El contraste entre ambas opciones se analiza desde la posicion que el argumento eventivo que habilita la lectura de resultado ocupa en la derivacion sintactica, partiendo de un modelo de descomposicion de la frase verbal (o “primera fase”) inspirado en Ramchand (2008). En los estados resultantes internos, el evento domina a una proyeccion estativa; en los estados resultantes derivados, en cambio, el evento es dominado por una proyeccion estativizadora externa. Se presentan las consecuencias de este patron en distintos dominios, entre ellos, la interpretacion semantica de ciertos modificadores, la disponibilidad de lecturas epistemicas orientadas al presente y la relacion de inclusion entre tiempo del evento y tiempo de referencia. EnglishThis work addresses two strategies that Spanish and other languages employ to codify the notion of ‘resultant state’: through a stative projection within the syntactic structure of the verb (internal resultant states: v.g. John disappeared for two years) and by means of the re sultative construction with estar + past participle (derived resultant state; v.g. John was disappeared for two years). The contrast between both options is analyzed with respect to the position that the event argument which licenses the result reading occupies in the syntactic derivation, taking as a starting point a fine-grained model of the verbal phrase (or ‘first phase’) inspired by Ramchand (2008). In internal resultant states, the event dominates a stative projection; whereas in derived resultant states, the event is dominated by a stativizer external projection. Empirical consequences of this pattern are introduced for different domains: the interpretation of certain modifiers, the availability of present-oriented epistemic readings and the inclusion relation between Event Time and Reference Time.","PeriodicalId":44966,"journal":{"name":"Onomazein","volume":"1 1","pages":"205-247"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71301619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"文学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Para ello, se han comparado los posesivos de seis hablantes de tres zonas del norte y de tres zonas del sur utilizando las grabaciones del corpus COSER. Los resultados muestran que los valores de duracion, amplitud y F0 en los posesivos de ambas zonas son similares, con lo que no se confirma empiricamente el caracter tonico descrito en la bibliografia. No obstante, en Asturias los posesivos muestran un realce de F0 vinculado a la periferia izquierda y condicionado por la estructura informativa del enunciado. Este hecho explicaria la descripcion tonica en la bibliografia: los posesivos en Asturias poseen un acento tonal o de frase en determinadas posiciones que contrasta con los de otras variedades. EnglishIn this paper we have analyzed the acoustic cues of Spanish stress (duration, amplitude, fundamental frequency) in the possessive mi in order to discover dialect differences between the North and the South of Peninsular Spanish. For this purpose, we have compared the possessives of three towns in the North and three in the South of Spain, using the recordings of the corpus COSER. Results empirically show that the values of duration, amplitude, and F0 in the possessives of both zones are similar, contradicting the literature on the topic. However, in Asturias the possessives have an accent linked to the left periphery and conditioned by the information structure of the sentence. This fact would explain the stressed values in the literature: the possessives in Asturias hold an accent (not stress) in specific positions different to other varieties.","PeriodicalId":44966,"journal":{"name":"Onomazein","volume":"1 1","pages":"35-57"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46274816","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"文学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

El primero es describir la estructura caracteristica de la construccion resultativa del ingles (KR), analizar una muestra representativa de sus subtipos y explicitar las condiciones sintactico-semanticas que la hacen posible. KR es una Macrosituacion que fusiona dos Situaciones —una Actividad y un Evento— en la secuencia de un ‘curso causal de Situaciones’ tal que el Evento es el Resultado de la Actividad. Alcanzar esta caracterizacion requiere subsumir Manera bajo Actividad, Resultado bajo Cambio y CAUSA bajo ‘curso causal de Situaciones’. El segundo objetivo es exponer los factores que habilitan la presencia de KR en ingles y que solo permiten una escueta presencia en espanol. KR es la Macrosituacion complementaria de la Situacion prototipica del ingles, Situacion que se opone a la del espanol ya que presenta una Actividad como verbo principal mientras la otra proyecta un Evento. KR no es complementaria en el sistema espanol. Ademas, KR instancia el estilo combinatorio ‘abierto’ caracteristico del ingles —y opuesto al ‘cerrado’ del espanol— tal que permite un conjunto abierto de relaciones semanticas entre dos predicados, mientras el espanol tiende a reducirlas idealmente a una. EnglishThis paper has two intertwined objectives that are consistent with the overall goal of using an interface grammar to describe different contrasts among languages. The first one is to describe the internal structure of the English resultative construction or KR, to characterize a representative sample of the KR subtypes and to render explicit the syntax-semantics interface conditions that make it possible. KR is a Macroevent that fuses two Events—an Activity and an Event proper—in the temporal sequence of a ‘causal course of Events’ so that this Event is the Result of the Activity. In order to reach this characterization, it is necessary to subsume Manner under Activity, Result under Change and CAUSE under ‘causal course of Events’. The second objective is to expose the features that license the presence of KR in English while permitting a scarce presence of it in Spanish. KR is the Macroevent that complements the prototypical English Event, which opposes to Spanish in so far as it projects an Activity as main verb while the Spanish Event projects an Event proper. Thus, KR is not a complementary structure for the Spanish Event. Furthermore, KR reflects the typical ‘open’ combinatory English style, which is quite different from the Spanish ‘close’ one. This means that English allows for an open set of semantic relations between two words under the same structure while Spanish prefers to reduce them to (likely) one.","PeriodicalId":44966,"journal":{"name":"Onomazein","volume":"1 1","pages":"259-286"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42002113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"文学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Entre dos etapas consecutivas existe por lo menos 2 anos de separacion entre las fechas de publicacion de las novelas. Para resolver el problema de deteccion de cambios en el estilo de escritura a traves del tiempo se propone utilizar un enfoque basado en aprendizaje automatico supervisado. Se crearon modelos de espacio vectorial a partir de las frecuencias de uso de n-gramas de distintos tipos y longitudes. Ademas, se utilizo el algoritmo de Analisis de Componentes Principales (Principal Component Analysis, PCA) como metodo de seleccion de n-gramas. (PACTE, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2011), nos hemos dado a la tarea de analizar como se manifiestan las subcompetencias que integran su modelo holistico en la formacion de los traductores. Con el fin de evaluar la SE adaptamos una rubrica de las guias de estudio establecidas por el Colegio de Bachilleres de Baja California (COBACH), de la Secretaria de Educacion Publica (SEP) a nivel medio superior en Mexico, por ser un conocimiento con el que todo universitario debe contar como requisito para ingresar a la Educacion Superior. La importancia del estudio radica en que puede dar pistas sobre la “base de conocimiento” real de los discentes, para, a partir de alli, contrastarla con los contenidos de los planes y programas de estudio, que quedan a veces en el rezago, pues lo que antes era autodidactismo, en la era de los “Millennials” y la tecnologia, se ve superado por el inmediatismo escolar. Los resultados que arrojo la medicion del llamado “conocimiento del mundo” en los estudiantes de traduccion indican que 1) es un conocimiento que se mantiene en su bagaje desde su adquisicion en el bachillerato; 2) su evolucion del tercero al septimo semestre abarca un rango de 72,91 a 80,09/100 en sus calificaciones, lo cual se puede interpretar como un avance de “regular” a “bueno”; y 3) esta evolucion se incrementa en la etapa terminal de la carrera, donde el alumno practica la traduccion especializada.
