In some fables, borrowings stand out, in others they are not so obvious or they simply do not exist. But there are cases that are not fully established. The latter include the fable of I.I. Dmitriev “The Fly”. In this article, for the first time, the real prototype of this fable is determined and its author is established with a high degree of probability. At the same time, the issue of the origin of Dmitriev’s catchphrase “we plowed”, which has repeatedly attracted the attention of writers and researchers, has also been resolved.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"107 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80775510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article attempts to conduct a parallel analysis of these works of the writer, focuses on the features of the image of the historical era and the image of Ivan III. It is noted that Lazhechnikov presents the concept of history not only in historical novels of the 1830s, but in dramatic works of the late period. The features of the writer’s historicism are connected with the close proximity to the views of Karamzin, however, throughout his creative career, Lazhechnikov develops his concept of “poetry of history”, the writer’s historicism deepens. Lazhechnikov comes to understand the past as the prehistory of his time, seeks to create characters motivated by the era, which he especially succeeded in depicting the personality of Ivan III.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"54 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82741330","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The diversity of intertextual connections in the deployment of the “medical text” over the decades, its new emphases brought by the reality of the 2020s, and its deep connection with the intellectual discourse of different eras: theories of positivism, cosmology, psychoanalysis, etc., are emphasized. “Medical text” includes a rich typology of doctors and patients in writers-doctors, but is not limited to it: the focus of the researchers also includes images of doctors and patients created by writers who were not doctors, artistic embodiment of epidemics, psychopathological aspect and psychoanalytic approaches to the problem, “pharmacy” topos, medical prescription as microtext of the artwork. In the development of the “medical text” is marked by a certain continuity and consistency, which so far has not been the subject of special consideration. A logical continuation of the “medical text” becomes the “covid text” of contemporary Russian literature to the extent that the COVID itself becomes a literary symptom. All this opens up space for new investigations and interpretations.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87802647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article reveals the pretext of A.P. Chekhov’s story “Ionych”. The essay of the same name by F.D. Nefyodov was published in the “Severny Vestnik” magazine in the same year as the stories “Lights” and “Steppe”, which could have caused Chekhov’s attention to the work of the populist writer. Chekhov collaborated with the magazine and closely followed the materials published in it. He did not recognize Nefyodov as a major writer, however, he obviously remembered his ethnographic essay dedicated to the Russian Old Believers. Ten years later, Chekhov turns to someone else’s work and uses it as one of the important pretexts for his story “Ionych”. The stories of the same name by two authors are interconnected by elements of a certain similarity. Chekhov uses part of someone else’s material to realize his task — to reveal the evolution of the protagonist. Intertextual echoes of Chekhov’s story with Nefyodov’s essay help to create, as it were, a backstory for Dr. Startsev. In addition to Nefyodov’s essay, the intertext in Chekhov’s story is given by references to the works of other authors. Autointertext plays an important role in the story. Chekhov’s reliance on various pretexts is due to the stylistic nature of his work. Chekhov’s rethinking of the material of his predecessors in “Ionych” is due to the renewal of the solution to the problem of personality, which was relevant for the 90s of the 19th century.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"129 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77502406","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Structural and stylistic analysis of textual components in books by Diane Setterfield, Flann O’Brien, Elif Batuman shows the possibility of grading literary texts as more or less fictional. The theoretical background is based on G. Genette and Tz. Todorov’s ideas on reading modes. The theoretical results of research are presented in the form of a chart that can be further used for gradual scaling of texts as fiction or nonfiction. The authors of the analyzed texts use a variety of stylistic devices that create the effect of verisimilitude in pseudo-documentary fiction or nonfictional texts. The texts are examined by means of componential analysis from the point of view of their compositional structure, paratextual additions and plot lines. The research results indicate that verisimilitude in fiction depends on the reading mode: as informative and verifiable or as supposed speech acts working in the aesthetic function of the language.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"155 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83433531","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the material of the pre-revolutionary issues of the Kharkov newspaper “Southern Edge” (1900–1905; 1914–1917), conclusions are drawn about the poetics of the “anniversary cycles” dedicated to honoring the memory of N.V. Gogol, V.A. Zhukovsky, N.A. Nekrasov, A.P. Chekhov and other Russian and foreign writers. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the attempt to discover patterns in the coverage of literary celebrations on the pages of the provincial press. The relevance of the paper is due to the fact that the study of the representation of general literary phenomena in the “Southern Edge” makes it possible to identify forms of communication between Russian literature and journalism at the beginning of the 20th century. Particular attention is paid to the genres and speech design of the anniversary cycles. The classification and plots of materials that are receptive in relation to the literary canon of the 19th century are presented. The key substantive aspects in the actualization of the works are highlighted: “Demon”, “Who is happy in Russia”, “The Government Inspector”, “Dead Souls” etc. The functional nature of the interpretation of the classics and coverage of anniversary celebrations is determined: enlightening readers, building links with the capital's periodicals, entry into the common cultural space of Russia and Europe, the formation of historical and literary memory.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78950572","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on emigre periodicals and archival materials, the life and career of G. Polonsky, the editor of this socio-political, literary, artistic and economic journal, is reconstructed. The characteristics of the publication are given: the place among other weeklies of the early 20th century is determined, the editorial program and the position taken on a number of acute social topics are considered. Despite the fact that the journal aspired to the status of a publication that stands above the well-known literary movements, the materials it publishes reveal a consistent view of humanistic values as common to Russian and Western cultures. Metatext links between the materials of the weekly are illustrated by the example of the column “In the depths of Russia”. The socio-psychological content and aesthetic originality of the essays that compiled the column allow us to explore them as one of the forms of interaction between Russian literature and journalism characteristic of the Silver Age. The range of assessments in the depiction of the province on the pages of “Our Days” turned out to be no less wide than the coverage of the phenomena and events of modern life undertaken by the magazine. The authors of the article demonstrate this by the scale of the literary and artistic agenda of the weekly, which, despite the transience of its existence (four March issues), managed to touch upon the topics of higher education, philosophy, literature, music, art, theater. As an appendix, a list of the contents of “Our Days” is given.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"383 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75523888","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bukhov, which revealed in the process of frontal viewing of the set of the newspaper “The Voice of Siberia”, published in Irkutsk in 1910–1913, which have not been presented and taken into account until now in publications or in bibliographic works. The writer’s cooperation with the newspaper “The Voice of Siberia” was short — a little more than three months — from December 25, 1911 to March 25, 1912. During this time 12 texts of Bukhov appeared on the pages of the newspaper, most of which were published in the rubric “Little feuilleton”. The writer’s texts are not reprints from the capital’s publications, of which Bukhov was a regular employee, but independent publications — documentary evidence of the author’s cooperation with a regional publication. It should be noted that in addition to the characteristic features of the author’s style and manner of narration, as well as the favorite typically writer’s techniques, they show an extensive genre, stylistic and thematic range. Working with regional publications of Russia at the beginning of the XX century, allows, firstly, to increase the corpus of the texts of the studied writer known to us and introduced into the reader’s and research circulation, and, secondly, to significantly supplement our understanding of his creative evolution.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"23 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81216782","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study showed the importance of the literary component of the repertoire of a provincial newspaper, the variety of forms of presence of literature, both modern and classical, on the newspaper page. Literature itself is represented in the repertoire by poems, prose miniatures, and stories, often printed with a continuation. Humorous and satirical texts, literary parodies occupy an important place in the newspaper. The main object of critical reflection and parody in 1913 became I. Severyanin and other ego-futurists. Besides, the Leaflet regularly publishes critical and biographical articles, reviews, obituaries, retellings of book market novelties, publications of previously unknown works and memoirs, memoirs, reports on events of literary life. The main heroes of the newspaper of 1912–1913 are Turgenev, Nadson, L. Tolstoy, Gorky (as a famous countryman), Balmont. The main informational occasion for the appearance of literary materials in the newspaper are anniversaries or the publication of interesting books or publications. A significant part of literary publications are reprints from publications in the capital. The newspaper also pays a certain amount of attention to foreign literature, first of all, modern literature; O. Wilde, A. Strindberg, H. Hauptmann, and A. Frans. Particular attention is paid to the prose miniature (poem in prose), a specific newspaper genre characteristic of early twentieth-century periodicals. The large number of articles on literary themes testifies to the general literary centrism of early twentieth-century Russian culture.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"2015 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87157690","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
