Learning based on hybrid learning developed at SMP 2 Kudus. This research method in terms of research procedures, types of data and analysis, including research and development, which is only carried out until the fifth stage. The research flow design is research and collection, planning, development of the initial draft, initial field trials and limited revision of the results of product trials (main product revision). The subject of product trial was to 40 SMP 2 Kudus teachers. The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive analysis and quantitative verification analysis. The results showed that the N-Gain analysis of the hybrid learning governance model obtained an average NGain score for the control group of 61.23 or 65.60% which was categorized as quite effective after the development of the e_learning model with a Ngain score of at least 46.00 and a maximum value. 92.10. The conclusion is that the hybrid learning-based e_learning model is quite effective because it is easier to use and more useful. Reflective abstraction is a mechanism that builds novelty. Therefore, the study of reflective abstraction is dominant in the process of how reflective abstraction forms new knowledge or understanding. For example, Piaget, Mitchelmore, are some researchers who focus on the process of reflective abstraction in concept formation. The resulting mastery of the students' concepts played a lot in the problem-solving process. A good understanding of concepts, students will be able to reason, comprehend, operate, and connect the mathematics idea that will play a role in problem-solving. However, when students have to solve assignments or problems that are not routine, this problem-solving process also contributes to the development of understanding mathematical concepts. The problem-solving process will result in understanding a new concept if there is a reflective abrasion in it. This paper is the result of a literature review that will describe the role of reflective abstraction in problem-solving so that students can get new concepts.","PeriodicalId":448829,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Science, Education and Technology (ISET 2020)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114586291","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Globalization has intensified the demands for communicative engineers having soft skills such as effective communication, cooperation, teamwork, project management, lifelong learning that become the requirements of industries and professional organizations. This descriptive-evaluative research aims at describing the procedure of teaching 21 st century skills to Engineering students through Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and evaluating PjBL from student’s voice. The research subjects involved 37 Civil Engineering students of a private engineering institute in Surabaya city. They were instructed to develop English online magazine as their group-projects. Guided using socio semiotic approach, the students eventually could publish three online magazines containing Civil engineering news at the end of semester. The results also revealed that the students learned and experienced a lot about 12 skills of 21 st century skills. Moreover, through PjBL, their English language skills developed well specifically in reading, speaking, and writing ones when addressing issues related to Civil Engineering.","PeriodicalId":448829,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Science, Education and Technology (ISET 2020)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125127784","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
