{"title":"Interpretation of cultural and artistic traditions in TV series of the Scandinavian region","authors":"","doi":"10.37627/2311-9489-23-2023-1.77-84","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.37627/2311-9489-23-2023-1.77-84","url":null,"abstract":"The material of the article, on the one hand, systematizes the creative assets of the television of the Scandinavian countries regarding the production of series of the detective and crime genre, and on the other hand, determines the influence on their creation of cultural and artistic traditions that were formed in the territory of this region during the 19th and 20th centuries.\u0000The emphasis placed on the detective-crime genre seems quite natural, because it not only dominates the television productions of Scandinavia, but also actively uses the potential of the \"thriller\", which gives the series a special color.\u0000Attention is also focused on the \"remake\" phenomenon, with which artists are actively experimenting, expanding the artistic and emotional expressiveness of the screen image.\u0000The understanding of the detective-criminal genre of series productions of the Scandinavian region is carried out on the basis of a chronological approach, which is necessary in the process of applying cultural analysis. The article identifies the tasks facing the candidate for the degree of \"Doctor of Arts\", analyzes the ways to implement these tasks on the examples of training programs for doctors of art in universities in the United States and Europe. Special attention is paid to the interrelations of the old intelligentsia and the Soviet regime that finally occupied Ukraine.\u0000Methodology. The author uses as a methodological basis of this study, the principles and methods of the culturological approach to the analysis of numerous publications concerning the transformation of the positions of the old intelligentsia in relation to their attitude to various authorities during the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917–1921.\u0000Results. The author examines the processes of evolution of the mood and attitude of the old intelligentsia to various authorities, which had a goal to rob Ukraine. The paper shows a negative attitude of the nationally-minded intelligentsia to such authorities. However, the most part of the old intelligentsia compromised with any authorities in its struggle against the Bolshevik regime.\u0000Novelty. The author has studied a lot of archive information and periodical editions using culturological and comparative methodological approaches to analyse the views of the old intelligentsia, especially the émigré intelligentsia, concerning their attitude to various authorities, in particular, the Soviet government, during the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917–1921.\u0000The practical significance. The self-regulating system of these movements involved certain mechanisms that ensured communication of the social organization, and this, in turn, stimulated the informational and cognitive activity of society.\u0000Methodology. The author uses as a methodological basis of this study the principles and methods of the culturological approach to the analysis of numerous publications concerning problems of global warming raised by academic communities and taken up by civic (environmental) movements.\u0000Results. The alliance between scientists, environmentalists and opinion leaders has ultimately brought the issue of global environmental change into the public order of the day.\u0000Novelty. In the article, our attention is focused on two different types of civic movements (academic society and social movements, in our case environmental ones). A new environmental consciousness is being created that leads to the widespread awareness of the reality, causes and effects of climate change through science-driven civic movements operating in and through the media and the Internet. Shelkovaya","doi":"10.37627/2311-9489-22-2022-2.81-91","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.37627/2311-9489-22-2022-2.81-91","url":null,"abstract":"The authors of the article, using a transdisciplinary method of research from the standpoint of cultural studies, art history, philology, philosophy, religious studies, psychology and social philosophy, try to comprehend and identify the main meanings and symbols of Lars von Trier's film \"Nymphomaniac\", to find the main purpose of this film. At the same time, M. Epstein draws attention, first of all, to the aspect of the pathological sensuality of the main character - Joe, her nymphomania and, appealing to a woman and a man before the fall in the Bible, whom God blessed to be fruitful and multiply, shows an unusual angle of sexual relations, gradually reveals stepping the way to love and holiness through debauchery and makes a shocking conclusion, which at the same time has the right to exist, about the purifying role of hellish debauchery for gaining holiness. N. Shelkovaya pays more attention to the disclosure of symbols in the film: trees, dry leaves, a mountain, Joe's climb up the mountain in search of his soul tree, the number 8, Seligman's yard as a crypt, Joe's son's exit to the balcony, somatic self-knowledge. The evolution of the term and phenomenon in history and in the regulatory and legal sphere is traced. The approaches of foreign and Ukrainian authors are illustrated. The relationship between this definition and the concepts of \"cultural values\" and \"digital cultural heritage\" is determined. The dynamics in the field of cultural heritage preservation have been studied. The opinion that the modern concept of \"cultural heritage\" is represented by material and immaterial values, and dynamically develops in accordance with global trends, constantly absorbing new aspects is substantiated. In this article we analyze the development of the adventure genre in Ukrainian cinema in the second half of the twenties of the twentieth century. Winners define history. The making of adventure films about the Civil War (Soviet-Ukrainian war (1917–1921)) in Ukraine by specialists of the All-Ukrainian Cinema and Photo Administration was associated with the persistent attempts of the Soviet government to rewrite the real history of the struggle of the Ukrainian people for the desired independence and their own statehood in 1917–1921 into a falsified \"film history\". Olianina","doi":"10.37627/2311-9489-16-2019-2.36-45","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.37627/2311-9489-16-2019-2.36-45","url":null,"abstract":"This paper aims to substantiate the hypothesis that the design of the architectural and decorative organization of iconostases of the second half of the seventeenth — first half of the eighteenth centuries is based on the symbolic concept of the iconostasis as an image of a paradise garden.\u0000Methodology. The author uses semiotico-hermeneutical and iconological approaches as a methodological basis of this study. The iconological methodology allows to study the architectural and decorative organization of the iconostasis from new meaningful positions. The semiotico-hermeneutical approach was applied to interpret the culturally predetermined forms of the Ukrainian iconostasis and its basic symbolic foundations.\u0000Results. The author examines the reasons for the transformation of architectural and decorative design of iconostases of the second half of the 17th — the first half of the 18th century in an icon of the mountain. The paper shows that such changes occur in the iconostasis as a realization of the concept of the iconostasis as an icon of the Garden of Eden represented as a garden on a mountain in Christian exegesis.\u0000Novelty. The article proposes a hypothesis explaining the symbolic basis of composition and decoration of iconostases of the time. It proposes to link the changes in the iconostasis architecture with the theological concepts actual of Ukrainian society of the 17th-18th centuries.\u0000The practical significance. Turchyna","doi":"10.37627/2311-9489-22-2022-2.102-111","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.37627/2311-9489-22-2022-2.102-111","url":null,"abstract":"The article analyzes the archetype of the trickster and its embodiment in the artistic images of Goat and Malanka in the oratorio «Barbivska Kolyada» by the modern Ukrainian composer H. Havrylets. The etymology of the concept of «trickster» and its meaning in both archaic mythological thinking and modern culture are considered. The archetype of the trickster has been found to be reflected in human consciousness and folklore through archetypal images of the trickster and the cultural hero, which can exist both syncretically and separately. The history of the oratorio of Hanna Havrylets «Barbivska Kolyada» is taken into consideration. The commonality of the features of Christmas carols and carnival from the standpoint of tricksterism is emphasized. It was found that Goat and Malanka embody both the traits of a trickster and a cultural hero, which testifies to the archaic, syncretic nature of these images. The characteristic trickster features inherent in the images of Goat and Malanka are analyzed: ambivalence, mediation, carnival, liminality, clownish behavior, playful and funny nature. It constantly occurs at different times of the day, in varying degrees, without a specific place or sphere of human activity.\u0000Screen dependency is the acute obsessive need of a person to use devices, the design feature of which is a screen availability, through which various types of information represent real life and which make modern Internet technologies material.\u0000While researching, it was discovered that the screen dependency actually covers a number of other well-known destructive human dependencies, in particular, dependence on the computer, television, mobile communications, and the global Internet network.\u0000It is determined and argued that the screen devices as a powerful source of information and a significant resource of social development can enrich the artist with the latest creative ideas.
