Unfortunately, efforts to improve these two skills have so far been partial. In fact, when studied together, the results can be more effective and efficient because the characteristics of millennial/gen z students are very technologically literate, critical, and authentic in working and learning in teams. In this paper, we specifically discuss the needs analysis for developing an English learning model using the convenience sampling technique, with a mixed-method approach. In consequence, the analysis is vital to improve academic writing and digital collaboration skills. The results of the analysis show that curriculum improvements are very significant and feasible, especially in implementing the English learning model to improve academic writing skills and digital collaboration.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"32 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140248240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, many companies require better management of their assets but the misuse of company resources is a serious issue that many firm employees see as “no big deal.” However, the principle remains the same that firm resource is a lasting resource and it is for the use of firm and nothing else. This study examined the misuse of firm resources in government and non-government sectors in Cagayan de Oro City. The objectives were: determining the commonly misuse firm resources, awareness and involvement of employees in misusing the resources, and management report on misusing the resources. This study used descriptive research design with the aid of survey questionnaire in gathering the primary data supported by interview. In awareness and involvement of employees on the commonly misused resources, first in the rank was aware but involved with 30% followed by aware and not involved with 25% of the employee respondents. In the category of reporting of employees of the misused resources to the management, the employee witnesses but does not report with 40% followed by witnesses and does the report to the management with 30%. Interview revealed that misused of resources happened due to lack of proper orientation on mission and goals of the firm, over supply of resources, and absence of guidelines. The researchers concluded that intentional insider misuse of institution resources represents a significant threat to the organizations and whether government or non-government institutions, the presence of misuse of resources committed by the employees based on the results of this study still exists. Recommendations are: there should be a proper inventory system, policies and guidelines in using the resources, and close monitoring of firm resources.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"52 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140251136","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In examining the complex dynamics of agricultural cooperatives in Northern Mindanao, this analysis investigates the multifaceted factors that affect their business sustainability, shedding light on crucial determinants driving the region's agricultural cooperative landscape. The study used a descriptive correlational research design and used survey in gathering primary data. Findings revealed that the majority of the cooperatives have been operating for 21 years and above, more have members from 15 to 150, the majority have 1 to 9 employees, and the majority are micro-cooperatives. The results indicating an average mean distribution of management of cooperatives described as strongly affecting business sustainability, shed light on the critical role of effective management practices in ensuring the long-term viability of agricultural cooperatives. The study concluded that Management of Cooperatives is significantly correlated to Business Sustainability: People means are considered weak and positive relationships between the variables tested, and Profit means are described as strong. The Enterprise Characteristics are significantly correlated to Business Sustainability, People means are described as moderate and positive relationships between the variables tested, and Profit means are described as moderate. Implications: emphasize the need for cooperatives to strategically leverage their organizational characteristics to enhance business sustainability through targeted interventions in areas such as human resource management, innovation adoption, and value chain integration.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"13 10","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140248348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many of these incidents occur and are perpetrated by teenagers, with implications for violence and their psychological well-being. Hate speech on social media, particularly in the Indonesian context, presents a multifaceted challenge that requires a combination of technological solutions, legal frameworks, and community interventions to effectively combat its spread and impact. By utilizing insights from research on hate speech detection, empathy promotion, and regulatory frameworks, stakeholders can work towards creating a safer and more inclusive online environment in Indonesia. Strengthening digital literacy, as suggested in the references, is essential to empower individuals to identify and respond effectively to hate speech. Legal measures, as emphasized in the references, play an important role in combating hate speech, with the establishment of specialized units such as the Indonesian Virtual Police contributing to monitoring and handling hate speech incidents. Community engagement and educational programs, as discussed in the references, are crucial in promoting dialogue, tolerance, and understanding to foster a culture of mutual respect and empathy.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"5 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140254582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Teenagers' self-confidence can be bolstered by Instagram @menjadimanusia.id, as seen by the comments and conversations on the platform. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how Instagram @menjadimanusia.id, particularly its followers, contributes to the development of teenage self-confidence. Constructivist theory and phenomenological techniques are employed in this study, which takes a descriptive qualitative approach. The symbolic interaction theory is the theory that was applied in this study. The results of this research show that the informants appear more confident in their abilities so that they are much more able to think positively. In addition, they can adapt to the social environment and overcome all problems efficiently. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document study. This is evident from the way the informant experiences self, ideas, and social behaviours.
