The total dose absorbed by every patient during a medical investigation is generally provided by modern medical equipment and it is usually recorded but it is not cumulated or even expressed using the same units. A pilot Romanian project tries to accomplish one of these tasks. In order to estimate the effective dose, the International System of Units uses the Sievert (Sv) as a derived unit, but the new system implements it as a central unit. The system uses computers, special design software, smart cards and its security is based on Public Key Infrastructure. Data flows and the real implementation methods are also described in this article.","PeriodicalId":415830,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 3rd Workshop on Advances in Information, Electronic and Electrical Engineering (AIEEE)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116077324","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For the first paper a simple passive balancing method is used while for the second an active shared transformer balancing method will be used. The paper first discusses the existing works on the subject of cell balancing efficiency. Further the results of experimental testing of cell capacity are provided. A previously designed modular passive balancing system is briefly introduced as it is used for the battery efficiency evaluation. Testing results reveal the battery pack efficiency with balancing as the difference between the energy that is required to charge the pack and the energy that can be obtained when the battery the battery is discharged. While the first efficiency test uses a laboratory power supply to charge the battery pack, the second efficiency test uses a prototype charger circuit. The same charger circuit with different secondary side is to be used for the second article. The prototype charger is required so that the efficiencies of both passive and active balancing methods can be reliably compared.","PeriodicalId":415830,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 3rd Workshop on Advances in Information, Electronic and Electrical Engineering (AIEEE)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124164489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We address this issue by conducting a research of low power (under 10 Watt) and small sized (slightly larger than a credit card) embedded platforms with high performance computing capabilities. Sobel filter algorithm used in image processing will be benchmarked using different embedded platforms and frameworks of parallel computing to evaluate energy consumption and image processing performance, thus easing the design selections for a software engineer. The research results show, that Radxa Rock2 platform using Mali T764 GPU appeared to be 6.85x more energy efficient and 3.7x times better performing than Parallella platform using 16 core Epiphany co-processor when computing Sobel filter on 1080p resolution image.","PeriodicalId":415830,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 3rd Workshop on Advances in Information, Electronic and Electrical Engineering (AIEEE)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127145605","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We are still considering the constructions of medium voltage switch gears (MVSWGR's) in the conventional way although the vacuum theory has proved. Digital relays with their automation are offering good facilities for sending on the power of medium voltage distribution systems. But, it is still needed for these innovations to be more qualified. This research paper deals with the involvement of a binary function for receiving 11KV either from the extra high voltage National Grid distribution network of 220 kV which is called the modified IEEE 21 bus-test-case or sending the floating power generation from the refinery to the grid which is called the modified IEEE 23 bus-test-case and is based on the MATLAB/MATPOWER testing system [2], [3]. Moreover the designing of circuit breaker shall be further tested using existing parameters of the MATLAB switching system. This paper explains many recommendations and conclusions.","PeriodicalId":415830,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 3rd Workshop on Advances in Information, Electronic and Electrical Engineering (AIEEE)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132474963","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the parameters of this type of semiconductors is superior to the classic Si and SiC elements the use of classic topologies like boost converter got the opportunity to set higher frequencies, better efficiency and therefore better power density. Better efficiency gives an advance in pay-off time as there is smaller amount of energy gets lost during conversion without introduction of “soft switching” techniques. The paper describes a design of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) converter power part prototype: modelling and experimental results. Voltage, current curves and efficiency of real prototype are compared to the results of simulations. The paper contains experimental results on prototype of boost MPPT converter. The efficiency vs. converted power curves is provided by power analyzer and compared to the theoretical ones estimated by modelling.","PeriodicalId":415830,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 3rd Workshop on Advances in Information, Electronic and Electrical Engineering (AIEEE)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120965616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The changes are systematically managed following the engineering change management (ECM) process. The main issue in the ECM process is that the IS changes and their impact frequently are not evaluated with respect to the overall enterprise architecture (EA) and its evolution strategy. This paper proposes an outline of an approach for evaluation the changes with respect to EA development goals. The proposed approach links aspects of operational change management and strategic EA management. The evaluation process is triggered by IS change requests, which are mapped to the current EA, multiple change request implementation scenarios are identified by analyzing relationships in the EA, and alignment of each scenario with EA evolution strategy is accessed using appropriate measures. In this paper an initial illustration of the approach is provided.","PeriodicalId":415830,"journal":{"name":"2015 IEEE 3rd Workshop on Advances in Information, Electronic and Electrical Engineering (AIEEE)","volume":"72 5","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114034426","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
