To assist radiologists during interventional procedures, this paper aims at proposing a transfer learning-based classifier to automatically identify 14 different thoracic diseases in Chest X-ray (CXR) images. The proposed method is relied on deep residual neural networks with 50 layers (ResNet-50) to accomplish the diagnostic task of many chest diseases. In this study, a public dataset of 112,120 frontal radiograph images for Chest X-ray has been used for validating the proposed deep learning classifier. It achieved the best performance of multi-label classification of normal and 14 different lung diseases with an average area under curve (AUC) of 0.911 and F1-score of 0.66. This study demonstrated that the proposed ResNet-50 classifier as a transfer learning model outperforms other relevant methods in the previous studies for automatic multi-label classification of chest X-rays.","PeriodicalId":352371,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electronic Engineering (ICEEM)","volume":"58 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134190958","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A continuous linear finite element method is adapted to solve the forward elasticity problem when Young’s modulus is defined as variable valued function. The body’s deformation is approximated by applying an approximation of the plane stress condition. We have studied the convergence analysis of the proposed linear elasticity problem. The advantage of a biometric system is that the biometric cannot be lost, because it is a part of human body. This work aims to secure biometrics by distorting and saving them in a database to keep the original biometrics away from hackers. In this scenario, even if the biometrics are stolen or hacked up, we can reuse them again by changing the distorted versions. This paper presents a scheme for face biometric distorsion using a regularization approach. This scheme begins with adding noise to the original faces, and then applying regularized reconstruction on the noisy face images to obtain face images with magnified fixed noise patterns. These versions can be used as cancelable templates.","PeriodicalId":352371,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electronic Engineering (ICEEM)","volume":"193 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132071394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To realize a good miniaturization, a V-shape coupled-line sections unit cell has been suggested and analyzed. It achieves very good characteristics without using lumped elements, via holes or defected ground structures. The designed coupler has been implemented using microstrip technique and simulated using the CST software. It has been fabricated and measured. The comparison between the simulated and measured results shows good agreement. It has a fractional bandwidth of 51.6% and a size reduction of 44.6 % comparing to the conventional coupler. As an application, the proposed coupler has been used to build a balanced amplifier. For this purpose, a microwave transistor amplifier has been designed and simulated at the center frequency, 1.8 GHz. The simulated results of the balanced amplifier show a good flat gain over a 1 GHz bandwidth with 13.7 dB gain at the central frequency, 1.8 GHz.","PeriodicalId":352371,"journal":{"name":"2021 International Conference on Electronic Engineering (ICEEM)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131988247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, a deep learning architecture based on the convolutional neural network (CNN) is proposed to detect fires efficiently. We trained the network on 9247, picked high-resolution images containing fire and other ones without any fire, and investigated the effect of CNN depth on its classification accuracy.
