{"title":"Associations and gender differences between OHI-seeking behaviors and eHealth literacy among Chinese university students.","authors":"Jie Chen, Hua Tian","doi":"10.1590/1980-220X-REEUSP-2023-0340en","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1590/1980-220X-REEUSP-2023-0340en","url":null,"abstract":"<p><strong>Objective: </strong>to explore associations and gender differences between OHI-seeking (online health information seeking) behaviors and eHealth (electronic health) literacy among Chinese university students.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>Online questionnaires of eHealth literacy scale and OHI-seeking behaviors created in software Wenjunxing were used in this survey. Chi-squared tests, t-test, and Pearson correlation analysis were performed using SPSS for data analysis.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Among 5,383 participants, 72.4% were girls, 77.5% lived in rural areas, 51.2% majored in liberal arts, 76.6% with low education parents. The average C-eHEALS scores of boys and girls were 26.53 ± 5.861 and 26.84 ± 5.816, respectively, with no significant difference (P = 0.084). Data collection took place from October to December 2020, through semi-structured, individual, and in-person interviews. Prospective and retrospective cohorts and cross-sectional studies involving probable exposure to M. tuberculosis during undergraduate education, along with the tuberculin skin test (TST) or interferon-γ release assay (IGRA) for investigation of latent tuberculosis were searched. Searches were conducted in MEDLINE, CINAHL, EMBASE, LILACS, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. Independent reviewers were responsible for the selection and inclusion of studies. Data were extracted, critically appraised, and synthesized using the JBI approach. PRISMA was used to report the study.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Twenty-two studies were analyzed. The overall prevalence in healthcare undergraduate students was 12.53%.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The prevalence of LTBI in undergraduate health students was high for such a highly educated population. It was possible to present the most voted ideas and obtain final approval from the participants. The participants had no difficulty in using the virtual resources provided and, based on the reaction evaluation, they were satisfied with the tools provided.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The adapted NGT proved to be an effective method when used in a virtual setting, capable of producing a significant number of ideas and developing consensus. In the present study, the descriptive characteristics of the students and the COVID-19 risk perception scale were used.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>The students' COVID-19 Risk Perception Scale scores were at a moderate level and a similar level in both years of this study. More than 80% of the students were fully vaccinated, and the family history of COVID-19 was positive in approximately half of them. According to parents' willingness, the pair were defined as accompanied or unaccompanied group. Chi-square, Fisher's exact tests, Student's t test, Mann-Whitney, Hodges-Lehman and Spearman's tests were used for statistical analyzes.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>We included 46 children; 63% were preschool children mostly accompanied by their mothers (80%). The median mYPAS score was 37.5 (quartile range, 23.4-51.6) in unaccompanied children, and 55.0 (quartile range, 27.9-65.0) in accompanied children, with an estimated median difference of +11.8 (95% CI of 0 to 23.4; p = 0.044). There were no significant differences in the mean salivary cortisol levels.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>The level of anxiety was higher in accompanied children. There were no differences in salivary cortisol levels between both groups. Fifty-three CCC families took part. Data was collected using a semi-structured interview, a questionnaire to characterize the participants and a Family Management Measure scale. Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis was carried out on the quantitative data and the qualitative data was subjected to deductive thematic analysis.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Family members reported a view of normality in relation to CCC, also verified by the Child's Daily Life scale. Data collected remotely, through a questionnaire and focus group, analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis by Braun and Clarke, respectively. The project was approved under Opinion 22691119.0.0000.0030.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>A total of 145 nurses participated in the study in the quantitative step and 20 in the qualitative step, working in Primary Health Care in Brazil. Of the 93.1% nurses who reported having already cared for people with Urinary Tract Dysfunction, only 54.4% provided guidance, mainly for training the pelvic floor muscles.</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Even though they have legal support and access to demand, nurses do not have the knowledge to offer conservative treatment for Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction.
