Mustafaev","doi":"10.1109/ICIEAM.2016.7911513","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ICIEAM.2016.7911513","url":null,"abstract":"Results of computational investigation of influence of the stator yoke height on traction characteristics of 250 kW SRM-250-850 switched reluctance motor at nominal speed of 850 min−1 are presented. The computational studies used a mathematical model of electromagnetic processes in the SRM-250-850, taking into account saturation of steel and unevenness of the magnetic field distribution in the tooth area of the motor. The adequacy of the model is proved by comparison with the results obtained using the Finite Element Method. It is shown that saturation of the stator yoke decreases magnetizing force applied to the teeth area and leads to occurrence of the mutual induction magnetic flux. That, in turn, causes weakening of tracking torque and creates braking torque, and thus, decreases the electromagnetic starting torque and acceleration of the vehicle. This model includes a hydraulic circuit system model developed using the MAT LAB software, a truck multibody dynamics system model developed with the FRUND software and a control unit and control panel modules intended for user interaction with simulation process by sending commands to execute of control algorithms of a suspension bracket. Such a complex model allows simulating a control system and controllable object. The result of the work is the software tool, which allows controlling the suspension bracket almost in a real-time mode. For this purpose, the Arduino with the Atmel AVR multifunctional microcontroller was used. Embodiment of such sensor and a functional readout circuit using this sensor are proposed. The authors consider one of the most important tasks of life support subsystem — the task monitoring the state of the building foundation. For this problem, many engineering companies try to use efficient methods to reduce costs. Firstly, it is shown that a comprehensive search is only effective on a small number of data. Then, a novel heuristic algorithm is proposed, which handles large amounts of data efficiently. The heuristic algorithm for planning one-storied buildings has been designed. On the basis of this algorithm, an algorithm for planning low-rise buildings has been developed (the algorithm was tested on three-four-storied buildings). The results are compared with those of the algorithm optimization based on comprehensive search. All test cases have shown that the algorithm at low dimension gives the best results. In particular, it shows an impact of soft starters implemented on the basis of the TVR on the network voltage wave shape at their connection points. Under certain conditions, a distortion level of the regulator can exceed a maximum limit. In such cases, passive power filters (PPF) may be used to improve a voltage harmonic composition. It is shown that the PPF application improves induction motor start-up conditions; this fact should be taken into account in the PPF design. The methodology of filter parameters calculation is proposed in the paper. The simulation results are also presented, showing a significant reduction of the higher harmonics level and the motor start-up time when the passive power filter is used.
