Personal protective equipment, used masks, gloves are the main contribution to the volume of waste. The handling of infectious waste is a major global concern for public health and environmental sustainability if not handled properly. This can cause the spread of deadly diseases because waste acts as a vector for corona virus deasease that lasts up to 7 days in COVID-19 waste such as masks.\u0000Aim: To identify mask waste management in the new normal era.\u0000Method: The research method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing journals about mask waste management in the new normal era from Google Scholar between 2019-2021.\u0000Findings: Mask waste management in the new normal era can be implemented well by the community. Data was collected through structured interviews, observations and field measurements. Analysis of the differences in variables between ecosystem zones used the smallest significant difference test and the Kruskal Wallis test. Meanwhile, the analysis of the impact of malnutrition on children's development used Structural Equation Modelling-Regression with a partial least square approach using the SmartPLS version 3.2.9 application.\u0000Findings: The prevalence of Papuan children suffering from developmental delays reached 77.7%, especially in language development, fine motor adaptive, and personal social.
