A sociodemographic/professional questionnaire and the Adverse Events Predisposition Scale were applied to 100 nursing professionals. The tests ANOVA, Tukey and of Student's t were used to compare the means of the ideal and real scales, according to the sociodemographic variables, adopting p < 0.05.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Most professionals demonstrated low and medium perception of structure and process factors. The search was carried out from July to October 2022 in the MEDLINE, Embase, CINAHL, PsycInfo, Scopus, Web of Science, LILACS, BDENF, IndexPsi, SciELO and Google Scholar databases, without restrictions regarding geographic area, publication date, and/or language. All studies were assessed for reliability and credibility, according to the ConQual Score.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Twenty-eight studies were selected, most of which had a secondary and tertiary level approach. Only two studies fell within primary prevention. The interventions were mostly carried out in groups. Data collection took place between October and December 2023, using a sociodemographic, academic and professional questionnaire, and focus groups guided by a script. Deductive thematic analysis was used to interpret the data.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Sixty-two graduate students who worked participated in the study. The following psychosocial risk factors were identified in the work context: organizational culture and function; decision-making and control; organizational changes; worker role in organization; career development; interface between work and family; interpersonal relationships; harassment and violence. A total of 796 Brazilian women participated. Lexical and similarity analyses were performed using the EVOC 2000® and IRAMUTEQ® software. Evoked words were organized based on frequency and evocation hierarchy.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The analyses indicated that the words \"urine\", \"embarrassment\", \"pee\", \"discomfort\", \"pain\", \"discomfort\", \"urine leakage\", \"infection\", \"bladder\", \"burning\", \"leakage\", \"fear\", \"wet\", \"problem\" and \"disease\" were at the core of social representations about urinary incontinence. These terms were frequently mentioned and appeared primarily in the responses. In addition to the physical impact, urinary incontinence was associated with social isolation, anxiety and negative effects on sexual health.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Urinary incontinence affects several aspects of women's lives, imposing negative representations in both physical and emotional dimensions. The rats were placed in 4 light cabinets (White, Red, Blue, Yellow). During pregnancy and the postpartum period, the body weights of the pregnant/mother rats and their offspring, the weight gain of the pregnant rats, the daily feed and water consumption, blood glucose levels, skin thicknesses, and the behavioural characteristics of the pregnant rats and their offspring were assessed.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Feed and water consumption was highest in the Red group (0.51 ± 0.06 ml/BW (g)/day). {"title":"Nurse performance in hospital financial auditing: a single case study.","authors":"Silvia Helena Meneguin, Vânia Dos Santos Nunes Nogueira, Silvia Cristina Mangini Bocchi","doi":"10.1590/1980-220X-REEUSP-2024-0391en","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1590/1980-220X-REEUSP-2024-0391en","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>To analyze the performance of nurses in retrospective financial audits, compared with that of \"non-nurses\", for remuneration of a hospital by supplemental health insurance providers.</p><p><strong>Method: </strong>A single, quantitative, retrospective, documentary and analytical case study, using as the unit of analysis a set of 238 accounting bills invoiced by \"non-nurses\" and audited by nurses for outpatient procedures in the hemodynamics service of a public hospital in the state of São Paulo, from 2019 to 2021.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Underbilling was detected in 100% of the billing groups in the \"billed < audited\" category, regardless of the procedures performed, with a cumulative total of R$ 1,024,692.00, which, updated to September 2024, would correspond to R$ 1,344,125.00. In cases of undue charges, \"billed > audited\", there was a cumulative total of R$ 647,828.00.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Retrospective financial audits performed by nurses increase hospital revenue. Diagnosis was conducted through semi-structured interviews with 20 couples, in Belém, Pará, Brazil, from June to September 2019, and the IRAMUTEQ® software was used to support data analysis. Production used textual and image resources and the Corel DRAW GraphicsSuite X6 program.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>From the corpus, six classes emerged, which were organized into three categories representative of the context. Data collection took place between January and August 2022 through in-depth interviews, which were video and audio-recorded and carried out remotely. The theoretical sample consisted of 27 participants, distributed into four sample groups.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>From constant comparative analysis the central phenomenon was constructed: Understanding reproductive planning as the key to the gestational process in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, consisting of two categories, which show divergent experiences and meanings based on whether or not the pregnancy was planned.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Personal interaction with the phenomenon, based or not on the \"pillars\" of reproductive planning, and social interaction with the multidisciplinary health team reflect on the way the woman perceives, behaves, and gives meaning to pregnancy. Data collection took place from June/2019 to June/2020 in a municipality in southern Brazil, through participant observation, ethnographic interview, field diary, genogram, and ecomap. For the interpretation, the phases proposed by ethno-nursing were followed.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Families adapt and restructure based on their children's needs. They use strategies that include adjustments to the physical environment, changes of residence, and constant efforts to ensure continuity of treatment. They depend on support from people outside the family nucleus, including schools and health services, to ensure care. Mothers are the primary caregivers while fathers act as providers.
