This paper presents the development of Dengue 360, a tool built on the concepts and processes of business intelligence, which can be used to assist the analysis and dissemination of the epidemiological situation in a region. The goal is to provide information through maps, graphs and other visual artifacts that serve as a basis for decision-making by health managers so that they can create more effective prevention and control policies, as well as facilitate access to information about dengue fever in the region in which they live.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128385133","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Exploratory Search Knowledge-Intensive Process model considers tasks and search activities as part of a chain of actions that help clarify the reasons why a subject is searched. It also supports the visualization on how the information retrieved is used to define decision criteria about which data is worth extracting, to draw inferences, and to create a shortcut to understanding.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122946209","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These devices are constituted by a microcontroller, sensors, and they have the ability to communicate in the ISM frequency band using the IEEE 802.15.4 standard. They have their own power supply, AA or AAA batteries, processing unit, sensors and wireless communications. Usually, the motes exchange packets using a multihop routing, and the maximum communication distance emitter-receiver is around 100m. At least one mote acts as a gateway, and the data gathered by the sensors of each mote have to be sent to this mote that is named sink or Base Station (BS). In a WSN the BS is within the area of the WSN in order to receive the information. The distance between the BS and the nearest mote must be at the most 100m to be able to receive the packets. If the BS distance is farther than this distance, the communication fails, because the motes have limited power. Some techniques are proposed to overcome this distance in order to achieve a long range communication to reach the BS, for instance to communicate to a low orbit satellite. The difficulties are related to synchronization errors in the clocks of the motes. We propose an alternative technique based in a collaborative beamforming scheme, named stochastic collaborative transmission or stochastic beamforming, in which we take advantage of the synchronization errors of the clocks to achieve a large gain in a limited number of trials.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"118 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116890659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, this work proposes an intelligent solution based on classifiers as an inference mechanism capable of assisting health professionals during the process of clinical management of diseases transmitted by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, identifying the most probable diagnosis based on symptoms and outcome of exams. Thus, two learning models capable of inferring the probability of a patient being infected with a particular disease were applied, with an accuracy up to 91.6%. An intelligent API to support decision-making was then built during the clinical management of dengue and chikungunya. The solution allows several applications to access learning models. As proof of concept, a mobile application of popular consultation for the identification of dengue and chikungunya was also developed.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124155232","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Big Data is about collect, store and analysis and interpretation of datasets so big and complex that traditional applications of data processing are not appropriate to your treatment. Open Data is related to opening of data: by opening, it is understood that data must be public and available free. Looking for information transparency, government data should be open. Every day more cities and countries are opening your data. The Open Data emerge as a special paradigm in smart cities. The main goal of Big and Open Data technologies in a smart city is provide system development that can be useful to the citizens. In this work, we analyze the state of utilization of Big Data and Open data in technological solutions with interoperability between software products to smart cities. 79 publications were found and 25 of them were selected, listing some technologies able to answer the research questions of this work.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134601012","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, proper management of elasticity is necessary because computational resources can be provisioned inefficiently, resulting in idle or waste. This paper proposes an evaluation of the elasticity effects on a hybrid cloud environment. As the main result, we found that the elasticity keeps the quality level set to meet the applications running in the hybrid cloud with different workloads.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115141634","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Open Government Partnership is a group formed by over 60 countries, all countries sharing the same purpose: A plan to define open data by following a list of requirements. However, the number of open datasets is still low and does not have the minimum level of quality and technique. The Open Data initiative still faces a large number of challenges to become reality. The goal of this study is to map and characterize the main barriers prevent OGD, exposing the mitigation forms found in literature papers, as well as identifying which sectors of public administration have a higher incidence of publication on OGD. In order this, it was realized a Systematic Literature Mapping (SLM), resulting in 85 relevant papers able to response 3 Research Questions. The SLM identified 6 main barriers: Public Engagement; Culture; Economic; Political and Technical, where it is highlighted Education, Health and Finances as public sector areas with Open Data major publication incidence. The Open Government Directive, a guidelines series, published in 2009 by Ex-President of United States of America, Barack Obama is the factor most quoted in literature as barrier mitigation way in OGD implementation.","PeriodicalId":359590,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Euro American Conference on Telematics and Information Systems","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-11-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130621255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
