The development of ‘combined transport’, intermodal transport’ and ‘multimodal transport’ could provide new opportunities for the transport industry in Nigeria as a viable alternative to tackle the challenges associated with lengthy delays in cargo movement, increased cost of transport logistics and the negative environmental impacts of carbon emissions. This paper aims at evaluating the prospects of rail freight transport of cargoes from Apapa Lagos seaport to hinterland towns in Nigeria. Both primary data and Secondary data were retrieved from National Bureau of Statistics, Nigerian Railway Corporation, Nigeria Shipper’s Council, Lagos state Transport statistics and Nigerian Ports Authority and some other selected materials on the subject matter. The findings of this paper reveal a huge differential cost from Apapa seaport to the 7 different hinterland towns in Nigeria that could save importers and exporters when rail transport is used as an alternative mode of transport instead of road transport mode. This study shows that an increase in the usage of rail to haul goods in and out of the Lagos seaport hub would bring relief to the Apapa metropolis if adequate attention is given to it by the government.","PeriodicalId":145800,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Commerce and Management Studies","volume":"481 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116415466","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current context characterized by various economic and human changes has guided research on this theme. Researchers are increasingly asking questions about mental health in the workplace, exploring and studying behavioural and psychological processes related to well-being at work. Researchers such as (Danna and Griffin (1999); Martin Seligman (2000); Keyes (2002); Thévenet (2009); Dagenais-Desmarais (2010) have made considerable contributions to this issue. The emergence of new psychosocial risks, the quest for quality of life at work has accentuated a dynamism of adaptation parallel to these changes. The COVID19 situation and its consequences further raise this question of the good of the individual forced to work remotely. Leadership requires both experience and continuous development to flourish. As learners of leadership, empirical growth can be found by developing knowledge and reflecting on the experiences of successful leaders. The goal of this exploration was to provide insights that can help students succeed with their leadership challenges and leadership dreams. Moving beyond the classroom learning, this research wanted to question the conventional wisdom surrounding leadership and take the teachable moment to reiterate to students that not only can great leadership be found locally, but lessons learned can bridge that gap between abstract concepts explored in the classroom and realworld application. Interviews were conducted to explore the lived experiences and personal meanings of leadership lessons learned from leaders in the community. Identified themes and subthemes captured a structural description of the participants lived experiences with leadership and developed an aggregate description to capture the overall essence of the await and how to determine lessons learned.","PeriodicalId":145800,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Commerce and Management Studies","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129764241","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The backlog, which is still around 11.4 million units for residential needs, must be consistently realized by housing developers in the hope of consistent government subsidy assistance. The aim of the research is to analyze and find housing developer business regulations that are not based on justice values, to analyze and to find the reconstruction of housing developer business regulations that are based on justice values. The research method used in this study uses a constructivism paradigm (legal constructivism) which sees the truth of a legal reality as relative, applies according to a specific context that is considered relevant by social actors, with the Socio Legal Research approach method, because the research to be carried out is aimed at scientific research using systematic steps and controlled, careful and logical, objective and empirical and directed to the target to be solved. The research findings obtained are housing developer business regulations that are not based on values of justice, that the prevailing housing developer regulations show that the state is trying to build a framework for a fair system of relations at the system level, but in developing structures it has not fully provided equal opportunity. The service facilitation process and the resources needed have not been obtained by all parties. Reconstruction of housing developer business regulations based on the value of justice, namely the government does not ignore and pay attention to the aspirations of housing developers, especially in formulating government policies in various aspects of housing developer business regulation and taking into account the rights and compensation that housing developers must receive so that there is justice for housing developers, Norm reconstruction. The authors examined the data from 231 job incumbents and 18 students. Confirmatory factor analyses yielded two factors of physical vitality self-leadership (intuitive behaviors and advanced behaviors). Satisfactory concurrent validity with the German Revised Self-leadership Questionnaire (GRSLQ) and convergent validity with work satisfaction and life satisfaction, respectively, were established. Structural equation analyses confirmed the established results with regard to the latent variables selflead relaxation techniques and well-being. Interaction effects of participants’ age and their type of strategy use were shown via Multivariate Analyses of Variance with lower life satisfaction for high adult content users. Women reported more relaxation behaviors and greater well-being than men. The influence of technology (i.e., passive social media use, adult content use) on relaxation strategies and well-being was explored. Implications for research and practice are discussed.","PeriodicalId":145800,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Commerce and Management Studies","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121258705","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Four objectives were employed with coverage of a ten-year period spanning from 2011 to 2020. Secondary data were used in the study with total population based on five (5) conglomerate firms listed on Nigerian Stock Exchange. The tests of the four null hypotheses were carried out using spearman rank correlation analysis and also employed panel least square (POLS) regression analysis. The result of the analyses revealed the following: Cash conversion cycle (Random effect = -0.03 (0.002)) has a negative significant influence on firm profitability. Inventory period (Random effect = 0.02 (0.262) has a positive insignificant influence on firm profitability. Current ratio (Random effect = 15.55 (0.002) also has positive but significant influence on firm profitability. Quick ratio (Random effect = -12.45 (0.035) has a negative significant influence on firm profitability. The study concludes that cash conversion cycle and quick ratio tend to decrease firm profitability while we provide evidence that current ratio improves firm profitability. The study recommends, among others, that Management of these conglomerates companies should advocate for policies that will enhance swift conversion of inventory to cash to improve firm profitability for economic growth and development in Nigeria.","PeriodicalId":145800,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Commerce and Management Studies","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121286048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Computable general equilibrium (CGE) models are used widely in policy analysis, especially in developed-country academic settings and also for the purpose of sharing these lessons with potential users in developing countries. The range of issues on which CGE models have had an influence is quite wide, and includes structural adjustment policies, international trade, public finance, agriculture, income distribution, and energy and environmental policy. This paper describes how to build multi sector computable general equilibrium models for policy analysis. The article presents the social accounting matrix (SAM) that provides the conceptual framework linking together different components of the model and furnishes much of the data as well.","PeriodicalId":145800,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Commerce and Management Studies","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123000516","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
