Iako je riječ o ruralnome području s pojedinim urbanim elementima – jedan je od kaštela Pazinske knežije sa statusom gradića (Stätl) te župa Porečke biskupije – to mjesto baštini povijesnoumjetničke i glagoljične spomenike iznimne važnosti. U prvome su to redu hrvatskoglagoljični rukopisi Prvi i Drugi beramski misal te Prvi i Drugi beramski brevijar (danas svi u Narodnoj in univerzitetnoj knjižnici u Ljubljani, Slovenija) te župna crkva sv. Martina, izvorno srednjovjekovno zdanje, o čemu svjedoči glagoljični natpis iz 1431., i gotička crkva sv. Marije na Škrilinah sa zidnim slikama (freskama) koje je 1474. slikao majstor Vincent iz Kastva (lat. Vincentius de Castua). Te su freske jedan od najvrjednijih radova domaće istarske srednjovjekovne umjetnosti. Poseban će se naglasak staviti na izvore (osobito na neobjavljene zapisnike vizitacija porečkih biskupa tijekom 17. i 18. stoljeća) i historiografiju u pogledu proučavanja Berma i njegove spomeničke te rukopisne baštine s pokušajem davanja odgovora na jedno od ključnih pitanja: kakve su bile političke i crkvene, društveno-gospodarske, a napose kulturne prilike u Bermu u promatranome razdoblju kao preduvjet za razumijevanje mjesta čuvanja i mogućega nastanka pojedinih glagoljičnih rukopisa koji se povezuju s tamošnjom župom.","PeriodicalId":40675,"journal":{"name":"Slovo","volume":"108 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88556143","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Представлены результаты анализа морфологической системы текста, на основании которых докулект буллы классифицирован как славянизированный древнехорватский письменный язык с чакавской диалектной основой. В ряде форм отмечена конкуренция более архаичных (высоких, церковнославянских) и более инновационных (нейтральных, древнехорватских) окончаний, cр. bozê, bozi; biskupe, vêki; pridan’i, obiran’û; sego, sega; apustolskago, apustolskoga; silu, hitrostiû; budetь, bude; pristaemь, dopuĉamo и т. д. Возникновение этой конкуренции связано с целым рядом изменений в древнехорватском письменном языке: развитием праславянского *-ě, смешением окончаний разных типов склонения, заимствованием окончаний из диалектного континуума и влиянием одного деклинационного подтипа на другой. С одной стороны, количественное сравнение конкурирующих форм показывает доминирование инновационного слоя, что позволяет классифицировать язык (древнехорватский). С другой стороны, область распространения архаичного слоя позволяет установить основные инструменты стилистической славянизации языка (осознанной или неосознанной). Параллельное использование дублетных форм – признак более высокого регистра, фактически представляющий собой использование средств грамматической синонимии.","PeriodicalId":40675,"journal":{"name":"Slovo","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90787147","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Paleografskom i jezičnom analizom utvrđeno je da je FgSmb2 pripadao jednomu hrvatskoglagoljskom brevijaru većih dimenzija iz 14. stoljeća koji je vjerojatno sa sobom donio nepoznati pop glagoljaš bježeći u samoborsku okolicu nakon prodora Osmanlija u južnije hrvatske krajeve.Sadržajno je FgSmb2 dio temporala s čitanjima na Božić i osminu Božića, odnosno dio Slova sv. Augustina biskupa, Slova sv. Leona pape i početka Evanđelja po Luki. Jezični čimbenici koji ovaj fragment datiraju u 14. stoljeće su: primjeri vokalizacije jera nisu česti, jat je očuvan na izvornim mjestima. U FgSmb2 se na mjestu d + j bilježi žd, tj. očuvano je starije stanje kao u fragmentima iz 12. i 13. stoljeća, u kojima se đerv piše samo u stranim riječima: e(van)ĵ(e)lski C6, anĵ(e)lь C14, C36/D1, s jednom iznimkom: voĵinьstvo C25. Na morfološkoj su razini očuvani pravilni crkvenoslavenski oblici u svim vrstama riječi i oblicima s neznatnim utjecajem narodnoga govora, primjerice, u prezentu u 3. licu jednine: puĉa se B8, čini se B6 i 1. licu množine nêsmo B29, što je potvrđeno u rubrici, u kojoj su i inače uobičajeni mlađi, tj. hrvatski oblici i leksik. Ovaj je fragment uspoređen jezično i tekstološki s 12 hrvatskoglagoljskih brevijara: BrVb1, BrVat5, BrVO, BrPm, BrDrag, BrMa, BrVat19, BrVinod, BrVat10, BrN2, BrRom i BrBer2. Po duljini čitanja FgSmb2 najbolje se slaže s BrVb1, BrVO, BrN2, BrBer2 i BrVinod, dok se u leksičkim i tekstološkim pojedinostima prilično dobro slaže i s BrVat19. Tekstološki se s FgSmb2 najbolje slaže BrVat19, a najviše razilazi BrVat5. Leksička usporedba pokazala je da je tekst FgSmb2 leksički najsličniji najstarijemu hrvatskoglagoljskom brevijaru, BrVb1. Najviše se razlika među rukopisima odnosi na stariju, staroslavensku i mlađu, hrvatsku inačicu riječi, s tim da FgSmb2 redovito ima stariji izraz.","PeriodicalId":40675,"journal":{"name":"Slovo","volume":"33 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77843496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After elaborating on the general principles of training HTR models with respect to the Transkribus platform used for these experiments, the characteristics of the models trained are discussed. Specifically, the models use the Latin script to transcribe the Glagolitic source. In doing so, they transcribe ligatures and resolve abbreviations correctly in the majority of cases. The computed error rate of the models is below 6%, real-world performance seems to be similar. Using the models for pre-transcription can save a great amount of time when editing manuscripts and, thanks to fuzzy search (keyword spotting), even uncorrected HTR transcriptions can be used for various kinds of analysis. The models are publicly available via the Transkribus platform. Every scholar working on Glagolitic manuscripts and early printings is encouraged to use them.","PeriodicalId":40675,"journal":{"name":"Slovo","volume":"51 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82317675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This narrative, however, denies the vast output of classical music from the USSR and the brilliance of Soviet classical musicians, who consistently dominated international music competitions. This paper explores the British reception of visiting Soviet classical musicians to the UK from a multi-layered perspective. Starting with an analysis of the ways Anglo-Soviet musical exchanges were carried out through official government agreements, it goes beyond the traditional political focus to highlight the hitherto neglected role of British impresarios Victor and Lilian Hochhauser in coordinating Anglo-Soviet musical exchanges, and their fundamental importance to the success of such performances in Britain. It also examines interactions between Soviet and British musicians, and the relevance of these relationships to cultural diplomacy more broadly. The final section explores how Soviet music was presented to British audiences in programme notes and received in the broadsheet press.","PeriodicalId":40675,"journal":{"name":"Slovo","volume":"16 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87365014","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This assumption is assessed here in a case study using quantitative content methods to examine the discrepancies between official mass media agenda-setting and public opinion during the period of salience of the news event of the 2018 pension reforms. The pension reform, as an obtrusive domestic political issue in contrast to the unobtrusive international news events which dominate Russian news coverage, stood out as one of the major events of the year in the view of the Russian public. This article finds that official mass media undertook agenda-setting measures to deemphasize negative aspects of the pension reform news events, emphasize positive aspects, and distract public attention towards more sensationalist foreign policy news items. However, it also finds that public opinion priorities on news issues were incongruent with media agendasetting, indicating that official mass media messages are not accepted uncritically by the Russian public.","PeriodicalId":40675,"journal":{"name":"Slovo","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72882522","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of this paper is to explore how women's physical appearance is conceptualised through animal metaphors in Montenegrin webpages (the. me domain). We find that women's looks are most often likened to those of a cat (kitten, kitty), fish, mare, snake, tigress, and duck. The choice of an animal that a woman is compared to and the associated characteristics reflect entrenched cultural views which prioritise women's physical appearance. By comparing our results to those from the scholarly literature, we also conclude that the choice of some metaphors may be culturally specific to Montenegro and/or perhaps the wider Western Balkan region.","PeriodicalId":40675,"journal":{"name":"Slovo","volume":"51 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86640754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
