THE DEVELOPMENT OF EXTREMISM: FROM RUSSIA TO THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract

A brief analysis of the definition of the term "extremism" is presented. The article considers the manifestation of extremism given in scientific research against the background of historical events that took place from the time of Russia to the present day. The stages of manifestation of new forms of extremism for Russia are given – state extremism against the revolutionary current, counterrevolutionary, party-state extremism. The stages of the development of extremism have been formed with reference to the adoption of regulatory documents regulating methods and methods of combating il-legal acts containing signs of extremism. An attempt has been made to determine the period of the origin of extremism on the territory of the Russian state. A conditional periodization of the develop-ment of extremism in Russia has been built
