PATROL AND POST POLICE SERVICE ON RAILWAY TRANSPORT: FEATURES OF PUBLIC ORDER PROTECTION

The features of the organization of administrative activities to ensure the protection of public order by the police in railway transport, as a specialized structural unit of the internal affairs bodies, are stud-ied, with an emphasis on the specifics of the technology of the process of transporting people and material values, taking into account a number of objective factors: technological; economic and geo-graphical; demographic; socio-psychological, without taking into account which the activities of the police will not be effective. The characteristic features of the organization of the police patrol service of the linear divisions of the internal affairs bodies in railway transport are revealed, taking into account the peculiarity of the functioning of railway transport enterprises, the issues of using the forces and means of the police patrol service during changes in the spring-summer and autumn-winter periods are studied, consist-ing in changing the schedule of escort of individual trains, according to the timetable for passenger, suburban and freight routes. Ensuring public safety in the field of freight traffic in railway transport is directly related to the prevention of unlawful encroachments on goods, the article reveals the methodology of activities involved in the police patrol service in commodity parks, container yards, and other objects of the railway freight infrastructure to ensure the safety of goods.
