Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Taking into account all the principles of textual science of the XXI century, a new textual preparation of the texts of the two main novels by M.A. Sholokhov “And Quiet Flows the Don” and “The Soil Upturned”. The choice of the main source of the text was made on the basis of a frontal comparison of all existing manuscript and printed sources of the work and takes into account the last creative will of the author. This made it possible to correct errors and misprints, make reasoned corrections, restore censorship exceptions, the author's spelling and punctuation. An innovative approach has been taken regarding the choice of the main source of the text. Each of the books of novels is printed not from one source common to the entire novel, but from different ones. The textual preambles explain how, out of more than 4,000 discrepancies in the text of the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don”, 500 documented and substantiated amendments were made, and the Appendix to the novel contains 11 pages of text seized in 1933 for ideological and other reasons, with which I am not familiar modern reader. Two works-satellites of scientific publications of literary texts by M.A. Sholokhov: “Creative heritage of M.A. Sholokhov at the beginning of the XXI century” and “Soviet reader with a letter to you… Letters from readers M.A. Sholokhov. 1955–1984”, which show the current level of study of the writer’s work, textual criticism, investigative work in our country, as well as India, China and Europe and introduce archival materials, letters from readers, transcripts of speeches by M.A. Sholokhov.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"542 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77448827","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mekhtiev","doi":"10.20339/phs.3-23.051","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20339/phs.3-23.051","url":null,"abstract":"The article examines the polyphony of the word “delight” in the novel “The Brothers Karamazov”. It is proved that the author uses it actively and solves creative problems. The word “delight” has many meanings in the novel. This word forms semantic and associative fields. This word has its own special dramatic plot and composition. This fact proves that the author uses the word “delight”in the novel according to plan. Dostoevsky uses all the semantic possibilities of this word. These are the meanings that are recorded in the explanatory dictionaries of the Russian language. The author achieves that the word “delight” becomes dialogic. But at the same time, the word “delight” takes on new meanings in the novel. These new meanings were only possible in the context of the novel. They form the “image of the world” of the writer. The article describes and analyzes the various contexts of the word “delight”. This approach helps to highlight the specific functions of the word. The word “delight” has plot and compositional boundaries. This word is between “top” and “bottom”. The image of the elder Zosima in the novel performs the function of authority. In the context of the author and this character, the word “delight” has a high meaning. But this lofty meaning is under pressure from the marginal semantics of the word. Marginal semantics is gradually replacing those meanings of the word “delight” that were associated with the authority of the elder Zosima. At the end of the novel, the fate of the word “delight” is on the border with tragedy. This word loses its fullness and indicates only a partial manifestation of a feeling of delight. Such an ending of the plot of the word “delight” sums up the value of the world that the writer depicts.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"153 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75197375","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Here we consider the concept of inter-sentence valence, that is, the ability of sentences within the text to connect with each other. The semantic completeness of this or that sentence makes the connection of sentences more clear. Between sentences valence is conditioned by the presence of language tools that indicate logical connections between sentences. In the sentence, the word and word combinations that do not belong to the means of communication between sentences, such as elements that require the formation of valence, are interpreted. In the text, the inter-sentence valence of question sentences and meta-sentences is analyzed from a semantic functional point of view. Between sentences, the characteristic features of valence that distinguish it from valence formed at other language levels are determined. Inter-sentence valence has the sign of determining the realizable structural properties of the text. Left-sided and right-sided interjections are described as valence, depending on whether they are in the previous and next text. Close and distant sentences between valence, active and passive sentences between valence, necessary and optional sentences between valence is studied. Inter-sentence valence performs the function of the text from the text, providing the meaning and structural relations of the text.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"27 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74300193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Bokarev","doi":"10.20339/phs.3-23.114","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20339/phs.3-23.114","url":null,"abstract":"The article presents the tendency of contemporary poets to use lists and catalogues in their works in an attempt to “restore” figurative language of cumulation, which has an existentially mythological status rather than a conditionally poetic one. Historical poetics define this language as a sequence of externally dissimilar yet semantically identical phenomena stemming from archaic consciousness. Subject of the present research is the worldview specifics of Lev Rubinstein’s conceptual “Poems on Library Index Cards”, particularly, a complex of motives represented by cumulative structures. The research asserts that, in the “file cabinet” poetry, which embodies the concept of sequence with its very form, the only signified of the cumulative chain is the text prioritizing the autometadescriptive principle. Focusing on the preconditions and consequences of poetic initiation, “mechanics” of a creative act and text origins of reality, the author comes to a conclusion that a human’s life functions only through “regular writing” and lasts as long as the “file cabinet” grows. As the events are played out (the majority of works has some kind of discrete though rather defined storyline), the inevitability of death becomes more and more apparent, however, the “return” (perceived as “resurrection” in another’s consciousness) is predetermined by the possibility to reread the text as many times as one can. Thus, the way the non-classical poetry (including Rubinstein’s works) is rooted in mythological semantics not only does not exclude it focusing on the modern problems but also serves as a tool of their artistic objectification.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"31 6 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78042746","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It develops such notions as the life as a text, the text as a destiny, the biography as an art and creative life, decodes signs in the scholar’s semiosphere. The authors quote the examples where painters and writers have literally created their artistic destinies: from the construction of life by the Symbolists, the life strategies of Proletkult (Proletarian) artists and the Futurists to Dmitry A. Prigov’s cultural project that is named after him. The authors contend that Yu. Lotman’s life path has been predestined by the birthplace, i. e., the house on Nevsky Prospect that belonged to Admiral Cornelius Cruys, a companion of Peter the Great, as well as by the studies at Petrischule. The main components of his scholarly destiny relate to Karamzin and Pushkin texts and, subsequently, Petersburg text reflecting his interest in the ideology of Peter the Great epoch and urban semiotics. The development of scholarly personality during his student years experienced the influence of the interwoven threads of the epoch’s communicative fabric — the political and social pathos of that time and St. Petersburg’s philology with the perceptions of the Russian Formalists about literature as a system. After World War II YurMikh has created his own behavioral text and biography, thereby, becoming a YurMyth. The interconnectivity, mutual determinedness and propensity for dialogue — a dialogue in general time with the contemporaries M.M. Bakhtin and A.F. Losev — are typical of his scholarly and private biography, personal life and creative activities, ideas and texts.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91046857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thoughts are expressed and argued that all these similarities did not arise suddenly, but have common roots. The era of the creation of the epic “Manas”, its volume and artistic and aesthetic qualities, most importantly, the key philosophy that calls kindred peoples to unity and harmony contain a strong integration value. Chekhov. The aim of the study is to analyze the adaptation of a literary work through non-verbal sign systems. In this regard, the following task is formed: how is the problem of equivalence reflected in the translation from the original language of a literary text into the language of screen images in the Canadian theatrical production and in the cinema of Sri Lanka. The investigation is based on Linda Hutcheon's adaptation theory, postulated that when literary text is transcoded in the process of adapting into any other form sich video game or a musical, this form of transformation is most likely to be seen as a secondary creation and certainly will not be as good as the original text. The question raises — can we give consideration to a theatrical or film adaptation as an individual creation in relation to the original text, despite its connection with it at different levels? Our conclusions are based on the fact, which a literary work in the secondary adaptation may not be inferior to the original and may even be better.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"156 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79865874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They are considered in the context of essential human characteristics. Their correlation is viewed as a common ground for language function modeling, that is language functions identification, nomenclature, hierarchy etc. In Modern science and philosophy religiosity in its broad sense (a system of ideals) is regarded as an intrinsic human characteristic. Taking this approach into account the author of the article substantiates the presence of the religious language function that is defined as an essential language property to represent varied religious reality and provide personality fundamental self-affirmation in eternity. The attempted is taken to compare the religious language function with cognitive, communicative, and interpretative ones. The etymology of the lexeme ‘function’ given, the author states that man is constituted (via cognition, communication and interpretation) and completed in language (via religion). It is shown that religious language function is in correlation with the teleological aspect of anthropocentrism.","PeriodicalId":40803,"journal":{"name":"Filologicheskie Nauki-Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly-Philological Sciences-Scientific Essays of Higher Education","volume":"79 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.2,"publicationDate":"2023-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90570606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
