This time around, we analyze the last thirty years, aiming to reveal how the development pattern in the region has fundamentally changed, if it has changed at all, and find evidence as to whether the <em>empty box</em>, pursuant to its original definition, persists or not. The classification was done using cluster analysis and a sustainable livelihood approach. Our findings show that households diversify the ways they earn a living as one subsistence strategy to deal with the challenges of limited access to markets and physical infrastructure and weather-related damage from hurricanes and droughts. Likewise, rural Mexico is very heterogeneous across regions. Using additional behavior methodologies, we analyzed the within-company effect and the network effect, as well as the degree of connectivity and number of interactions between stakeholders from the worlds of business, science, and government involved in the <span>sri</span>. The results are consistent with the theoretical framework used and conclude that the external sector does indeed hinder Ecuadorian growth. In the timespan analyzed, we found that Ecuador exhibits an elevated marginal propensity to import: when national income rises 1%, imports go up by 1.57%. Moreover, we show that exports are closely related in the short and long term with external income. Some countries supported their usage and others did not. The literature witnessed the recrudescence of the debate on the relationship between economic activity and taking care of the environment, divided into three stances: degrowth advocates, “green” growth backers, and the growth agnostics. This paper dives into the different “green” terms, paying special attention to the case of Argentina. Unlike in previous papers, which have analyzed country interventions in international forums, the methodology here was to search the web pages of the most relevant local players. The aim was also to use panel data techniques to evaluate the relationship between the SCI and public spending, finding that public spending on social issues was negatively related to the SCI (elasticity was -0.5764%). Los resultados revelan la existencia de patrones de transmision de informacion de rendimientos bilaterales con efectos mas fuertes de los mercados de futuros hacia los mercados fisicos. En tanto que la evidencia de efectos de transmision de volatilidad bilateral, solo existe entre los mercados de futuros y el mercado fisico del petroleo Olmeca.
