It was J. Addison who belonged to those intellectuals of his time who perceived, positively evaluated and - within their own capabilities - contributed to the "entry" of certain enlightenment ideas into the research space of the time. On the one hand, they significantly expanded the ideas of his contemporaries about the potential of aesthetic knowledge, the attribution of which at the turn of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, albeit slowly, but transformed from a rationalist model to the recognition of the positive role of sensory factors. The role of J. Addison's scientific research on the phenomenon of "aesthetic experience" and its possible interaction with "imagination" is emphasized. This theoretical orientation contributed to the formation of philosophical and psychological theory of imagination, which later became entrenched in the European research space thanks to J. Vico.\u0000J. Addison's literary and theatrical environment was reconstructed, which intensified the popularization of his work in England, enabling the influence of the writer, poet and playwright on the current process of cultural creation and outlining the importance of his heritage in the national and European humanities due to the favourable assessment by R.G. Collingwood.\u0000It is proposed to use the factors of culturological analysis - interdisciplinarity, personalization in the context of the biographical method, dialogism and formal-logical structure "theoretical-practical parity", as far as the transition from classicism to the Enlightenment taking into consideration the time was an important historical and cultural stage which can also be the object of theoretical analysis in the framework of cultural history and culturology.

The author draws attention to the importance of studying the nonviolence phenomena, its epistemological and ontological characteristics and to the difficulties of the correct theoretical interpretation of the ‘nonviolence’ concept in contemporary sociocultural knowledge. The article proves that only the culturological approach is the most effective cognitive instrument for identification in the historical perspective the achievements of traditional cultures in the forms of worldviews, ideas and recipes for the non-violent organization of everyday life and social management.\u0000\u0000It overviews the problematics of genetic sources, ideological conditions and traditional non-violent practices. The author proposed the critical analysis of the basic worldview communicative principles for non–violent human coexistence. The author researches shortcomings of the Eastern version of the non-violent worldview, the reasons of the dubious achievements of this worldview in European culture; yet proving that in the Western societies the tolerance phenomena as the principle of freedom of religious belief and of human behaviour is the modified manifestation of nonviolence.

It has become the basis for diagnostics and the study of phylogenies within biology. Its various aspects are applied in different branches of humanities, meanwhile, it lacks its approach towards the history of culture. The definition of phenomena and epiphenomena as the prerequisite for mental experiments can exemplify its effectiveness for the historical researches. The phenomenological principle of subjective activity makes it possible to develop the doctrine of intentional reflection as the instrument for disclosing targets in the situations of conflicts. The concept of eidetic reduction and the evaluation of a priori experience turn to become effective for the study of historical consciousness. The intuitionist logics aims at the presentation of proper names conforming to the peculiarities of unique and irreproducible historic events. The distance of historical objects can be conceived on the basis of cycled constructions as the instrument of eidetic logics. The concept of inter-subjective relations generalizes that of communication as the condition of existence of ideal objects. Phenomenological models have proved to become effective to explain such peculiarities of stylistic development as the permanence of traditions together with their revival and transformation. There arises the principle of mutuality of synchronic and diachronic aspects of text together with the formation of the concept of history as text. Theatrical interpretation becomes the model of a mental experiment in history.

It was found that in modern mass culture the recreational component acquires new meanings. This is due to the orientation of Ukrainian modern cultural industries on the mass consumer, which, in turn, leads to the emergence of new recreational forms of leisure activities. A set of factors that determine the essence and indicate the proximity of mass culture and the leisure industry is the following: the implementation of maximum social communication, the possibility of maximum replication and diversification of artifacts of mass culture. The features inherent in modern mass culture are determined: multiplicity, lack of a single center, heterogeneity, combination of everything with everything. It was found that the modern recreational infrastructure exists and develops in the communicative field of mass media, without which the mass distribution of recreative media texts, as well as the production would be impossible. Recreational infrastructure of mass culture is defined as the leisure industry. The specified division of the mentioned industry in Ukraine into three basic sectors - leisure, entertainment and holidays is offered. It is proved that the recreational component is present in all types of services provided by these industries, or recreation is their main content. It is noted that in the socio-cultural life of modern Ukraine, recreational services of the leisure industry have the function of a socio-regulator in mass culture.
