The research was conducted in Denpasar City and Badung Regency in Bali Province, Indonesia. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling with 150 respondents. Survey methods are used for data collection in the field. The variables used in the research include: socio-economic characteristics of informal sector workers, survival strategy variables, and variable factors that influence the choice of survival strategy adopted. The data analysis method uses descriptive analysis and multivariate analysis using multinomial logistic regression analysis. It was found that most respondents used more than one strategy to survive and maintain the continuity of their business. The most important survival strategy chosen by respondents among the five strategy choices, the results obtained are: Relying on other family members (36.6 percent), taking loans from informal lenders (30.7 percent), followed by the strategy of apply for government social assistance programs (18.7 percent), job mobility strategies (10.0 percent), and only 4 percent chose negative coping strategies such as selling assets as the main strategy in an effort to survive and maintain the business in pandemic period. Respondent's answer to the first choice regarding the factors that influence the choice of the main survival strategy is due to the respondent's ownership of livelihood assets in the form of social capital (32.0 percent), financial capital 29.3 percent, 24.0 percent due to ownership of physical capital/physical asset ownership, 13.0 percent due to ownership of human capital (human resources that can be utilized/available, Human Resources Education), and only 1.3 percent due to natural capital and access to infrastructure. The livelihood strategies model for informal sector workers with multinomial logistic regression obtained from socio-economic characteristic variables, variable factors that influence the selection of survival strategies adopted with the main survival strategy variables produces a classification accuracy of 93.2 percent, indicating that the model formed accurately describe the data.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"22 23","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141925159","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using China as an example, this study explores the complex relationship between the degree of data progress and local economic welfare. This paper aims to reveal the role of data resources as a catalyst for economic growth by examining the relationship between data flow efficiency, data infrastructure quality, and economic growth measures. At the same time, the research project uses EViews software to conduct econometric analysis of economic indicators such as GDP growth rate, employment data and per capita GDP to verify the relationship between data development level and economic performance. The final study shows that there is a strong positive correlation between effective management and use of data resources and local economic success, and we find that this correlation is particularly strong in regions with better data infrastructure. These findings provide practical evidence for policymakers, such as businesses or governments, and underscore the need to implement data-focused economic development strategies. The article shows that in order to rapidly develop the digital economy to help improve the economic level, increase and attract talents, etc., it is necessary to establish a sound data infrastructure, as well as improve the efficiency and accuracy of data transmission. These findings provide important insights into how businesses use data resources to make strategic decisions.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"50 41","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141923785","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research focuses on how nurses navigate complex decisions involving autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, justice, and cultural and religious beliefs. Using a quantitative comparative design, data were collected from 250 nurse respondents through a researcher-made questionnaire. Results indicate that nurses frequently encounter ethical conflicts, particularly when legal and institutional policies clash with patient autonomy, and when family expectations conflict with patient wishes. The study underscores the need for ongoing ethics education and support for nurses to enhance ethical decision-making and patient care. It is recommended to implement specialized training programs, develop communication and mediation skills, advocate for supportive policies, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration to effectively address these ethical challenges.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"2 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141921685","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: The researchers utilized a quantitative research methodology with a descriptive and normative approach. They collected data via an online survey administered to 403 participants. The respondents' preparedness to fulfill filial obligations was assessed using a standardized scale measuring readiness for filial responsibility. Results: The results suggest that most Filipino adults are not fully prepared to meet their filial obligations towards their aging parents. While they exhibit moderate level of readiness to provide physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological support, the data indicates they are ill-equipped to assume the financial responsibilities associated with caring for their aging parents. The study also found that the adult child's physical distance from the aging parent significantly affects their capacity to provide physical support, with those living away from their parents exhibiting greater readiness to offer financial assistance compared to those who are co-residing with their parents. Additionally, individuals with independent sources of income demonstrated higher levels of preparedness to fulfill the financial responsibilities associated with their filial obligations. Conclusion: The intricate and multifaceted nature of the obligations which adult children have towards their aging parents underscores the need for a customized and personalized approach in supporting the older persons, rather than a universal expectation.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"50 47","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141923756","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Trust that is embedded in the minds of patients will be a factor that patients consider in choosing a hospital, high trust will provide benefits for the development of the hospital. This study aims to analyze the role of trust level on patient revisit intention. The research method uses quantitative causal research to see the relationship between one variable and another. Hypothesis proving uses a structural equation model that shows whether or not there is an effect of changes in the independent variable on changes in the dependent variable. The study used 155 sample respondents who were hospital patients during the period 2021 to 2023, who were taken by purposive sampling by setting criteria such as having undergone outpatient care. The research results show that in structure one, the level of trust is not influenced by the use of E Wom, but the level of trust is influenced by the value perceived by the patient. Sleian that e- wom also does not affect changes in patient revisit intentions. However, customer perceived value still has an influence on revisit intentions. The findings show that the level of trust does not mediate the relationship between e-wom and revisit intentions but the level of trust acts as a mediator of the relationship between customer perceived value and revisit intentions. This conclusion can be interpreted that E-wom is not a factor considered by patients to make a repeat visit to the destination hospital. Factors that are considered by patients to make a re-visit to the hospital if the hospital can provide the value expected by patients in visiting the hospital. The expected value is, time value such as the speed of service delivery, service value that meets patient expectations. monetary value that can be perceived is perceived according to the patient's sacrifice at the cost incurred. The value provided by the hospital will encourage high hospital trust which will ultimately increase repeat visit intentions.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"43 18","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141924250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The present study focuses on caregivers of chronically ill patients' burden on four levels of possible disruption: the economic burden, the impact on family life, sociability, health, and behavior, and the impact of perceived aggression by considering the demographic characteristics of the caregivers, but also the socio-demographic characteristics of the chronically ill family member(s) they are taking care of. We conducted a quantitative survey with a sample of 90 family members/caregivers and the corresponding 90 chronically ill patients under their care from all districts of the Republic of Cyprus. Participants completed the \"Family Burden Scale\" (FBS-23) (Madianos et al., 2004), a personal information form with demographic information, and a questionnaire regarding the demographics and the illness trajectory of the chronically mentally ill family member (age of disease onset, diagnosis, frequency of episodes). Our findings showed that most caregivers providing systematic care for a family member experienced high levels of disruption in their daily routine and sociability, perceived high levels of aggressive behaviors, felt moderately affected in their health and behavior, and carried a heavy economic burden. Older participants felt a significantly higher economic burden than younger caregivers, who perceived a significantly more significant negative impact on their health and behavior from taking care of a chronically ill family member.","PeriodicalId":502776,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Social Science and Human Research","volume":"20 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-05-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140971640","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
