Recently, by sharing the operating system resources and simplifying the deployment of applications, containers are getting a more and more popular alternative to virtualization for specific use cases. As a result, today these two technologies are competing to provide virtual instances for cloud computing, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), High Performance Computing (HPC), avionic and automotive platforms. In this paper, the performance of the most important open source hypervisor (KVM and Xen) and container (Docker) solutions are compared on the ARM architecture, which is rapidly emerging in the server world. The main aim of this investigation was to optimize the latency and DSP block usage for the normalized lattice-ladder neuron (LLN) and its simple gradient training algorithm implementation on FPGA. Four alternative regressor lattices to be used in LLN training were considered and experimentally evaluated. The optimal resource sharing was approached by the LLN data flow graph partitioning into DSP block subgraphs. The experiments were performed by varying the number of synapses and the order of lattice-ladder filters. Current work presents tests of LPKF ProConduct® technology on applicability for prototyping of power converter boards. This paper describes theory and experiment setup. The results show the specifics of the technology. Maximum safe current of vias, their thermal resistance and optimal diameter for high current boards are found. There can be measured any 3-terminal (3T) element or circuit. There measurements are performed automatically in two directions (forward and backward), thus the 3T element can be non-symmetrical. Following parameters are measured: voltage gain, phase shift, overshoots (positive and negative, on input and output) and time delay. The stand can be extended for measurement of a general 4-terminal (4T) element, if coupling transformer is used. In such case, long power lines can be evaluated e.g. in context of power-line communication (PLC) analysis. Due to its simplicity and easy integration in various applications its usage in recent years has grown exponentially [1]. The increasing amount of wireless devices and various applications such as WBAN (Wireless Body Area Networks), WISPs (Wireless internet service provides) have increased the interference in unlicensed band, which reduced the total system capacity. Recently the highly acclaimed version of IEEE 802.11ac with additional modulation capabilities was released. However, the basic idea and Media Access Control (MAC) layer methods were left the same. Therefore, there is a need for more efficient MAC layer protocol for usage both for currently existing IEEE 802.11n and for new IEEE 802.11ac standards. In this paper, we will do a case study Hybrid Carrier Sense Multiple Access Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) and Polling Mechanism in currently existing IEEE 802.11n MAC layer implementation possibilities. Since the main problem usually occurs on software implementation, by using already available Wi-Fi hardware in paper, we will consider various methods to bypass the limitations of already existing CSMA/CA protocol. Also, we will review the arising problems and currently available implementations of IEEE 802.11 improvements. Still, there is no consensus on optimal feature set and classification scheme for this task. Sequential forward selection (SFS) technique for multistage emotion classification scheme is proposed in this paper. Feature sets were formed from initial collection of 6552 speech emotion features. Experimental study was performed using Berlin emotional speech and Lithuanian spoken language emotions databases. The proposed multistage classification scheme was compared with single stage scheme. Multistage scheme determined higher order of feature sets and demonstrated higher classification accuracy than single stage scheme by 0.5-4.3 %. This problem has been relevant for many years; however, there is no proposed solution, which ensures the dynamicity. This paper presents analysis of related work on dynamic business processes, i.e. the analysis of definitions of dynamic business process and different views on dynamicity modelling in business processes. The paper overviews problems and proposed approaches, which are found in the literature, related to the dynamic business processes. The analysis shows that there is no common definition of a dynamic business process. Therefore, formulated problems and proposed approaches for implementing dynamic business processes differ in the analyzed papers. According to the analysis we propose a set of formalized requirements of dynamic business processes and our understanding of a dynamic business process. The analyzed approaches are incapable to implement the dynamicity of the business processes, since they do not meet all of our identified requirements.
