures, flows and irradiance. There are 8 sensors systems; some of them can measure up to 4 temperatures. Most of the sensors are connected via RS-485 industrial serial bus.","PeriodicalId":165650,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Electronics and Telecommunications (ISETC)","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126772434","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two algorithms are considered: Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) and l1-magic. We compare the two methods in a scenario using nine targets, with and without noise. The number of non-uniformly placed samples is four times less than the number of uniform samples, with target detection possible even in the presence of noise. It is shown that OMP outperforms l1-magic, with spectra not affected by the Compressive Sensing reconstruction. The results are comparable with the traditional uniform sampling results.","PeriodicalId":165650,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Electronics and Telecommunications (ISETC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114505200","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During the experiments presented in this paper, the main aim was to evaluate and determine the best deep learning models that can accurately recognize the head movements. The developed system can identify eight head gestures activities. The data collected in this work was done using a 6DOF inertial sensor placed on a headphone pair from 9 volunteers with ages between 20 and 40 years old. The results show that the best-proposed model's classification accuracy did reach a value equal to 93.64 % using raw data. In this experiment, each head gesture command's accuracy was in the range of 71.11 % to 100 %.","PeriodicalId":165650,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Electronics and Telecommunications (ISETC)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121873793","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The concept of Industry 4.0 can ensure this service, offering a clever combination of many technologies. This paper presents a method for deploying a software application that provides the maintenance personnel with a useful tool, allowing them to follow the parameters of the process and to prevent its failure. The application has a client-server structure and uses the open platform communications unified architecture (OPC UA) standard and unified architecture transport control protocol (UA TCP) for data communication. The application developed using the proposed method is meant to be a predictive maintenance tool for the blower station of a wastewater treatment plant, so that the maintenance personnel have the necessary data as system health indicators. The maintenance client software shows the personnel the current functional state of the process by synoptic screens. When the maintenance procedures require it, different process states or process parameter values can be accessed from a dedicated Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) database and provide important information to the maintenance personnel (MP).","PeriodicalId":165650,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Electronics and Telecommunications (ISETC)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117020108","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper discusses the design of a containerized application monitoring temperature and humidity for IoT devices in three implementations: (1) balenaCloud for edge deployment; (2) Amazon Web Services cloud with EC2 instances; and (3) dedicated Amazon Web Services IoT service. The experiments showed that there are no significant performance differences between Edge and Cloud deployments regarding the resource consumption. However, for fast and almost effortless action, Amazon Web Services IoT is the go-to option when it comes to serverless applications based on Message Queuing Telemetry Transport. For all-in-one automated fleet management balenaCloud seems to be a good tool for IoT developers.","PeriodicalId":165650,"journal":{"name":"2020 International Symposium on Electronics and Telecommunications (ISETC)","volume":"117 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116189396","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
