To achieve that purpose, the author uses the hermeneutic method of liberation by Farid Esack which wants to show the relationship between the text of the Qur’an and the context of the relationship between religious believers, which will then build justice based on human values. The key to Farid Esack's hermeneutics relates to piety, monotheism, relationships between humans, the oppressed, justice and concrete practices as a form of struggle (jihad) to humanize humans. The conclusion of this paper shows that Husein Muhammad has a very tolerant, wise and full of wisdom in conveying the meaning of religious pluralism verses. He believes that the messages in the Qur’an act as a guide to uphold human values. So that, the verse of religious pluralism requires for an equal position of religious people as God's creatures. There is no justification for certain religious communities which is the most right or which is clearly wrong. Keywords : Religious Pluralism, Husein Muhammad. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan penafsiran Husein Muhammad atas ayat-ayat yang terkait dengan tema pluralisme agama. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penulis menggunakan metode hermeneutika pembebasan Farid Esack yang ingin memperlihatkan relasi antara teks Alquran dengan konteks hubungan antarumat beragama, yang kemudian akan membangun keadilan berdasarkan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Kunci hermeneutika Farid Esack berkaitan dengan takwa, tauhid, hubungan antarsesama manusia, golongan yang tertindas, keadilan serta praktik konkret sebagai bentuk perjuangan (jihad) memanusiakan manusia. Kesimpulan dari tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa Husein Muhammad memiliki pandangan yang amat toleran, bijak dan penuh hikmah dalam menyampaikan makna atas ayat-ayat pluralisme agama. Ia meyakini bahwa pesan-pesan dalam Alquran berperan sebagai pembawa petunjuk untuk menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Sehingga, ayat pluralisme agama menghendaki adanya kesamaan kedudukan umat beragama sebagai makhluk Tuhan. Tidak ada justifikasi atas umat agama tertentu yang paling benar atau yang jelas salah. Likewise, what had been done by Islam in the Medina period as a country tinged with tensions often leading to wars with the people of Mecca who were considered infidels, although in other side building friendly relation with the Habasyah Christian State. The condition strengthens that the Qur’an has been providing guidance to Muslims in formulating the sorting of friends and foes. Related to this, Surah al-Mumtaḥanah verses 8 and 9 discuss the concept of friend and foe. It is on this basis that a comprehensive study of the concept needs to be conducted to find the whole view about the topic. This study uses a thematic interpretation method of the surah and the ethnographic analysis technique to explore the themes. The study concludes that the central theme of surah al-Mumtaḥanah is addressing opponents firmly and fairly, friend-foe relations are not solely based on religious differences, but also on real action, namely war and expulsion due to religious differences. Al-Maidah: 38 tentang hukum potong tangan bagi pelaku pencurian. Ayat ini akan dikaji dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika, karena lafal-lafal dalam ayat tersebut merupakan simbol yang perlu dilakukan interpretasi. Salah satu teori semiotika yang menarik untuk dikaji dalam tulisan ini adalah semiotika Michale Riffaterre, yang menawarkan metode pembacaan dua tingkat, yaitu pembacaan heuristik dan hermeneutik (retroaktif), disempurnakan dengan kajian hipogram (intertekstual). Menurutnya, dalam memahami dan mengungkap makna suatu karya sastra tidak cukup dengan pembacaan heuristik (makna menurut konvensi bahasa) saja, perlu dilanjutkan dengan pembacaan secara hermeneutik yang berdasarkan pada penafsiran agar mendapatkan pemaknaan lebih komprehensif. Adapun hasil dari pengaplikasian semiotika Michale Riffaterre terhadap QS. Al-Maidah: 38 adalah: lafal al-sāriqu wa al-sāriqatu dan faqṭa’u aidiyahumā, mengalami dinamika dan perkembangan dari masa ke masa. Lafal sariq dengan makna dasar “mencuri” mengalami penciptaan arti (creating of meaning) yang bisa dimaknai dengan “korupsi”, karena memliki unsur yang sama. Sedangkan lafal faqṭa’u aidiyahumā yang makna literalnya adalah potong tangan mengalami penggantian arti (displacing of meaning) dengan makna ta’zīr (seperti denda, penjara, atau pengasingan), karena ayat tersebut dipahami secara majāzi bukan pada lafal yang umum. The presence of this Madurese interpretation has complemented a series of Nusantara’s Qur’anic exegesis which has a tendency towards scientific nuances. Therefore, it is important to study the Qur’anic exegesis of cultural observers as a form of safeguarding one of the treasures of Qur’anic exegesis works in Indonesia, especially those with local languages. This study will only focus on scientific interpretations that are astronomical. This study find out, the astronomical interpretations of the Tapsèr Sorat Yaa-siin (Bhāsa Madhurā) has four broad themes; the solar system, the sun's dimming process, the creation of the universe, and the solar and lunar eclipses. During the interpretation process, Muhammad Ershad adopted a lot of information contained in the scientific discipline of astronomy. It is because the text is general understanding while the law is static, so if the law is applied, it will not regard at a person's condition and context, nor will it even see the effect of the law and its origin. Such law is not allowed in Islamic law which prohibits the application of law regardless of the context of the incident and the application of the law. Therefore, this discussion comes with a qualitative-descriptive method to analyze the concept of i'tibār al-ma’āl and its application in surah al-Nisa' especially in social verses. This concept is part of Imam Malik's method of exploring law, and it seems tobe lack of discussion or reference in Indonesian, even the Arabic references are also rarely. Asif","doi":"10.47454/ITQAN.V6I2.722","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.47454/ITQAN.V6I2.722","url":null,"abstract":"This study examines the text Terjemah dan Tafsir Surat al-Fatihah (TTSF) contained in the Bundel Naskah Kajen (Bundle of Kajen Manuscripts, BNK) which is attributed to Ahmad Mutamakkin's work. This study aims to describe the manuscript, present the edited text and analyze the translation methods and interpretation of the al-Fatihah verse contained in the BNK. This study uses a philological approach, translation theory and interpretation of al-Dhahabī's perspective. This research found: first, BNK's pension as the work of Ahmad Mutamakkin is very likely to be correct, because referring to Bizawie, the manuscript were written in 1705 AD, during Ahmad Mutamakkin life (1645-1740). Second, the interpretation of the al-Fatihah in the BNK is not like the interpretation of the al-Fatihah verse in general which tends to interpret the al-Fatihah in the context of reverting position (pelungguhan) each word of the al-Fatihah into the anatomy of the human body such as the crown, eye, breath, chest, heart, tongue, skin and other body parts to show the oneness (unity) of being between the servant and his god, which is classified as a ṣūfī naẓarī interpretation and appropriates the doctrine of waḥdah al-wujūd which was widely developed in the archipelago at that time. The lackness of fiqh studies with the study of tafsir Aḥkam is suggested as the factor that has resulted in efforts to verify the law through the main source the Islamic religion (al-Qur'an) becoming not very popular and still tightly closed. Abil Fadhal through his interpretation of Tafsīr Ayāt al-Aḥkām min Al-Qur'an al-Karīm then appeared and tried to break the tradition. As an Indonesian interpreter who was born in the contemporary era, he did not adhere to the model of tafsir that developed in Indonesia. Abil Fadhal chose to obey the principles of previous scholars who were considered more original, by making his interpretation of the asbāb al-nuzul history and hadiths ahkām and quoting the opinions of previous scholars. By using the living Qur'an approach, the focus of this study is the depiction of the form of Soko Medalem community's reception of Al-Qur'an which is transformed into their daily life and a tradition that has been deeply rooted as their cultural basis. To answer this research problem, the author uses the theory of sacred symbols and the cultural interpretation of Clifford Geertz which explains a cultural system as a sacred symbol which then influences the social relations of society it self. The result of this study reveals that the Qur'an is perceived as part of the culture and life of the people of Soko Medalem. Al-Qur'an is considered as part of cultural rites, so its sacredness ledit to be part of culture which is also full of sacred meanings. The practice of al-Qur'an in the Manganan ritual is khataman al-Qur'an which is the core of the tradition. This discourse is not only ideological, but also political and has a background of power. This problem caused a debate which had led to bloodshed in the case of Khalid bin Abdullah al-Qisry, al-Ja'd bin Dirham and also the caliphate of al-Makmun. The thought of khalq al-Qur`ān was allegedly derived from Muktazilah. Therefore this article examines the process of takwil of the Muktazilah school regarding khalq al-Qur`an. With a qualitative approach this article concludes that Muktazilah argues that the Qur’an which is the word of Allah is a creature and hādīth (new). According to them, kalam is a certain editor that arises from the arrangement of letters which can be both understood and heard. On the other hand Muktazilah also argues that the word of Allah is not azalī (the age before everything existed).
