Since the 1970s, a period of acceptance of its role as an educational tool has begun. Comics, according to many theorists and educators, not only tell the story of creatures with supernatural powers, but also have the power to transmit knowledge. This article will examine the possible use of comics as a pedagogical medium in the EFL classroom. Il starts from a problem according to which the level of the pupils drops more and more. The starting hypothesis is that authentic documents, which are an essential tool in the teaching of a foreign language, would not be used enough by teachers and that this would be one of the causes of the low level of students in French. Through a survey of teachers, this work was able to show the opinions of each other as well as their wishes and suggestions. It has been noticed that most teachers use only the book as a teaching document, which means that some skills are not developed. For some decades now, and even more to come, the main trigger for change has been technology. Being acknowledged for its immediate benefits, such as effort and time saving or enjoying the convenience of accessing wide-open resources, digital technology has considerably influenced all interested stakeholders’ perspective on education. This article aims to present the role that digital technology tools play, not only in addressing the teaching challenges inherent in the aftermath of the COVID-19, but also in engaging and empowering students attending the English for Economics and Business Communication seminar at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE Bucharest). Furthermore, the paper presents the conclusions of a small survey conducted by the author during the pandemic, among students learning Language for specific purposes (LSP). This is the call that stems from a sequential examination of existing literature. Initially, this process identified that existing research tendencies emphasize the need to understand the role physical spaces have in educational processes and highlight the demand to inquire about the opinions of educators regarding these spaces. Subsequently, analysing the manner in which these tendencies are reflected in the literature connected to teaching during COVID, showed that published research demonstrates the evocative potential of educator autoethnographies. Concomitantly, three themes stood out in the examined works: 1. physical spaces form the taken-for-granted skeleton of human existence which can be further explored, 2. matters of communication dominate the literature and set-out many yet to be probed questions and 3. physical spaces, technology and education are undeniably and complexly connected. The perspective of psychological torment and frailty in Herzog or Mr.\u0000Sammler’s Planet is combined with the awareness of an ailing and unusually large body in\u0000Henderson the Rain King. It snobbishly displays the\u0000photographs of the writers along with their names. The centre of that yellowish page\u0000contains the name of Sudhindranath Ghose, but where is his image? Sudhin Ghose, a wellknown author during his time, subsequently vanished from the literary scene. He was a\u0000successful author during the mid-twentieth century, but later was “silenced”. In this paper,\u0000I look at the reasons for the marginalization and subsequent silencing of a popular author.
