Because these motes are quite simple, with low power transmission and simple antennas, these networks usually run multihop routing protocols in order to forward packets between one mote to the sink, or the collector node, using the other motes as relaying motes. Basically, these routing protocols try to find out new routes within these wireless network, optimizing different criteria, such as number of hops, network life time, throughput, etc. However, if something is going wrong within the network (big interferences, problems in one node, unstable routes, etc.), due to the lack of information retrieved related to management purpose, it is difficult to fix it and many times the outcome is critical, leaving the network out of service. To avoid these issues, we show in this paper a web tool for path monitoring and analysis within the WSN in order to improve their performance and to plan ahead this kind of problems. In this paper, we show the different alternatives in the design of this tool and the different rules applied when trying to find out the inner problems in the network. In this kind of network, using the routing packets, we can get further information of the inner problems and infer them based on the statistics and rules applied.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115221484","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

More and more companies need to have their information accessible at any time and from anywhere quickly and easily. Besides, they often need to rely on external support for their resources. Remote access is a relevant tool to promoting easy use of this feature and can become a competitive tool for a business to decentralize processes and functions in the organization. The greatest barrier to this is the network infrastructure on the companies that operate under NAT, since this makes remote access harder. In addition, keeping machines operating 24x7 and idle most of the time to enable an eventual remote access results in resource waste, especially in energy consumption and asset depreciation. This work proposes a simple and easy to use remote desktop access with the possibility of turning on equipment on demand using Wake on Lan (WoL). Besides the proposal, this work also presents a performance evaluation in the implemented platform.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123841251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As energy consumption increases exponentially with communication distance, multi-hop routing is very advantageous to save energy and prolong network lifetime. For these reasons, we propose, in this paper, ML-LEACH (Multi-Level clustering for Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) protocol that partitions uniformly a large-scale network into different layers. The election of cluster heads is performed in each layer to keep coverage of the whole monitored network area. Cluster heads in each layer collaborate with the adjacent upper layer to transmit sensor's data to the base station. Accordingly, we build a multi-level hierarchy to reduce the communication distance between sensor nodes and better distribute the energy load among them especially when the density of network is higher. Simulation results show that the proposed ML-Leach protocol achieves significant improvements in term of energy consumption, coverage and connectivity compared to other approaches.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127789121","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, robust network infrastructures will be required to make these services available. The adoption of the Software Defined Networking (SDN) paradigm in Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) fits in this context, opening up space for new features that optimize the network data flow, such as traffic engineering, flow-based packet forwarding, and interoperability. In this work, a performance analysis of OpenFlow is performed in a multi-interface WMN testbed. Among the experiments, we highlight the impact of heterogeneous mesh routers on the OpenFlow performance in single-channel and multi-channel scenarios, as well as the comparison of OpenFlow with three traditional WMN routing protocols: B.A.T.M.A.N., AODV, and HWMP. The results show a better performance of the OpenFlow in scenarios with homogeneous multi-channel routers in terms of throughput, delivery rate, jitter, and number of lost packets. In addition, the paper introduces problems related to the high overhead of OpenFlow in scenarios with multiple flows, as well as some directions to solve them.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133746109","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper proposes, through data collection, the recognition of vibratory patterns for the classification of surfaces using machine learning techniques. This is an important issue, as it offers a proposal for greater security of bicycle circulation points with the identification of possible irregularities. The analysis of roads surface quality is possible with the use of an accelerometer to collect data important for the audition of tracks. The use of Raspberry Pi as a low cost microcomputer board developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation can be helpful in onsite deployments. The Pi3 model has integrated WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity and also 4 USB ports to expand the device with all kinds of peripheral. Under the premise of offering the power of a computer at low prices, this device is one of the most affordable ways to have a particularly efficient and dynamic hardware accessible at a low price to develop a Wireless Sensor Netwok (WSN). The use of the Raspberry Pi3 permits the development of a powerful and hight efficient mote in the development of a WSN, where data is highly processed in each mote and transmissions between motes and the sink or base station (BS) can be keep at minimum. We develop an experimental setup to analyse the quality of transmission between these devices in order to a further modelization of the channel.
