The genesis of the inter-ethnic confrontation of the various diasporas of the island, the main stages of the conflict intensification are considered. The role of third parties in the settlement of the Greek-Turkish conflict on the island of Cyprus is analyzed. The article focuses on the influence of the NATO bloc on maintaining the confrontation between ethnic communities, as well as on the tacit involvement of the USA CIA in the conflict. Particular attention is focused on the mechanism for settlement the ethnic conflict through the implementation of the UN mandate with the deployment of a peacekeeping contingent and military observers. In this regard, the author conducted a study of the danger that comes from terrorist acts committed by international terrorists using chemical components. In the process of analyzing the risks of committing chemical terrorist at-tacks, the author found that among the main tasks of international terrorist organizations when committing terrorist attacks is not only causing material damage, but the formation of a public resonance about this, and besides Moreover, these attacks are accompanied by numerous human casualties. In this regard, the author draws conclusions that the subjects of law enforcement activities must have special skills and abilities, and quickly solve various problem situations that arise during the imple-mentation of acts of chemical terrorism. In particular, in this work, a special role should be assigned to joint coordinated actions for planning and carrying out measures in the process of eliminating the consequences of chemical terrorist attacks. In the course of the study, the author convincingly proved that the prevention of acts of chemical terrorism should be carried out on the basis of a sys-tematic approach and coordination of the activities of the concerned services. It is also important in this area to carry out preventive measures in the field of training and advanced training of personnel. The author also focuses on the fact that comprehensive professional and applied training will serve as the basis for increasing the knowledge and skills of the subjects of the fight against terrorism, and will also allow the formation of the whole complex of specialized competencies of specialists necessary for performing professional tasks in the field of combating chemical terrorism. The authors note that at present there is a tendency of a steady decrease in the number of officially registered crimes among minors in the Irkutsk region. There are several reasons for the de-crease in this indicator, including demographic, a certain level of latency of this type of crime and others. The analysis of the state of legality indicates an increase in cases of aggression on the part of students against peers and teachers, the introduction of prohibited items into schools in educa-tional organizations. In other words, the authors touch upon the problem of schoolshooting. Focusing on the modern criminological features of juvenile delinquency in this region, the authors talk about the need for further prevention of deviant behavior of children. In particular, the Prosecutor's Office of the Irkutsk region has now initiated the development and submission to the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk region of a draft regional law «About mentoring minors in the Irkutsk region». In addition, the authors draw attention to other normative documents with great preventive potential, for exam-ple, the Foundations of state Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values, approved in 2022 by the President of Russia.
