Tolstoy “Hadji Murad”. It is comprehended how the figure of Hadji Murad, with minor external adjustments made to the appearance and attitude of the protagonist in comparison with the prototype, turned out to be included in the philosophy of the writer’s life. It is shown that while working on the story, Tolstoy develops a special understanding of time associated with the development of a person’s ability to remember as a process that promotes spiritual unity. To understand the deep meanings of the work, it is necessary to correlate the story of Hadji Murad himself and his memoirs with the fact that the whole story, apart from the Prologue and the last sentence, is the author’s own recollection, supplemented by his imagination. The story of Hadji Murad is constructed according to the same type as all other scenes and episodes in aggregate: on the internal conjugation of exact dates, facts and events with poetic descriptions. The article reflects on the meaning of parallel time in the first eight chapters of the story, the problem of the writer’s choice of the beginning of the work following the poetic prologue.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"53 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76286747","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Attention is paid to the analysis of folk geographical terms, especially agroonymic terms that form the toponymy of two ethnoregions of Dagestan. The analysis of the presented materials of the Avar and Dargin languages shows that the vocabulary associated with agriculture is well preserved in microtoponymy. The novelty of the study is seen in the fact that a large number of words related to ancient farming systems indicates the long preservation of archaic methods of land cultivation in the territory of the Avars and Dargins, which in turn led to the preservation of many farming terms and their consolidation in microtoponymy. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that the field material collected by the authors in the mountainous areas of Accident and Darga is introduced into scientific circulation, and a classification of nine semantic subgroups of agroonymic terms is proposed. It is also important to analyze the material in the aspect of comparing farming terms in different dialects. The article describes the experience of the authors' long-term work in the study of Avar and Dargin microtoponyms.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"31 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83131273","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Speech and socio-cultural sources of this combination are determined, its one-word derivatives are analyzed — “rukoprikladstvo”, “rukoprilozheniye”, “rukoprikladyvaniye” (“handwriting”). It is pointed out that the active spread of kantselyarizm “to make a hand” coincides with the active development in the 15–16th centuries of Russian “everyday law”, a close connection between the official speech of the pre-Petrine time and the spoken language. There is a gradual departure of this kantselyarizm from the official sphere, the development of figurative meanings in the texts of fiction, the source of which can be the lexico-semantic variants of the polysemantic words that make up this expression (“attach”; “hand”). The cases of playful use of the combination “ruku prilozhit” are considered, motivated by generating phrases that are not native for this expression, as a result of which new meanings are formed (‘shake hands’, ‘kiss hands’). The evolution of the functioning of the business combination “ruku prilozhit’” is closely connected with the development of the official sphere as a whole, with the development of the document as a special text reflecting the “ideology” of public administration. On the example of the history of one bureaucracy, the influence of the written language of power on the logic and principles of the development of the Russian official language is demonstrated, which intensifies with each subsequent century.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"9 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87398164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The result of the research is the distinction between the local onomasticon as a linear list of words, separated from spatial and temporal contexts, and the onomastic suite formation. Transdisciplinarity as a methodological principle of research is represented in the actualization of the cenological approach. The concept onomastic suite formation was coined to linguistically explain the excessive derived groupings of different-frequency onyms related to the parent onym and sharing the common cultural-historical context. The onomastic suite formation is interpreted as a dynamic subsystem of semiocoenosis, the elements of which are formally heterogeneous, loosely coupled from the linguistic point of view, but they share spatial and temporal parameters forming homogeneous social-historical contents associated with psycholinguistic, sociolinguistic and linguoculturological factors. The results are based on the analysis of a sample of 4000 onomastic units, which was generated and interpreted in an “all-humanities key” using an integrated methodology (including contextual analysis, method of vocabulary definitions, interviewing, modeling, introspection).","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"52 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78307148","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The artistic significance of neologisms is considered in terms of the realization in the novel of such a conceptual metatrope as the principle of “death of concepts”. The paper also focuses on describing the fundamentals of classification of Coupland’s neologisms into lexico-semantic groups and word-formation types. The features of lexical, semantic and phraseological neologisms presented in the novel “Generation X: Tales for an accelerated culture” are described. The creative potential of literary neologisms is studied from the perspective of the reader relying on conceptual blending in meaning construction. It is shown that the thematic development of Douglas Copeland’s novel is determined by the use of complex semantic units consisting of neologisms and their author’s definitions. The reader’s construction of meaning of such semantic units requires, among other things, reliance on the intra-word (word-forming) context, on the macro-context of the novel, and on inferential knowledge drawn from a wider background context. Subjectivity in the reception of neologisms is determined by the development of personal meanings in the process of reading a literary text.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"41 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82358656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author reviews the sources which the playwright relied on when writing his play, and the need to strictly follow their letter and spirit, which put the writer in an extremely tough political framework. The article argues that the play axis is the contrast between the images of Stalin and Nicholas II. In the meantime, the last Russian Tsar is depicted in a caricature way not corresponding to historical truth. The author of the article notes that in the image of the last Russian Tsar the playwright followed the Soviet dramaturgy tradition. It is also emphasized that a negative, caricatured depicting of Nicholas II image inevitably entailed a blasphemous attitude towards the great Russian St. Seraphim of Sarov referred to in the play. The work shows that the image of Stalin contains unambigious hints on paraphrase of gospel plots which is essentially sacriledge. The play “Batum” is considered in the article as a quite predictable failure in literature legacy of M.A. Bulgakov.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"222 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76616486","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Tolstoy had a bright talent for comic transformation of cultural, literary and everyday phenomena. In this aspect, the “medical” topic is presented in his letters to N.V. Adlerberg. He widely and effectively used grotesque, absurd and pun techniques in the development of this topic. As his illnesses multiplied and worsened, Tolstoy found new ways to mitigate his suffering with laughter in literature and in life. In 1863, asthma attacks began, which did not stop until death. However, he finds the strength to endure the disease with humor and in letters portrays himself in such severe conditions in a comic way. He is forced to increasingly resort to painkillers, including morphine, but does not attach serious importance to his dependence on it. With a sharp but good-natured humor, he draws the figure of his attending physician A.I. Krivsky in “Medical Poems”. The English-Russian and German-Russian dictionaries of religious vocabulary considered in the proposed review, compiled in the period from the 1990s to 2021, reflect the author’s solutions to the problems of intercultural communication and adequate translation of relevant meanings. In the peer-reviewed dictionaries, one can observe both various approaches of the excerption of religious vocabulary (special vocabulary of the main world religions, Christian liturgical, biblical, theological, heortological vocabulary, vocabulary of scientific and theological discourses), and different ways of terminography and translation interpretation. The analysis of peer-reviewed publications is methodologically focused on the critical coverage of the following points: the design of the vocabulary, the criteria for the inclusion of nomenclature names (biblical names, toponyms, etc.), the propriety and degree of prevalence of contextual exemplification of the term. There is an obviously positive trend in the development of German-Russian dictionaries, while the state of development of English-Russian dictionaries of religious vocabulary is somewhat inferior to the former in a number of parameters.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"47 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81490104","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
