Education is a process which helps us to enhance the productivity as well as help us to reduce the poverty. Poverty, education and economic growth have a strong link. In the context of Pakistan, this analysis uses time series data on education, poverty, physical capital, and economic growth from 1980 to 2020.The results of GMM model confirm that education has statistically significant and positive impact on economic growth and poverty has a significant but negative impact on the economic growth. More and more effort needed to reduce poverty and the improved techniques must be implemented to boost the country economic progress.","PeriodicalId":388480,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Value and Administrative Insight","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121688554","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Likewise, the growth of agriculture is also relying on the peaceful environment of the society. This particular study was conducted to know about the negative effects of land disputes on agricultural productivity in two districts (Charsadda and Mardan) of Pakistan. A sample of 384 farmers were selected through multistage random sampling method. The data from these farmers were collected through a well-designed interview schedule adopted from the literature review, following the ethics of research and culture of the area. Results showed that the association between land disputes and net income from agricultural production was found non-significant & positive (p=0.992; = 0.039) for the high socio-economic group, highly significant and negative (P=0.000; = -0.204) for middle socio-economic group, however, was non-significant and negative (P=0.523 & Tc= -0.162) for low-income groups. Value of level of significance and Tc for entire table show highly significant and negative (P=0.000 & Tc= -0.131) association between land disputes and agricultural productivity for all the three socio-economic groups which indicated a spurious relationship based on socio-economic statuses of the respondents. The study recommended that correction, computerization, and regular updation of land records may overcome land disputes which would also aid in the avoidance of wastage of financial, social, and time resources and its positive utilization in agricultural production.","PeriodicalId":388480,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Value and Administrative Insight","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125978421","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But prior literature regarding the influence of political connections is double-edged. Motivated by the ample research on corporate political connections in the last two decades, we used to explore this sensation by running the Meta-Analysis on the sample studies to fill the gap in literature. The basic target of this study is to analyze the bona fide influence of political associations on firm performance. This study is contributing by extending the shreds of evidence in political connections literature. The sample of the study is 141. The Meta-Analysis is run on the sample studies which concludes that ROA, ROE and Tobin’s q have a positive and significant affiliation with PCs whereas, Ex-Gov Official is negatively related with firm’s performance. Overall, the study indicated a significant positive affiliation amid PCs and firm performance. These results provide a roadmap for future researchers. ","PeriodicalId":388480,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Value and Administrative Insight","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127137474","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Convenient sampling was used and data were collected cross-sectionally using the quantitative technique. A total of 350 samples is undertaken in the study with a response rate of 71%. The study found aversive leadership to be positively affecting subordinates’ moral disengagement as they might consider their leaders’ aversive behavior as an excuse for their immorality. However, moderation of proactive personalities was found to be insignificant as proactive might need a conducive environment or proper training to show up with their proactive behavior. Also, proactive employees are whistleblowers. They might lose their job or put their job in danger of being proactive.","PeriodicalId":388480,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Value and Administrative Insight","volume":"71 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127128729","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ongoing challenge of COVID-19 has intensified the teaching and research challenge of placing academicians' well-being at stake. The current study explores a personality antecedent (self-efficacy) and a contextual antecedent (job social support) of academic faculty subjective well-being measured as job satisfaction and overall satisfaction with life. Data collected from 326 public and private sector faculty was subjected to measurement and structural model analysis using SMART-PLS 3. Hypothesis testing for direct effect revealed that self-efficacy and supervisor social support are significantly related to life satisfaction. Coworker support and supervisor social support are significantly associated with job satisfaction. The moderation analysis revealed that supervisor support positively moderates the relationship between self-efficacy and subjective evaluation of well-being. In contrast, coworker support negatively moderates the relationship between self-efficacy and subjective well-being. The results revealed that although supervisor support is an important determinant of how self-efficacy leads to higher well-being among academicians, a high level of coworker support may negatively affect individuals with high self-efficacy.  The study highlights the importance of matching personality with the job's situational factors to improve faculty's well-being.","PeriodicalId":388480,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Public Value and Administrative Insight","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128730814","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
