There are many historical and cultural differences within Europe, as the Eastern countries cannot duplicate the West regarding cross-cultural management, and so they have to make their own tailor-made strategy. The countries that later joined the EU have their own unique position in business in accordance with the Muslim countries. One of the biggest multinational company in Central-East Europe is able to make an entrance into the overruled oil industry successfully. Content analyses of the company published documents, websites are summarized in this current paper in order to highlight the uniqueness of their CCM.","PeriodicalId":45202,"journal":{"name":"Journal of East European Management Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2020-09-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83944171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We analyse 91 papers in English, showing that most papers are country and/or case specific, with a large majority of papers associated with the international business discipline. The strongest contributions have been made to the general international business literature and the literature on corporate social responsibility, as well as culture studies. We identify several gaps and outline future research directions.","PeriodicalId":45202,"journal":{"name":"Journal of East European Management Studies","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2020-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74521856","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The moderating and mediating effects of the possession of finance for opening one’s own company item on the observed relations were examined. National culture has a positive influence on entrepreneurship in cases where young people want to overcome the unfavourable circumstances in society and engage in entrepreneurship in order to become independent. In the case of a poor financial situation a stable environment is what can encourage the launch of one's own business.","PeriodicalId":45202,"journal":{"name":"Journal of East European Management Studies","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2020-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78028682","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Extant research assumed that the development of firms follows a certain sequence of stages. Based on the life-cycle model, this study evaluates the speed and extent of changes in organisational characteristics and firm growth during the development of ICT SMEs in Hungary. Hypotheses are tested using multivariate statistical methods. Results show that stagnant firms are not significantly different from the ones undergoing incremental changes, but significant growth coincides with radical organisational changes. Our findings highlight that team-based decision making, complex organisational structures and sophisticated information systems coincide with firm growth.","PeriodicalId":45202,"journal":{"name":"Journal of East European Management Studies","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2020-03-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76811818","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Millennials are popularly associated with laziness, entitlement and narcissism, which can seemingly manifest in undesired attitudes to work. A qualitative research, based on semi-structured interviews with leaders in advertising agencies provided rich data to confront the perceived stereotypes from their perspective. Young individuals in advertising are predominantly well-informed and ambitious, benefiting from their technological savvy as digital natives. In this self-selected group their work informs the lifestyle, and success seems to be manifested through social media rather than the display of material goods. The study challenges simplified stereotypes and contributes to under-researched segments of Millennials in the advertising industry and CEE.","PeriodicalId":45202,"journal":{"name":"Journal of East European Management Studies","volume":"54 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80836492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was prepared based on a literature review and a study of relations between the high-performance systems (the main predictor) and employee performance (composed of their behaviours and performance) mediated by the fulfilment of psychological contract. The research showed that the high-performance HRM systems (consisting of content, process and climate) directly and indirectly influence employee performance through the mediating effect of the psychological contract setting out the obligations of employers and employees towards each other.","PeriodicalId":45202,"journal":{"name":"Journal of East European Management Studies","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87253092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By considering the historical development and contextual specifics of the country, we concentrate on the path dependence perspective. The results of our study not only confirm the expected relationship between the reported founding history before the fall of the Soviet Union and the disclosure of information about social benefits provided to employees, but also deliver evidence that company size is a relevant predictor of SRHRM reporting in Russia. Thus, this study confirms both the path-dependent nature of organisational practices in this country, as disclosed in company reports, and the importance of factors in line with those identified in developed industrialised countries.","PeriodicalId":45202,"journal":{"name":"Journal of East European Management Studies","volume":"74 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79333741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, how culture affects organizational performance under active leadership relations research has resulted in conceptual ambiguities, as well as contradictory empirical findings. We argue that organizational culture moderates the effectiveness of leadership on organizational performance. We used an ethical approach to generalize paternalistic leadership in moderating Turkish organizational culture. The results indicate that paternalistic leadership functions are divided into two dimensions: family relationships and non-work life involvement, and the overall effects of paternalistic leadership on non-financial performance are unconnected to organizational culture, namely cultural tightness-looseness (CTL).","PeriodicalId":45202,"journal":{"name":"Journal of East European Management Studies","volume":"20 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85965660","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"管理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
