Embodied-Cognitive Linguistics emphasizes the inter-mapping of language in use with the real world, cognitive subjects, and linguistic content. Then, he told the story of the family and social missions he had undertaken as a critical scholar/activist. Finally, he introduced the latest developments in critical educational studies, claiming that critical educational studies are now in a period of transition because many studies are quite fragmented. The solution to this problem is what he called the theory of “decentered unities.” He suggested that critical scholars should pay more attention to intersectionality. In the context of the digital age, translators are required to strengthen the practical interaction with the audience and give full play to their subjectivity. This study takes Chinese Doctors, the first Chinese film to record the COVID-19 epidemic, as the research object, and uses multimodal discourse analysis as the theoretical framework to analyze how translators can realize their subjectivity in audiovisual translation from four aspects: culture, context, content and expression. International communication is imperative, and translation is of indispensable importance. The Realization of the Historical Mission of Literature and Art in Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era (hereafter referred to as Historical Mission) belongs to academic political texts. This article is based on the excerpt from Chapter two “Adhere to people-centered orientation in creating art works” in this book. Academic political texts are inclined to embody formal words and intonation, well-knit logic, complex sentence structure, changeable sentence patterns, and many long sentences, which bring great challenges to the author. Chesterman’s Translation Norms can serve as a guide to solve specific translation problems, convey the intention of the author and improve the readability and accuracy of the translated text. This study conducted surveys through open-ended questionnaires and interviews, aiming to understand the current situation, identify problems, propose strategies, and explore a translation practice report writing mode that better suits applied undergraduate programs. The investigation focused on the purposes of the practice, the process of translation practice, and the process of writing the practice report. The results showed that students’ main motivation for engaging in translation practice was intrinsic, driven by interests and the desire to improve translation skills. During the translation process, students extensively used online resources for assistance. The greatest difficulty encountered in translation practice was translating complex and lengthy sentences, while the quality control of the translated texts heavily relied on supervision from mentors.
