A didactic support sequence was elaborated and implemented as the first formal approach to its study for students in the third year of elementary level school, using, as a means, accessible manipulative materials to be used in the classroom. In order to identify the theoretical elements that served as a guide for the design of the activities and the manipulative materials, analyzes were carried out from the epistemological and didactic approaches. The didactic sequence consists of three parts: the first is based on the previous notions that the student has about fractions, using their experiences with daily life; in the second part it is contextualized, trying to formalize the object, going from a middle to a half; Finally, the use of numbers to represent fractions is introduced, making use of figural representations. It was applied to 6 students. It was concluded that the process of building their knowledge about fractions, starting with ½, associating it with their experiences, and using manipulative materials, allowed students to outline the concept of fractions and arrive at its numerical representation, giving meaning to the numerator and denominator.","PeriodicalId":366815,"journal":{"name":"Revista de Educación Básica","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122989915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research that was carried out is of a comparative and differential type since two populations will be analyzed in order to know the learning process in virtual education; it is also of a preliminary nature since it will only have one moment in the validation of the external data. The instrument had 83 variables on a decimal ratio scale and 6 general data items. The statistical treatment was based on five levels in order to obtain validity and confidence in the information. The main results of the research highlight that carrying out a practice of the topics seen enhances the learning process in the subjects. The research concludes that the most suitable education for men is the virtual one since they generate a greater type of interrelationships, abilities, skills, communication and social situations that favor a quality education. It is proposed to carry out a course focused on virtual education to learn about technological tools.","PeriodicalId":366815,"journal":{"name":"Revista de Educación Básica","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-10-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128498822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An online questionnaire was applied to 229 students, about the frequency of food consumption, grouping them into three categories of food (not healthy, unhealthy and healthy), hours and number of meals per day, influence of stress on the amount of food consumed and information about breakfast. The results showed that 29.3% of the students followed an not healthy diet, 40.6% unhealthy and 30.1% healthy; 55.5% had the three main meals, 62.9% did not comply with meal times. In stressful situations, 52.4% ingested a greater amount and 31% a smaller amount of food; 96.9% usually eat breakfast. The students surveyed presented an inadequate diet, with a deficient intake of fruits and vegetables, in addition to omitting some meal time and not complying with the recommended feeding schedules. It is essential to promote healthy eating habits in students, as well as implement strategies to access healthier foods in the university environment that allow improving the quality of the diet, which can influence health and academic performance.","PeriodicalId":366815,"journal":{"name":"Revista de Educación Básica","volume":"157 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131935232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the analyses performed on unstructured information is polarity identification. In this paper we present a method to carry out polarity identification in unstructured texts. Specifically, texts downloaded from the social network Twitter are used. The current popularity of social networks, has caused a great prominence among different users for the generation of information day by day. Twitter presents us with a great challenge in the automatic processing of natural language, mainly when the number of opinions is very large and automatic processing is required. In our case, in the determination of the polarity contained in a tweet. In this paper we present results obtained using different machine learning methods widely known in the state of the art, such as: Support Vector Machine, Naive Bayes, Logistic Regression, Nearest Neighbors and Random Forest, which are used in two implemented classification scenarios: cross-validation and training and test sets. Two data sets are used for the evaluation of the implemented methodology. The best results are obtained with Support Vector Machine for both datasets, the obtained accuracy values higher than 83 % allow to see the viability of the implemented methodology.","PeriodicalId":366815,"journal":{"name":"Revista de Educación Básica","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125443119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The thirst to know the world around us, saying metaphorically, can be extinguished while man can read the Book of Life. To develop reading skills, the interest in reading and promote universal culture, methods are developed that facilitate the obtaining of reading knowledge. Through the research \"Formation of knowledge for reading through musical procedures\" (2002-2008) a technological medium was created organized by the two modules: \"Intelligent system in sensory and cognitive development for the pre-reading stage” and the method, including software, so that the young child can learn to read in a short time, acquiring, building, and forming the necessary knowledge. The technological support made it possible to establish the tuned communication in the school classroom between teacher and student and, at the same time, to objectify the process of teaching and learning didactics to reading.","PeriodicalId":366815,"journal":{"name":"Revista de Educación Básica","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133534124","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
