Juynboll claims that the validity of his theory can replace conventional hadith study methods which he deems irrelevant to be used to research the authenticity of hadith. Various responses have come from other hadith scholars questioning the validity and performance of the theory in determining the authenticity of hadith. The common link itself is the oldest narrator term in the isnad file which is considered the most responsible for passing on hadith to more than one student. Azami as one of the scholars of hadith who strongly criticizes this theory says that Juynboll only has his imagination in developing thetheory common link. One who is considered as a prominent hadith figure in this modern age is al-Albani. In several of his books, al-Albani applies several methods that are considered by some to be new methods. One of Al-Albani's phenomenal books, Irwā al-Galīl fī Manār al-Sabīl, has become a reference for scholars who studies him. This study focuses on Al-Albani's method in determining status of rawi in the book Irwā al-Galīl fī Manār al-Sabīl. Using the qualitative method, within the framework of the design of the critique of Al-Albani's work. This study examines 2,707 hadiths contained in the book. This study finds that Al-Albani in the book often shows an inconsistent attitude in determining the status of a hadith rawi. The form of this inconsistency is found in the changing attitudes of Al-Albani in determining the status of several narrators, including Al-Sa'q bin Hazn, 'Aqil bin Mudrik, Mujja'ah bin Al-Zubair, Harun bin Antarah, 'Amr bin Malik, and 'Amr bin Abd Al-Rahman. In this study hadith is used as the subject; of course, hadith is the main text used as the basis for the study. An interesting problem in this study is that the authority of hadith as legality to explain the existence of Allah is rarely disclosed in a separate study. The reviewers and observers of theological studies generally depart from the the Qur’an, even if there is the use of hadith only to complement the study of the the Qur’an. Even though the authority of hadith (shahīh) as a second source after the Qur'an cannot be doubted anymore, moreover, for legality in theological issues that continue to develop among Muslims and non-Muslims, making hadith as a second source must be utilized. Therefore, this article is interesting because it examines the existence of Allah through the study of hadith. The goal is that ideas about theology, especially those related to the existence of Allah, can be read through hadith as a basis for rational thinking. This study analyzes hadith texts related to the theme. Because discussing hadith is closely related to issues of validity (shahihan) and understanding, this study uses the jarh wa al-ta'dil and fiqh al-hadīs approaches. jarh wa al-ta'dil is a method to measure the validity of hadith, while fiqh al-Hadis to find meanings about the existence of Allah. From the study conducted, it can be concluded that the Messenger of Allah said that Allah alone (monotheism) is not plural and existed before something that had no beginning and no end. There is not a single creature that preceded him, and Allah is eternal forever and ever. One of their aspiring projects was to doubt the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him through several divergences of its theoretical constructions. In responding to this case, the subject of hadith critique became an urgent tool to examine and maintain hadith authenticity. This library research analyzed descriptively several sources such as scientific articles, books, and research reports to answer the formulation of the problem. In this case, this article aims to identify the definition of hadith and its historical development, to disclose the brief orientalists' biographies discerned on inquiring the criticism of sanad through its theoretical framework. Finally, to respond to the hadits theoretical criticism by the orientalists. The findings in this paper were (1) Hadith criticism was regarded as a tool to distinguish the authenticity of hadith and determine the narrator's competency and disability; (2) Ignaz Goldziher conveyed his theoretical construction on the issue of hadith authenticity using a critical approach. While Goldziher introduced a projecting back theory to doubt the existence of hadith and transmission of sanad; (3), He ignored the tsiqah aspects of the narrators, history, reasoning, and comparisons with the Qur'an. What is more, Goldziher also made a deliberate change in matan. This paper examines the book by Ibn Khalād al Rāmahurmuzī, which contains amṡāl in hadith. This research used a descriptive-analytical method and employed a book analyses study approach in order to find out: (1) The characteristics, methods, and sources of the hadiths were used. (2) The author's method in explaining the hadiths of amṡāl. (3) The weaknesses and the strengths of the book. This research found that the themes of hadith collected in each chapter are based on the aspects of the theme content and the language style used, namely: at-tasybīh and al-kināyah. Second, this book's method of narrating the hadith is the simā' method. The hadith used comes from the hadith expert priests. Third, in explaining the meaning of amṡāl, the author quotes the opinion of 'ulama and Arabic poetry. Fourth, the book's strengths are the explanation from the author regarding the purpose of the amṡāl in hadith. According to Syuhudi Ismail, the validity of a hadith can be measured from several conditions, namely ittisal al-sanad, 'adl, dabit, avoiding syaz, and no' illah. whereas, in analyzing the validity of the mind there are four benchmarks, namely not contradicting the Koran, not contradicting a stronger hadith, not contradicting common sense and history, and its structure showing prophetic words. This research is a qualitative research using library research method. The primary data in this study are pole al-sittah and pole al-sab'ah. The data collection methods are takhrij and i'tibar al-hadith. Meanwhile, the analysis uses sanad analysis and hadith observations. The results of this study are from the three hadiths that have been examined, all the narrators that are in the line of the three hadiths are predicated of siqat with the quality of the hadith sahih al-sanad. His students are scattered in the word, including the archipelagi. However, Research on his character in the field of hadith has not been done. This Research will examine of Sheikh Jamil al-Husaini in the field of hadith by conducting a critical study of his work entitled al-Qamar al-Sa>ri> li I>d}ah} G{ari>b S{ah}i>h al-Bukha>ri. >This book will be studied critically to find out how Sheikh Jamil al-Husaini’s concept is in understanding the Gharib Hadiths. This research uses a qualitative method with a historically approach, this approach will describe comprehensively the intellectual journey and the background of the book in the field of hadith. This research can show that Sheikh Jamil al-Husaini uses the mujadalah method to explain the gharib hadiths in his book. He denied the understanding that was considered incorrect in understanding the Gharib words in the Hadith, especially understanding that is contrary to sunni understanding. Conceptually, Sheikh Jamil al-Husaini understands Gharib hadith based on three concepts, namely, 1) interpreting the argument of the Koran and Hadiths that are relevant to the word gharib. 2) conducting linguistic analysis 3) expressing the opinion of the salaf scholars from sunni and refuting arguments that contradict the meaning of hadith. Sheikh Jamil al-Husaini also gave his personal arguments in every explanation in his book. This book shows that Sheikh Jamil al-Husaini had expertise in the field of hadith. His Contribution to the study of Hadith has also reached the archipelago. Hadith consists of ṣahih and ḍa'īf. The s}ahīh is accepted in his hadith while the ḍa'if is rejected in his hadith. But not every hadith ḍa'īf is rejected. There are several criteria of hadith ḍa'īf that can be accepted, namely ḍa'īf which level of ḍa'īf is not to severe. The scholars have compiled the book of hadith from the category of s}ahīh until there is a ḍa'īf. The most ṣahih books are found in the books of ṣahih Al-Bukhārī and Muslim and the rest, like the sunan al-'Arba'ah where the hadiths in which ṣahih are also ḍa'īf. The purpose of this study is to know the position of Muḥammad bin 'Abdirraḥmān aṭ-Ṭufāwī in the view of the scholars of jarh wa ta'dīl and to know the position of the hadiths narrated by aṭ-Ṭufāwī in Ṣaḥīḥ Al-Bukhārī. The methodology used in this research is descriptive analysis, which consists of three stages of research, namely the stages of orientation, exploration and analysis. It does not matter if there is a hadith ḍa'īf out of those two books of ṣahih Al-Bukhārī and Muslim. However, it would be a question if there is an indication of the hadith ḍa'if written in those s}ahīh books. Whereas in the authenticity of the hadith in it has been tested, the scholars have acknowledged the authenticity of the hadith in the book. But here the author found the narrator which indicated as a ḍa'īf in the book ṣahih Al-Bukhārī, the narrator is Muḥammad bin 'Abd al-Raḥman al-Ṭufāwī. The evaluation of jarh against him is found in many ways, among them it is evaluated as tadlis, he likes to narrate munkar hadith and tasyayyu '. Thus, this study was conducted to find out fully and thoroughly how the scholars view him. The doubts of some Muslim scholars over the role of hadith as the second source of authority after the Qur'an, are not entirely related to their rejection of the accuracy of the methodology used in determining the originality of the hadith. If the authentication methodology used is problematic, then all the results achieved from the method are not sterile from the possibility of re-verification, historical criticism and even results can collapse. Doubts also come from the orientalists regarding the authenticity of the hadith. The epistemology of the orientalists with characteristics of skepticism or doubt in terms of testimony and tries to re-question what the hadith really is, is it true that the hadith is the oral speech of the prophet, the prophet's behavior or the perception of the Islamic community about the prophet, is the book of hadith that we inherit from the third century such as Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, is a reflection of the sunnah of the Prophet?
