Objectives: to assess the level of knowledge and practice on administration of insulin among diabetic patients and their care givers before and after intervention, to compare the level of knowledge and practice on administration of insulin among diabetic patients and their caregivers before and after intervention and to associate the pre-test level of knowledge and practice in administration of insulin among diabetes patients and their care givers with selected socio demographic and clinical data variables. Methodology: The study was conducted among 30 diabetes patients on insulin therapy using pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design. Samples were selected by purposive sampling technique. The tool used for the study had 3 sections: Section A - Socio demographic and clinical data variables where the items include age, gender, marital status, educational status, occupation, monthly income, family history of diabetes mellitus, duration of illness, duration of insulin treatment, person administering insulin, any prior teachings on insulin administration and its source; Section B - Structured knowledge questionnaire; Section C - Structured practice checklist. Result: On data analysis it reveals that 14(46.7%) belongs to the age group of 61-80 years, 19(63.3%) are male, 29(96.7%) are married, 11(36.7%) have high school education, 18(60%) were unemployed‚ 14(46.7%) samples have family history of diabetes mellitus, 13(43.3%) have diabetes for less than 5 years and 4(13.3%) have duration of 11-15 years, 13(43.3%) take insulin for less than 1 year, 14(46.7%) administered insulin by themselves, 23(76.7%) had prior knowledge on insulin administration. The mean post-test knowledge score (19.46) of diabetic patients was higher than the mean pre-test knowledge score (10.2). The computed ‘t’ value (-19.631 ) showed a significant difference between the pre- test and posttest knowledge scores. The mean post-test practice score (19.60) of 30 diabetic patients was found to be significantly higher than their pre-test practice scores. There was a statistically significant relationship between the knowledge and practice level after structured teaching program (P<0.001). There was no significant association between knowledge and practice with selected socio demographic and clinical data variables. Children Behaviour refers to how one conducts themselves. It is their actions, reactions and functioning in response to everyday environments and situations. The term behaviour include Cognitive activity (mental skill (knowledge)), Affective activity (growth in feeling or emotional areas (attitude)), psychomotor activity (manual or physical skill (skills). Design: Comparative descriptive research design, Participinats: Total 100 sample (50- single child and 50 – child with siblings) were selected using non probability convenient sampling technique. Tool: Likert scale Results: Reveals that in single child mean was 50.92 and sibling child mean was 100.86. The single child standard deviation was 27.61 and the sibling child standard deviation was 28.19. The standard error was 5.58 and the obtained t-value was 0.103 which are significant at 0.005 levels. So the researcher concluded that there was a significant difference in behavior pattern between single child and child with sibling. Knowledge level on behaviour pattern was classified as good, average, and poor. In sibling child, 27(54%) had good behavioral pattern, 21(42%) had average behavioral pattern, 02(4%) had poor behavioral pattern. In child with sibling, 08(16%) had good behavioral pattern, 6(12%) had average behavioral pattern, 36(72%) had poor behavioral pattern. Conclusion: Childhood period is important in the life. Many of single child have poor knowledge on behaviour pattern. It is considered as one the most important aspects of critical care nurses. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to assess the knowledge and practice of staff nurse regarding care of unconscious clients in a selected hospital in Alappuzha district. Methods: The research approach used for this study was quantitative research approach and the design used was Quasi experimental research design. Convenient sampling technique was used for the study. The study sample consisted of 40 staff nurses. The tool consisted of a structured knowledge questionnaire and a self-reported practice checklist to assess the practice of staff nurses. Results: The data obtained were organized and analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics according to objectives and hypothesis of the study. The findings of the study revealed that 40% of the nurses had good knowledge and 15% had poor knowledge in pre test whereas 65% of the nurses attained good knowledge and 7.5% only have poor knowledge in post test. In practice scores, 37.5% of nurses doing adequate practice and 7.5% had poor practice when doing pre test whereas in post-test, 77.5% doing adequate practice and none of them were with poor practice. And also showed that there was no association between the selected demographic variables with the knowledge and practice score. Conclusion: The study findings conclude that despite the increase in number of nurses, the quality was deteriorating. The sample size was 100 college going students of BCA. The tool was validated by experts and found to be valid for the study. Sampling technique: Sample was selected by using purposive sampling technique. Data collection: The data was collected by using questionnaire developed by the researcher. Results: The data was tabulated, analyzed and interpreted by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The present study confirms that the overall knowledge regarding computer vision syndrome in pretest was inadequate. This may be due to lack of education, unawareness, lack of exposure to health education program regarding computer vision syndrome. There was a considerable improvement of knowledge after the planned teaching program on computer vision syndrome. A quasi-experimental pre-test, post-test control group design was used. The data were collected from 60 alcoholic males with Type II Diabetes Mellitus of which 30 were in experimental group and 30 in control group selected by using purposive sampling technique. The total duration of the study was 30 days. Structured interview schedule, Questionnaire and rating scale were used as tools for this study. The major findings of the study show that in the experimental group, mean score percentage on overall levels of knowledge before intervention was found to be 30.3%, after intervention there was a drastic improvement in the mean score to 87.68%. In control group, the mean score percentage on overall levels of knowledge before intervention was found to be 29.86% and after 30 days there was no much change in the mean score percentage (29.41%). In an experimental group, mean score percentage on overall level of self-care management before intervention was found to be 25.21%. However, after intervention there was a drastic improvement 90.38% noticed in the mean score percentage. The study was conducted among 60 adolescences at selected colleges from selected PUC Colleges in Bangalore. Adolescence students were selected since they have tendency for strange things and risky behaviours. Adolescence were assessed for their knowledge in the first aid and an informational booklet created., the study sample was selected by non- probability convenient sampling. Objectives of the study 1) assess the level of knowledge of adolescents regarding first aid.2)find out the association between the level of knowledge of adolescents regarding first aid with their selected socio demographic variables.3)develop and administer information booklet on first aid among adolescents. 4)Tool The tool used for data collection consisted of demographic proforma and structured questionnaire, basic introduction of the study was given to the subjects. The analysis of the data was based on the objectives of the study using quantitative and inferential statistics. 5) Methodology: This study was based on non-experimental descriptive research design was selected to assess the knowledge regarding first aid among adolescents in selected PUC, Bangalore with a view to develop an informational booklet. Result: Mean, standard deviation The chi-square value of the level of knowledge of adolescents and selected socio demographic variables was significant at P≤0.05 level. It showed that, obtained chi square value for type of family, educational status of father, educational status of mother, occupational status of father and source of information regarding first aid were higher values (6.8, 16.9, 11.17, 13.58 and 16.13 respectively) when compared to the table value at P≤0.05 level of significance. Hence research hypothesis H1 is accepted. Area wise mean pre-test knowledge score of adolescents showed that, in the area of general information of first aid, adolescents had mean score of 2.91 with SD 1.09. Adolescents had mean score of 9.83 and SD 2.17 in the area of first aid on wound injury and epistaxis. It was recorded that, first aid on foreign body, dog bites and stings, adolescents had mean score of 2.16 and SD 1.84. The overall mean and SD were 14.90 and 5.10 respectively. The present study was aimed to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on level of knowledge regarding alcohol abuse among adolescents at selected nursing college in Jammu. The objectives of the study were to assess the existing level of knowledge regarding alcohol abuse among adolescents, to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching program and to find the association between the levels of knowledge regarding alcohol abuse with their selected socio demographic variables. Research hypothesis were formulated to find the effectiveness of structured teaching programme. A quantitative approach, Pre experimental (one-group pretest posttest) design was used in the study. 50 samples were selected using random sampling technique. The data was collected by using a self-structured questionnaire. The responses were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Out of 50 samples, 94% had below average, 6% had average and none of them had above average level of knowledge in pretest while in posttest 20% had below average, 76% had average and 4% had above average level of knowledge. The mean percentage score in pretest was 7.06 and standard deviation was 2.24 and the mean post test score was 11.58 and standard deviation was 2.03. The obtained ‘t’ value was 13.36 which was highly significant at 0.05 level. Nurses as frontline care providers in hospitals and community are exposed to a major risk. The major impacts of covid-19 on nursing education were unequal access to online distance learning, disruption of academic calendar, teaching and learning gap and so on. This study aims to assess the impact of COVID 19 pandemic on the academic performance among nursing students. Objectives: To assess the level of impact of COVID-19 on academic performance among the Nursing students. To associate the level of impact of COVID-19 on academic performance among the Nursing students with their selected demographic variables. Methodology: A Quantitative approach -Non experimental, descriptive research design was used in this study. The sample consists of 37 nursing students, selected by consecutive sampling technique. Result: The major findings of this study is majority 21 (57%) samples had more impact on academic performance due to COVID-19 pandemic and 16 (43%) samples has less impact on academic performance due to COVID-19. Conclusion: This study concludes that majority of the B.
