The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive type. Grade 1-6 students from Public Elementary School 02 Cawet were used as test subjects. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The learning process that switches from online to offline learning requires preparation and adaptation by schools, teachers, parents and students. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of offline learning is quite good, but to reduce student interaction, learning is carried out according to health protocols. The process, implementation and effectiveness of online learning still need to be improved in order to achieve the educational goals of students effectively in terms of teaching, application of technology adaptation and school administration.","PeriodicalId":145800,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Commerce and Management Studies","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133214726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Things get tougher especially if the number of choices available is big. This may lead to people falling into decision-making biases which cause undesired outcomes. Financial decisions are also susceptible to biases. In this research work, I discuss the framing biases in financial decision-making. The topic is important to be discussed because the bad management of one’s financials causes drastic consequences not to the individual only, but to the society, the nation, and the world. After a thorough literature review basing on three financial decisions, savings – retirement planning – insurance purchasing, I present financial literacy as a solution for people to overcome their fears in falling into financial choice framing.","PeriodicalId":145800,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Commerce and Management Studies","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133966424","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the purpose of this study was to explore the importance of the apprenticeship system in the training and development of self-leadership strategies for SME leaders in Nigeria, as a process of acquiring self-leadership skills and implementing them for effectiveness and growth of their businesses. The researchers carried out this study through exploratory qualitative research. A total of 16 SME leaders were sampled and data was collected and analyzed from in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis which were transcribed and analyzed using Nvivo software. The interview sessions were divided into two sessions and lasted over 20 hours in total. The findings indicated that the apprenticeship system could be a training method through which the strategies of self-leadership could be imparted, going by the positive feelings and greater confidence expressed by the SME leaders concerning the training they received and its effectiveness in improving their individual and organizational performance. Consequently, the government and other stakeholders are therefore encouraged to develop an acceptable model of training that incorporates self- leadership and the apprenticeship system into a uniform standard for training business leaders across the country.","PeriodicalId":145800,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Commerce and Management Studies","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130930643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many organizations routinely measure the level of employee engagement because of its relationship to organizational performance. Reflecting on current trends indicating low levels of employee engagement, there is a need to identify best practices used by organizations that have achieved high levels of employee engagement over an extended period. This qualitative case study of organizations in Northwest Ohio, which were voted as a top workplace by employees, aimed at identifying the key cultural and leadership elements necessary to achieve optimum employee engagement. Results of the study showed leaders were deeply committed to the employees of the organizations and employees had a high degree of confidence in their leaders. The commitment and confidence by both leaders and employees resulted in a workplace culture of trust, openness, respect and ongoing collaboration between leaders and employees, and employees with each other.","PeriodicalId":145800,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Research in Commerce and Management Studies","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130705399","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
