This study used a qualitative method with research participants as engineering education students as vocational school teacher candidates at a state university in Bandung. The informants involved in this study were five students consisting of three men and two women who had already conducted teaching planning courses. The FGD (focus group discussion) interview method was used to obtain general information and individual interviews to obtain more specific data. The expected result is that the use of curriculum design modules can facilitate students in making a good syllabus and lesson plans. One of the factors that can reduce student’s concentration in learning process is sleepiness. The teacher visually is not always able to distinguish the conditions of each student. Physical conditions that can indicate someone is sleepy is their pulse decreases from its normal condition. The purpose of this product is to help teachers knowing the real time concentration of their students using a pulse sensor that can measure the pulse rate. The results processed in a microcontroller and transferred using a wi-fi network to an Android-based application which is displayed in graphic form. In the case of a person who is sleepy and asleep based on the literature, it is found that the pulse has decreased from being awake. The characteristic of this product is it doesn’t give any side effect such as electric shock which can make the students feel depressed. It is focused on how teacher to choose the best way to teach. Moreover, there is a shift in sugarcane as a raw material for ethanol. An alternative solution to this problem is sugar production from other sources such as starch, which is widely found in local Indonesian tubers. Arrowroot tubers (Maranta arundinacea L.) are minor tubers that have potential to be used as raw material for sugar production because they contain 19.40-20.96% starch. The purpose of this study was to explore a method of producing sugar based on arrowroot starch. The method used was literature review. In general, the production of arrowroot starch-based sugar consists of extraction, hydrolysis, purification, and crystallization. Starch extraction can be done using wet or dry methods. Hydrolysis aims to break down starch into simple sugars which can be done by acid hydrolysis, enzymatic hydrolysis or a combination of both. Purification aims to remove impurities from sugar components through defecation, sulfitation, or carbonation methods. Crystallization aims to obtain sugar crystals which can be done by adding anti-solvent or cooling. Productivity and quality of arrowroot starch-based crystal sugar depend on the sugar production method used. The Indonesian state itself is taking action to close all educational institutions and shift learning to distance learning to limit the spread of the virus. However, distance learning cannot always be a learning solution, especially for practicum learning. Department of electrical engineering education, University of Pendidikan Indonesia, especially in the subject of practicum sensors and microprocessors, there is no learning media that can help students to do lab work remotely. On this basis, the researchers made an integrated IoT trainer design that can send and receive data to the IoT platform cloud service and can be developed into an IoT remote laboratory to meet the needs of remote practicum learning. The method used in this study is an experiment which includes design and testing. The design carried out is an integrated IoT trainer communication system, a gateway device, and an integrated IoT trainer. The trials were carried out by ensuring the data that was sended by the trainer was the same as the data accessed by the end-user on the IoT cloud platform. The trial results show that the end-user can access the same data as the existing data on the trainer. So it can be said that the trainer functions according to the plan. In the future development this trainer can be used as IoT remote laboratory that can support online practical work in amid pandemic. Quality vocational education is very much determined by quality of vocational teacher as well as quality of vocational professional teacher education. This paper addresses innovations in the new model of professional teacher education (PPG-Pendidikan Profesi Guru) in Indonesia. Data were collected through literature review, focus group discussion and interview with selected parties involved in PPG program. The following findings were obtained. Vocational professional teachers are prepared through PPG which is carried out at Teacher Education Institutes (LPTK) with a learning load of 38 credits for pre-service PPG and 12 credits for in-service PPG after implementation of RPL (recognition of prior learning). The PPG curriculum consists of 3 main courses, namely the Deepening of Pedagogical and content knowledges including advance materials, Development of Lesson Plan and Clinical Practicum at the partner schools. The new PPG model has the following innovations: (1) developing Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) by using the Technological and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) approach, (2) improving the sociocultural understanding of students and school environment. (3) Improving teacher competences and collaboration between supervisors and tutor teachers. (4) Improving the ability to reflect on learning. (5) Increasing leadership skills in learning. (6) Optimizing the use of ICT in PPG by applying blended learning system in PPG. These innovations are expected to be able to improve the quality of future vocational teachers in accordance with the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0. The most urgent plans were training and educating both teachers and students about living and working around the virus, this included working and studying remotely. Choosing a user-friendly learning platform was also another challenge. The digital resources used in English pronunciation class were YouTube, Quizlet, and FlipGrid. The three applications combined and used effectively in Schoology as a user-friendly platform. Moreover, the reflective practice was used to get students’ reflection toward online lesson throughout the course. Unfortunately, most teachers at the English department did not have enough time to prepare or adapt to the changes because the mandate was issued to close to the start date of the summer classes. Creating and planning online classes were proving to be absolute challenges. The information and the conclusion of this panel will help educators to prepare and choose the best way to construct a blended online learning classroom in a limited period of time more effectively. If it is related to the current pandemic condition, which causes learning to be carried out online from home, then ideally indicators to increase student enthusiasm for learning must be fulfilled in the home environment of each student, which is in line with several opinions by experts. This study aims to determine how the condition of the learning environment of students at home which focuses on the arrangement of the learning room, and also to determine the student's learning motivation and how the effect of the learning space at home on the learning motivation of each student. This research method is quantitative descriptive analytic. The research sample consisted of 32 students from class X.1. Geomatics Engineering SMK Negeri PU West Java. This research results that the perception of learning space at home has a positive or good value, with the sub-indicator of the highest score on the indicator of placing furniture or learning facilities that have been placed in a position that cannot hinder / interfere with learning activities. Meanwhile, the lowest subindicator is obtained in the indicator if in a closed room, there is an Air conditioner. While the results shown by the questionnaire to assess student learning motivation are in the high category, with the highest indicator on the qualification results indicator, namely feeling satisfied if the achievement results are better than before, and for the lowest indicators obtained on the indicators of desire to be praised by the closest person and desire. to be given an award (a gift in the form of material or money) if it gets a good value. This study was conducted at a meat processing practicum with 48 students as participants and 5 observers. All of the data used in this study, in the form of selfassessment scores, peer assessment, and observer assessment, were analyzed by looking at their similarities. The developed instrument has been declared valid by the experts. The results of the use indicate that there are 17 students with very good discipline, 8 students with good discipline, and 6 students with enough discipline. The validity is not only adapting the literature related to this instrument, but has been declared valid by experts (expert judgment), and can be used based on the results of the trial analysis.
