Informasi biologi reproduksi sangat penting terutama untuk mengetahui kapan ikan tersebut memijah sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai dasar pengelolaannya. Cakalang memijah beberapa kali (multiple spawner), hal ini diketahui berdasarkan tingkat perkembangan oosit yang lebih dari satu tingkatan dalam satu gonad aktif. Sampel gonad cakalang betina diperoleh dari Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Kedonganan, Bali. Sebanyak 106 ekor cakalang betina dengan kisaran panjang cagak 37-71 cmFL dan kisaran bobot 902-7.214 gram yang teramati. Sampel gonad dalam keadaan segar langsung difiksasi menggunakan larutan buffer-formalin 10% kemudian dianalisis secara histologis menggunakan metode parafin dan pewarnaan HE (Harris-Haemotoxilin dan Eosin). Cakalang betina yang diklasifikasikan sebagai ikan yang belum dewasa (immature) memiliki karakteristik oosit unyolked (UY) yang lebih gelap pewarnaannya, memiliki diameter <156 µm dan Early yolked (EY) yang memiliki diameter 114-249 µm. Cakalang dewasa (mature) memiliki karakteristik perkembangan ovari berupa adanya oosit pada tingkat yang lebih tinggi yaitu advanced yolked (AY) dengan diameter oosit berkisar antara 180-448 µm, migratory nucleus (MN) 239-468 µm dan hydrated (Hy) dimana ukuran oositnya sangat besar yaitu sekitar 459-552 µm dan berbentuk seperti noda merah muda (pink stain). Cakalang betina di perairan Samudera Hindia selatan Bali memiliki perkembangan oosit yang asynchronous (tidak seragam) yang ditandai oleh munculnya beberapa tingkat perkembangan oosit dalam satu ovari. Ukuran panjang pertama kali matang gonad (Lm) cakalang betina yaitu 44,7 cmFL. Cakalang betina dewasa yang berstatus memijah aktif (actively spawning) ditemukan di setiap bulan pengamatan (April-September) dan diduga memijah sepanjang tahun. Skipjack tuna is classified as a large pelagic fish species and has abundant presence in the waters of the Indian Ocean including the waters of southern Bali. Information related to reproductive biology is very important especially to find out when the fish spawn so that they can be used as a basis for its management. Skipjack spawns several times (multiple spawner), this is known based on the level of oocyte development that was more than one level in one active gonad. Samples of female skipjack gonads were obtained from Kedonganan, Bali. A total of 106 female skipjack tuna with length range of 37-71 cmFL and weight range of 902-7,214 grams were observed. Gonad samples in fresh condition were immediately fixed using a 10% buffer-formalin solution then histologically analyzed using the paraffin method and HE staining (Harris-Haemotoxilin and Eosin). Sementara proses sertifikasi Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) sedang berlangsung, trade barrier terkait jejak karbon produk perikanan yang dikenal ramah lingkungan dan memiliki dampak sosial ekonomi yang tinggi ini akan menjadi salah satu faktor yang akan diperhatikan pasar. Dewasa ini data jejak karbon perikanan belum tersedia. Untuk itu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengestimasi jejak karbon kegiatan penangkapan (cradle to gate) armada huhate di Sorong, Bitung, Kendari, Ambon dan Larantuka. Penelitian yang mengacu pada British Standard Institute PAS 2050-2:2012, dilaksanakan pada Juni-Desember 2015. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan wawancara nakhoda dan kepala kamar mesin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa armada huhate di Larantuka memiliki jejak karbon terendah (0,59 ton CO2eq/ton ikan). Sedangkan armada huhate di Sorong, Bitung dan Kendari menghasilkan jejak karbon yang berkisar antara 0,61-1,14 ton CO2eq/ton ikan. Secara umum jejak karbon armada tersebut lebih dipengaruhi oleh aspek operasional dari pada aspek teknis kapal. Pembandingan hasil studi jejak karbon sangat perlu dengan memperhatikan kesetaraan batasan sistem produksi (system boundary) yang digunakan. The increase of world market demand for tuna, skipjack, and kawa-kawa commodities has been escalating the use of pole and line vessels in eastern Indonesian waters. Meanwhile the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification process is ongoing, trade barriers related to carbon footprint of the fisheries that are known to be environmentally friendly and have a high socio-economic impact are massively raised. Nowadays,carbon footprint data of this fishery are not available yet. Therefore research was intended on June-December 2015 to estimate carbon footprint of this fishery, located in main TCT fishing ports such as Sorong, Bitung, Kendari, Ambon, and Larantuka. The research conducted is based on the British Standard Institute PAS 2050-2: 2012. Data were obtained through in-depth interviewing the captains and engine officers. The results show that pole and line fleet based in Larantuka had the lowest carbon footprint of 0.59 tons CO2eq/ton, while the other fleets have produced carbon footprint ranging from 0.61 to 1.14 tons of CO2eq/ton. In general, carbon footprint of this fleet is more likely influenced by the operational aspects rather than the technical ones. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis interaksi trofik komunitas ikan pasca berkembangnya jenis-jenis ikan asing invasif di Danau Matano, Sulawesi Selatan. Ikan contoh diperoleh dari hasil tangkapan jaring insang percobaan, jala lempar, dan seser pada Mei, Oktober, dan November 2015 serta Februari, Juli, dan September 2016. Analisis ekologi trofik yang dilakukan meliputi indeks bagian terbesar, tingkat trofik, luas relung dan tumpang tindih relung makanan, serta pola strategi makan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komunitas ikan yang tertangkap di Danau Matano terdiri atas 9 famili, 11 genera, dan 17 spesies. Ikan louhan mendominasi komunitas ikan di Danau Matano sebesar 53,62%. Makanan alami yang banyak dimanfaatkan oleh sejumlah ikan dalam komunitas adalah insekta (Diptera), Gastropoda (Tylomelania sp.), dan larva insekta (Chironomidae). Kelompok trofik komunitas ikan di Danau Matano terdiri atas detritivora, herbivora, insektivora, zoobentivora, dan piscivora. Masuknya ikan introduksi memunculkan kelompok trofik baru (detritivora dan herbivora). Ikan introduksi cenderung memiliki luas relung makanan yang lebih bervariasi. Kompetisi terhadap makanan alami kategori moderat banyak terjadi antara ikan asli dengan louhan. Strategi pola makan ikan asli di Danau Matano cenderung bersifat spesialis, sedangkan ikan introduksi memiliki strategi pola makan yang lebih bervariasi dan oportunistik. Ikan louhan sebagai ikan introduksi dominan yang bersifat invasif mampu memanfaatkan seluruh sumber daya makanan alami yang tersedia dan menempati tingkat trofik tertinggi di Danau Matano. Tekanan ekologi terhadap ikan asli oleh ikan asing invasif di Danau Matano terjadi karena adanya kompetisi terhadap makanan alami.Trophic interactions post-develpment of non-native fish or invasive alien fish species are the basis knowledge for assessing and preventing the ecological pressure on native fish. This research aims to analyze the trophic interactions of fish community post-development of invasive alien fish species in Lake Matano, South Sulawesi. Fish samples were obtained from the catch of experimental gill nets, cast nets, and push nets in May, October, and November 2015 along with February, July, and September 2016. Trophic ecological analysis carried out included index of preponderance, trophic level, niche breadth and niche overlap of natural food, and feeding strategy. Salah satu habitat kepiting bakau (Scylla spp.) yang penting terdapat di pantai Pasar Banggi. Penangkapan secara intensif menggunakan alat tangkap bubu kepiting. Tingginya permintaan pasar terhadap kepiting bakau mengakibatkan aktivitas penangkapan di pantai Rembang dan sekitarnya berlangsung terus-menerus sehingga dikhawatirkan mengancam kelestariannya. Penelitian ini akan mendata dan menganalisa kelimpahan dan keanekaragaman kepiting bakau di pantai Pasar Banggi yang dilakukan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2019. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah line transek kuadrant. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 3 (tiga) stasiun, dimana masing-masing stasiun mempunyai 9 plot yang berukuran 10 x 10m. Pengambilan tangkapan kepiting dilakukan sebanyak 4 (empat) ulangan. Selanjutnya dihitung indek kelimpahan relatif (IKR) dan indek keanekaragaman Shannon-Winner (H’) di setiap stasiun penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan IKR di setiap stasiun relatif tinggi. Nilai tertinggi (37,74%) terdapat pada stasiun 2 dan terendah (25,16%) pada stasiun 1. Berdasarkan jenisnya, IKR tertinggi (53,5%) terdapat pada Scylla tranquebarica dan terendah (20,8%) pada jenis Scylla serrata. Indeks keanekaragaman (H’) rata-rata di semua stasiun penelitian relatif rendah. Nilai H’ tertinggi (1,060) terdapat di stasiun 2 dan terendah (0,697) di stasiun 1. Disarankan segera dilakukan pengelolaan kawasan hutan bakau di pantai Pasar Banggi sehingga sumberdaya kepiting bakau (Scylla spp.) dapat terus berkelanjutan.The north coast of Rembang have mangrove forest that remaining area in Central Java, One of the important habitat of mangrove crab (Scylla spp.) was Pasar Banggi coast. Trap net as the main fishing gear used for mangrove crab in those areas. The high market demand for the mangrove rab their sustainability. This research will record and analyze the abundance and diversity of mangrove crabs on the Banggi Market beach conducted in February-March 2019 by using quadrant transect line methods. Observation made consist of 3 (three) stations where each station has 9 plots with the size of plot of 10 x 10m. Furthermore, the relative abundance indices (IKR) and diversity indices of Shanon-Wienner (H’) were calculated for each station. The results showed that the value of IKR in each station was relatively high. The highest value (37.74%) found at station 2 and the lowest (25.165) at station 1. Based on the species caught, the highest IKR (53.5%) was species of Scylla tranquebarica and the lowest (20.8%) was Scylla serrata The average of H’ were low relativelly for all stations with the highest value (1.060) at station 2 and the lowest (0.697) at station 1. It is recommended that mangrove management be carried out in Pasarbanggi coast immediately so that the utilization of mangrove crab resources can continue. Rawa banjiran menjadi sumber daya yang paling besar menopang perekonomian salah satunya dari hasil tangkapan perikanan tangkapnya. Tulisan ini menjelaskan kegiatan penangkapan dan hasil tangkapan ikan dalam hubungannya dengan fluktuasi tinggi permukaan perairan di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada Maret hingga Desember 2016, dengan melibatkan 16 orang nelayan pencatat hasil tangkapan. Nelayan berasal dari Palbatu dan Desa Tampakang, Kecamatan Danau Panggang. Data hasil tangkapan diperoleh dari 11 jenis alat penangkapan ikan yang terbagi dalam empat kelompok yaitu kelompok pancing/hook and line(pancing pelampung dan rawai baung), kelompok jebakan /pot trap (lukah baung, jabak baung, tampirai dan tamba seluang), kelompok jebakan/barrier trap (hampang padang, selambau kasa, dan selambau sungai), dan kelompok jaring/gill net (lalangit dan rengge). Data tinggi permuka air secara rutin dikumpulkan oleh nelayan setempat. Nilai laju tangkap dan hasil tangkapan dikorelasikan dengan tinggi muka air melalui uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan alat penangkapan ikan lukah baung dan tampirai dapat digunakan sepanjang tahun. Alat penangkapan ikan selambau sungai memiliki nilai laju tangkapyang tertinggi. Nilai laju tangkap berkorelasi signifikat terhadap tinggi muka air, sedangkan nilai hasil tangkapan hasil tangkapan tidak berkorelasi signifikan terhadap tinggi permukaan air.Hulu Sungai Utara Regency (HSU) has potency with total inland waters area about 65% from total administration area. The flood plain becomes the largest resources to sustain the economic through the fish catch production. This paper describes the fishing activity and fish production on relationship with water level fluctuation in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. This research was conducted on March to December 2016, with involved 16 fishers whose collected the fishing data activity. They are come from Palbatu village and Tampakang village, Danau Panggang District. Catch data collected by 11 fishing gears which separated to four groups they are hook and line (pancing pelampung and rawai), pot trap (lukah baung, jabak baung,tampirai and tamba seluang), barrier trap (hampang padang, selambau kasa, and selambau sungai), and gill net (lalangit and rengge. The water level fluctuation data was collected by local fishermen.The catch rate and production were correlated by t-test analysis. The results show that lukah baung and tampirai might be used throughout the season. The Selambau sungai got the highest of the catching rate. The catching rateswere significant correlated to water level fluctuation. Percobaan dilakukan dengan cara memberi tanda (tag) pada seluruh sampel lobster pasir yang ditebar, dikenal sebagai metode Capture-mark-recapture (CMR) dan sudah banyak digunakan untuk mempelajari populasi biota di alam. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat tertangkap kembali, laju pertumbuhan, dan pergerakan lobster pasir bertanda di Teluk Prigi. Penebaran lobster pasir bertanda dilakukan pada tiga lokasi yaitu Damas, Karanggongso dan Karangasem dengan jumlah 2.784 ekor dan diberi tanda jenis T-bar berwarna merah yang memiliki kode. Pengamatan lobster pasir bertanda yang tertangkap kembali dilakukan sepanjang tahun 2016 di Teluk Prigi (Februari-Desember). Tingkat tertangkap kembali lobster bertanda dihitung menggunakan proporsi antara lobster bertanda yang tertangkap dengan lobster bertanda yang ditebar. Laju pertumbuhan lobster bertanda yang tertangkap kembali dihitung berdasarkan pertumbuhan per satuan waktu yang sama dengan perubahan panjang dibagi dengan perubahan umur. Pergerakan lobster bertanda diukur melalui jarak dari lokasi tebar sampai dengan lokasi lobster bertanda yang tertangkap kembali. Tingkat tertangkap kembali lobster pasir (P. homarus) bertanda di Teluk Prigi sebanyak 4,7 %. Laju pertumbuhan lobster pasir yang tertangkap kembali rata-rata 0,09±0,05 mm/hari. Pergerakan lobster pasir bertanda yang tertangkap kembali di Teluk Prigi berkisar antara 0,1-11,36 km. Pergerakan lobster pasir bertanda memiliki kecenderungan acak dan tetap pada wilayah pantai.In 2015, restocking experiment of Scalloped spiny lobster (Panulirus homarus) was conducted in Gulf of Prigi, Trenggalek Regency and the lobsters were tagged. This methods is known as Capture-mark-recapture (CMR). CMR is widely used to study of biota populations in wild nature. The aims of this study are to determine the recapture rate, growth rate, and movement of tagged scalloped spiny lobster in Prigi Bay.The tagged spiny lobster release was realesed at three locations, namely Damas, Karanggongso and Karangasem with 2,784 lobsters and was tagged with a red T-bar type that has a code. Observations of tagged scalloped spiny lobsters were carried out again throughout 2016 in Prigi Bay (February-December). The recapture rate of tagged spiny lobster is calculated using the proportion between the tagged lobster with the tagged lobster released. The tagged tagged spiny lobster growth rate is calculated again based on growth per unit time which is equal to the change in length divided by the change in age. Tagged spiny lobster movements are measured by distance from the location of release to the location of the tagged tagged spiny lobster is capture again. The recapture rate of tagged spiny lobster (P. homarus) marked in Gulf of Prigi as much as 4.7%. The growth rate of tagged spiny lobster averaged 0.09 ± 0.05 mm/day. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji komposisi jenis, hasil tangkapan per upaya, musim dan daerah penangkapan ikan hiu. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tahun 2015-2016 di Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Cilacap, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survey dan pengumpulan data bulanan dibantu oleh enumerator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi jenis ikan hiu yang tertangkap di perairan Samudera Hindia, Selatan Jawa dan didaratkan di PPS Cilacap didominasi oleh hiu tikusan (A. pelagicus) 32,69%, hiu paitan (A. superciliosus) 20,21%, hiu slendang (P. glauca) 11,25%, hiu gabel (H. lemures) 7,55% dan hiu lanjaman (C. falciformis) 6,14%. Hasil tangkapan per upaya (CPUE) ikan hiu mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 57% selama 6 tahun terakhir (2011-2016) dengan puncak musim penangkapan ikan hiu terjadi pada Juli dan Nopember.Sharks was the Elasmobranchii class which means cartilaginous fish. The number of sharks in Indonesia was increasing every year, so monitoring was needed to ensure sustainable utilization. This study was aims to assess the species composition, catch per unit of effort, season and fishing ground of shark. The study was conducted in 2015-2016 at the Cilacap Oceans Fishing Port, Central Java. Research methods were conducted by survey method and montly data collection by enumerator. The dominant fish biology observation included measurement of the fork length. The results showed that the shark catches composition were dominated by A. pelagicus (32.69%), A. superciliosus (20.21%), P. glauca (11.25%), H. lemures (7.55%) and C. falciformis (6.14%). Catch per unit of effort trends tended to increase as much as 57% from 2011 to 2016. Hasil tangkapan huhate berupa cakalang, juvenile tuna, madidihang dan tongkol dapat menjadi optimal bila paduan antara ukuran mata pancing dan warna umpan tiruannya tepat. Oleh karenanya, paduan antara ukuran mata pancing dan warna umpan perlu diujicoba secara bersamaan dalam satu kapal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan kombinasi ukuran mata pancing dan warna umpan tiruan huhate sehingga menghasilkan jumlah tangkapan terbanyak. Ukuran mata pancing yang digunakan adalah nomor 2 dan 3. Adapun warna umpan tiruannya merah, biru dan putih. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah melalui uji coba penangkapan dengan cara menguji mata pancing yang terdiri atas berbagai kombinasi ukuran dan warna umpan tiruan secara langsung di laut. Kapal huhate yang digunakan untuk operasi penangkapan berukuran 57 GT dengan jumlah pemancing 20 – 30 orang. Hasil uji statistik RALF dan BNT terhadap hasil tangkapan menunjukan bahwaFhit bernilai 5,214 atau lebih besar daripada Ftab (3,027), atau jumlah hasil tangkapan keenam kombinasi perlakuan berbeda nyata. Kombinasi ukuran mata pancing nomor 3 dan umpan berwarna merah mendapatkan hasil tangkapan sebanyak 2.596 ekor, kemudian diikuti berturut-turut oleh ukuran No.3 dan warna biru sebanyak 2.400 ekor, No. 3 dan warna putih sebanyak 2.109 ekor , No.2 dan warna merah sebanyak 2.106 ekor, No.2 dan warna biru sebanyak 1.333 ekor dan No.2 dan warna putih sebanyak 1.250 ekor.The success of huhate fishing operations is highly dependent on several factors, two of which are the size of hook and the color of the artificial bait. Catch of pole and line consisted of skipjack, juvenile tuna, yellowfin tuna and little tuna will be optimal when the alloy between the hook size and the color of the imitation bait is prorely. Therefore, the combination between the hook size and the color of the bait needs to be tested simultaneously in same fishing vessel. The goal to be achieved in the research is to get a combination of the hook size and artificial bait color are used for catching the largest number of catches. Two type of hook size are used that number 2 and will be combined with three color of artificial bait i.e., red, blue and white. The method used in this research is experimental fishing by using pole and liner sized of 57 GT ship operated by 20 – 30 fisherman. The results of RALF and BNT statistical tests on the catch data show that F-hit is 5.214 or greater than F-tab (3,027), that means the number of catches from the six treatment combinations is significantly different. The combination of the hook size number 3 and the red bait color caught 2,596 fishes. The following sequence are 2,400 fishes (No. 3 and blue), 2,109 fishes (No.3 and white), 2,106 fishes (No.2 and red), 1,333 fishes (No.2 and blue) and 1,250 fishes (No.2 and white). Spesies hiu ini masuk dalam famili Carcharhinidae yang banyak tertangkap di perairan Samudera Hindia. Status konservasi jenis ini masuk dalam Daftar merah IUCN dan hampir terancam (NT) serta informasi tentang biologi khususnya parameter pertumbuhan spesies ini masih sangat terbatas.Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi parameter pertumbuhan hiu macan di perairan Samudera Hindia bagian Selatan Nusa Tenggara Barat. Penelitian dilakukan di tempat pendaratan ikan Tanjung Luar, Lombok Timur pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Desember 2016. Pengamatan meliputi panjang total tubuh dan jenis kelamin yang dilakukan dengan pengukuran dan pengamatan langsung secara visual di lapangan. Hasil penelitian terhadap 808 ekor ikan contoh menunjukkan bahwa kisaran panjang total untuk hiu macan (Galeocerdo cuvier) terdistribusi pada ukuran antara 116 - 400 cmTL dengan panjang rata-rata 242,8 cm TL serta modus pada ukuran 240 cmTL. Perbandingan kelamin ikan hiu macan jantan dan betina dalam keadaan tidak seimbang, dengan jumlah jantan lebih besar. Estimasi panjang asimtotik (L∞) sebesar 420 cmTL dengan laju pertumbuhan (K) 0,260/tahun, laju kematian total (Z) 1,10/tahun, laju kematian alamiah (M) 0,35/tahun serta laju kematian akibat penangkapan (F) 0,75/tahun. Estimasi laju eksploitasi sudah mengarah kepada penangkapan yang berlebih (E = 0,68) oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan tindakan pengelolaan agar pemanfaatannya tetap lestari.Tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier Peron & Lesuer, 1822) were widely held in the depths of the Indian Ocean. Its conservation status was on the IUCN Red List and was near threatened (NT). The purpose of this study was to obtain the parameters of growth in the South off West Nusa Tenggara waters. The study was conducted at Tanjung Luar landing site, East Lombok in January until December 2016. The observation included total length and sex with visual measurement and observation in the field. The results of the study showed the number of 808 individues that the total length range for tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) caught in Indian Ocean waters landed on Tanjung Luar was distributed on a size between 116-400 cmTL with an average length of 242.8 cmTL and a mode at 240 cmTL. The sex ratio of male and female tiger sharks was in an unbalanced state, with larger females. Estimation of asymptotic length (L∞) of 420 cmTL with growth rate (K) 0.260 / year, total mortality rate (Z) 1.10 / year, natural mortality rate (M) 0.35 / year and mortality rate due to arrest (F) 0.75 / year.
