In this work we developed an embedded systems application for the Android operating system aimed at collecting airborne aircraft messages compatible with the Automatic Dependent Surveillance in Broadcast mode, processing these messages and supplying them to a remote server. In order to evaluate this union of embedded hardware and software, performance analysis was used to compare the proposed solution to an alternative implementation for a general-purpose platform with similar performance. A set of metrics was used in the evaluation based on confidence intervals to validate the results.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115969902","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This fact has accompanied with the sharp development and use of apps for mobile devices by these people and their caregivers. The election of the adequate apps for persons with autism is a very difficult task, with many variables involved with the person with ASD, the family, the practitioners and the community where they live. This paper describes a recommendation system that reuse an ontology, which supports the information about the apps and all the variables previously cited. The data about the apps are automatically obtained from recognized web repositories and reports published on Facebook/Twitter from experts. This hybrid recommendation system gets the data from the ontology, in order to score the technology and to recommend the best set of apps for the studied person1.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121508545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A systematic literature review was proposed to identify the documents analyzed. The results show that telecentres (60%) and libraries (27%) are the technology options that have been most developed for the population under study. These results can be a starting point to explore options that allow the population in extreme poverty conditions to improve their status.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"296 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132119643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is based on a probabilistic calculation to select cluster head. Successive LEACH protocols have involved other parameters for the selection of cluster head, such as residual energy, location, signal strength ... However, most of these protocols do not guarantee full coverage network for all cycles. Indeed, in some cycles, cluster head may be concentrated in a portion of the monitored area, some common nodes fail to reach a cluster head. They are considered orphans nodes in the network. After 100 rounds, the first dead nodes are the sensors of the clusters of low density. The major contribution of this article is to propose a solution to join the orphan nodes to the closest clusters and consequently to have a high connectivity rate of the nodes. The work in this thesis resulted in the design and development of a new distributed clustering protocol called high coverage of connected nodes (HCCN-multihop), that significantly improves connectivity of nodes in multi-hop routing protocol for wireless sensor networks. The HCCN-multihop protocol is based on the development of two scenarios. In the first scenario, a member of the cluster High density who has a minimal distance (dmin) plays the role of a Gateway allowing the joining of the sensors of low density nodes and collects their data (CH that has the shortest distance to a member of a cluster). In the second scenarios, join a single node in a cluster with a member of the neighboring cluster.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"110 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115385325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Public organizations are recognized by the control bodies (Audit Court of the Union - ACU, System of Administration of Information Technology Resources - SISP, Strategy of Digital Governance - EGD), which, through this recognition, cause the managers of these organizations to pay attention to this area. In this case, the adoption and direction of good practices that meet the requirements of the control bodies regarding ICT Governance are necessary. Thus, the objective of this article is to propose a framework called PeticGov, with the objective to support the organizations evaluated by the TCU and to direct the ICT managers in how to implement the good practices of ICT Governance considered relevant for TCU evaluation. In order to direct the organizations in which good practice (s) to adopt based on their deficit. As results, it is noticed that the PeticGov questionnaire returns the same result of the TCU.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121528576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Analyzing the memory and electric power consumption of the protocols used in the management of these networks is a way to highlight the best protocol alternatives for this type of application. This study develops an experimental study, analyzing the behavior of SNMP, Zabbix, and MQTT protocols, in terms of memory and electric power consumption, when it is used in an Internet of Things application, with a sensor device implemented on the ESP8266. The experiment is performed by monitoring devices in an environment with some Motes and a Zabbix server. The study analyzes the ROM and RAM memories occupied by the firmware code, in addition to the electric power consumption of each protocol. At the end, the study confirms that the three protocols analyzed are supported by the platform used. The research shows that the SNMP is the protocol that consumes the least amount of device memory, that there is no significant difference in the energy consumption between the protocols, and that the MQTT protocol is suitable to be used in this environment and it also enables a significant reduction in energy consumption.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133920556","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We report our experience by analyzing three case studies whose performance issues have been addressed by using a proposed natural-language-mapping model. We discuss the advantages and the disadvantages of an automated prototype for implementing such architectural model, compared with a by-hand one. We compare the cases running out on the prototype in order to identify the suitable features the software systems should have. The final goal of the validation process is describing an ongoing research work concerned with the definition of an approach to automate processes for knowledge extraction in requirements engineering. Some of achieved findings of the performance analysis are: (i) the approach can be applied to business-based technical documents regardless of the organizational process involved; (ii) the activities related to the domain understanding can be executed in a low-costs process; and (iii) empirical methods can be used in controlled validation studies for knowledge extraction approaches.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"120 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122551810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
