The fertility rate refers to the average number of live births that a woman or a population in a specific area and time period can produce. The Total Fertility Rate (TFR) in Badung is relatively low compared to other regions, standing at 1,93. This may influence slower population growth. However, it's important to note that low TFR is not the sole factor affecting population growth. Other factors such as migration, mortality, birth rates, and population mobility can also impact population growth. This research aims to analyze the factors influencing fertility rates in the North Kuta District of Badung Regency. The variables considered in this study include education, family income, age at first marriage, and contraceptive use concerning fertility rates in the North Kuta District of Badung Regency, both simultaneously and partially. The data for this study are entirely based on primary and secondary sources. The research was conducted in the North Kuta District of Badung Regency, with a sample size of 100 couples of childbearing age, using purposive sampling. The analytical technique employed in this research is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The findings indicate that education has a negative and non-significant influence on fertility, while income, age at first marriage, and contraceptive use have a positive and significant impact on fertility. This research is expected to contribute significantly to improving women's reproductive health in controlling birth rates and enhancing family well-being.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"4 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140239482","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aims to describe the relationship of elements in building an inclusive and fair community in Sinau Bareng with Emha Ainun Nadjib. This qualitative research uses a descriptive approach. Researchers used three data mining techniques: comprehensive interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. This research study shows that the elements in Sinau Bareng are advocacy of social responsibility, ethical foundations, critical-creative thinking, transcendental leadership, and inclusive and equitable community development. Those elements make up an inclusive and equitable community. Social responsibility advocacy produces positive and sustainable change by considering the needs of individuals or groups. The ethical foundation guarantees that organizations act pretty, honestly, responsibly, and transparently. Critical, creative thinking is essential in promoting social responsibility, inclusive and equitable community development, and the practice of transcendental leadership. Transcendental leadership emphasizes the importance of transcendent leaders' inspiration, direction, and guidance in taking individuals and organizations to greater heights. Inclusive and equitable community-building accepts and supports diversity, respects individual needs and aspirations, and ensures fair treatment for all members.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"106 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140238035","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This fragmentation is particularly examined through the lens of Holocaust survivors in Maus, showcasing how extreme experiences during and after the Second World War cause the self to fracture and even disintegrate. The article argues that storytelling and narration serve as a crucial tool for the trauma survivors to navigate and reconcile the fractured aspects of their self. Through storytelling, the protagonist finds a means of survival, by finding a language to articulate his otherwise inexpressible and ineffable experiences and memories. It highlights the fragmentation of the human psyche as a direct consequence of Holocaust trauma and similar traumatic experiences, examining how narrative acts as a medium for the protagonist to deal with his traumas. The novel offers insights into the complexities of the new post-war self, the enduring scars of trauma and the potential of narrative in coping with trauma, providing a deeper understanding of the fragmented self in the context of Holocaust trauma.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"57 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140238490","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

About sixty percent of the teachers were untrained and many of them were primary school drop-outs. The Government of the Republic of South Sudan addressed this problem in various ways including pre-service, in-service teacher training and accelerated learning programmes. This paper investigates the in-service and accelerated learning teacher training programmes. Data was collected from various NGO reports, interviews with persons directly involved in primary teacher training in South Sudan and secondary literature. The in-service and accelerated teacher training programmes generally resulted in raising the level of education and training of the serving but untrained teachers in South Sudan.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"31 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140243072","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When society ABSTRACT: The study investigates the human nature degradation in “Lord of the Flies”, by William Golding. When society constraints and parental supervision are removed, these fortunate situations become accessible. Golding attributes mans bad character to the Original Sin, which occurred when Adam disobeyed Gods instruction in the Garden of Eden. When the boys believe they are no longer under parental authority and the instructors are unchecked, they begin to break the regulations of the island, even murdering one other, and a return to savagery occurs. The study examines different methods of deconstructing dichotomies to re-imagine the connection between humans and the environment. Of course, the underlying antithesis is between civilization and nature. The topic of human natures degeneration was the most well-known aspect of the novel, as a result, the depiction of the external environment was often disregarded. It is the purpose of this article to examine the worsening connection between man and the atmosphere from the viewpoint of psychologists to show the eventual demise of humanity in the book. As a critical endeavor, psychological analysis requires a rethinking of the link between man and external environmental factors which affect his life. It is the study of how humans and the physical world interact.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"11 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140244652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This comprehensive analysis documents various aspects such as the employment status, challenges faced, and the practical application of skills among graduates in their current employment. By tracking the trajectories of alumni, tracer studies provide valuable insights into the real-world impact of the education provided by the institution. The Tracer Study tracked the SBA graduates of Pilgrim Christian College on what activities they followed after graduation and recognized the results of their achievements. The study used a descriptive method of research and used surveys to gather the primary data. Findings revealed that SBA graduates are predominantly females and in their early twenties; more were single, majority BSA graduates; and that they enrolled at PCC because of affordable tuition fees and the personal prestige attached to the name for better employment and career advancement. More of them were working at private institutions, the majority were serving full-time, more of them were working in business institutions, few were unemployed due to advancement for further studies, and more of them were permanent employees. The study concluded that a great number of them were employed immediately after graduation by application and not by political connections. Having provided very adequately the skills such as knowledge, communication, human relations, leadership, research, problem solving, and other competencies specific to the area of specialization were major factors on top of the area of specialization and reputation of SBA considered for immediate job acquisition.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"31 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140250992","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
