These change comes along with the shifting paradigm of Colonialization that occurred in Dutch Indies, presenting figures of Dutch who were complained of having empathy towards Indies people. Multatuli with Max Havelar, Wilhelmina with Ethical Politics, Tillema with Kromoblanda, and a series Dutch Architects who are considered to have contributed to the development in Indonesia. Even thought so, there was a variety of declination from the Indies people thanks to the inability from both parties to understand each other, or as people says it lack of empathy. As the times goes on, DutchIndies people slowly accept the appropriated modernity offered by Dutch architect, however, it came with cost. The build environment culture that always been there with Indies people are seemingly lost in transition. This research paper seeks to elaborate on the discourse of empathy theory & examine it effects toward architectural dynamics in Dutch Indies in the 20th Century. This case caused the student's interest in learning physics becomes reduced. The way to overcome this case is to create an atmosphere of learning physics through various teaching styles, for example, using brain games ranking one. Brain games Ranking One was a form of the game to improve and test students' ability, whether cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Brain games ranking one is a way of answering questions with writing down answers on the board answers that had been provided with a limited time of each item, after a written response on the board, the teacher asked students to lift the whiteboard to show answers. A student with the wrong answer will be disqualified until only one student left will be the Ranking one's winner. This research aims to find out a relationship between brain games ranking one and increased interest in learning physics. Sample of this research is 180 students from tenth-grade and eleventh-grade. This study uses a qualitative descriptive and questionnaire instrument at the beginning of class and the end of course. At the beginning of class, there are 41 students (34% respondents) not interest in study physics and 62 students (34% respondents) not interest in study physics. After the class with Ranking One games, there are 93 students (51% respondents) became interested in studying physics, 68 students (38% respondents) interest to study physics and only seven students (4% respondents) not interest to study physics. This matter points out that brain games Ranking One can increase student's physics learning the","PeriodicalId":151654,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2019 Ahmad Dahlan International Conference Series on Education & Learning, Social Science & Humanities (ADICS-ELSSH 2019)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127035561","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper provides the overview of the current existing language assessment models and how they contrast to ELF communication model which emphasises more intelligibility than the accuracy of the native speakers’ norm. By providing the conversation excerpts from the students’ works, this paper proves how fossilised norms fail to assess the intelligibility and the achieved goal of the communication thus suggest the implication for the language educators. The suggestions include raising the awareness of the language educators to be more flexible when assessing the students’ oral production of ELF, to focus on how the students make the negotiation and meaning making, deal with phonological differences, and use ELF pragmatics. This study aims to describe students 'creativity in solving divergent problems based on students' mathematical abilities. The subject of this quantitative descriptive study was 72 students selected: 12 high-ability students, 19 moderatecapable students and 41 low-ability students. Then they were screened to 9 students each with three high-ability students, three students with moderate abilities and three low-ability students. The procedure of this study consists of the stages of preparation, implementation, data analysis, and preparation of reports. The instrument of this study consisted of the main tools, namely the researchers themselves and supporting devices, namely the math ability test questions, divergent questions, and interview guidelines. The results showed that subjects with low mathematical abilities did not fulfill the three indicators of creativity, so they were at a level, not creative. Moderate questions only achieve fluency indicators, so they are at a less elementary level. High-ability subjects meet signs of fluency and flexibility, so they are at the creative level.
