In the course of dialogues designed to act on the quality of work, this kind of experience, when solicited by the intervention device, can support the development of thought and affects leading to an organizational transformation that allows to change work in time and space. After analyzing the implementation of a “click-experience” in the activity of the head of an operational department, the methods used in work clinics to obtain an organizational development are discussed. These call for greater attention to the dialectical unity of human activities. Many of these transformations accentuate the porosity of fields of activity, and the multiplication of bifurcations, ruptures and uncertainties in professional trajectories. The gendered perspective sheds light on the indissociability of spheres of activity (productive and reproductive). Similarly, the crumbling of the wage society blurs many of our categories of thought and analysis of work, the relationship to work and the construction of health. However, it seems that there is no measurement scale to assess it in a French-speaking context. The purpose of this study is to adapt in a French speaking context and examinate the psychometric qualities of the “The Spiritual Intelligence Self Report Inventory” scale. An exploratory factor analysis was carried out on data collected, based on an online form, completed by 309 French participants such as a confirmatory factor analysis based on a sample of 421 participants. The results revealed: (Study 1) a four-factor solution: “conscious state expansion”, “critical existential thinking”, “personal meaning production” and “transcendental awareness”; (Study 2 and 3) such as satisfactory psychometric qualities. The discussion highlights the reasons why the French version of the spiritual intelligence scale is valid in terms of validity (structural, predictive, convergent and stability over time) and some of the limitations of this study. It also opens up new perspectives concerning workers and companies.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":43191,"journal":{"name":"Psychologie du Travail et des Organisations","volume":"31 2","pages":"Pages 107-125"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2025-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144137728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study further considers employee self-esteem as a factor that can affect the work outcomes of interest and moderate the effects of laissez-faire leadership. Based on data collected from a sample of employees and their supervisors working in the service sector in the Quebec province (<em>n</em> <!-->=<!--> <!-->216), we observed that laissez-faire leadership was negatively associated with the quality of employee-supervisor relationships but was unrelated to normative commitment and employee voice behavior. Employee self-esteem was positively associated with the quality of employee–supervisor relationships and voice behavior. Moreover, employee self-esteem acted as a moderator of the effects of laissez-faire leadership such that laissez-faire leadership was negatively and significantly related to the quality of employee-supervisor relationships, normative commitment, and voice behavior, only when employee self-esteem was high. When employee self-esteem was low, the effects of laissez-faire leadership on the quality of employee–supervisor relationships and normative commitment were non-significant. However, interestingly, the effect of laissez-faire leadership on employee voice behavior was significant and positive. These results have important implications for the understanding of the effects of laissez-faire leadership in work organizations, on which we elaborate in the discussion.</div></div>","PeriodicalId":43191,"journal":{"name":"Psychologie du Travail et des Organisations","volume":"31 2","pages":"Pages 73-91"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2025-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"144137726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
